The whole operation seemed like a cash grab. First time I've been to a doctors office and felt more like I was at a car dealership to buy a car and the salesman was ready to start upselling the options. They gave the impression they were most interested in how much money they could get out of you. The first form they give you is just a menu of other services they offer that you may be interested in. I was only interested in treating the eczema on my hands which is the purpose of my visit. Once I was in the exam room the doctor looked at me for all of 90 seconds, recommended some hand cream (that they sold in the office. More on that in a min.) They also proposed a shot to help healing and the itch. It was not until after the shot that they asked me to sign that I understand the potential risk of the shot. It should have been on the practice to inform a patient of any potential risk prior to administering anything. Back to the hand cream. At checkout they pull a $60 bottle of hand cream out of the cabinet. When I ask them to put it through to my insurance like the visit they said I can do it myself but it would be pointless because they wouldn't pay for it. I asked them to call in something equivalent to the pharmacy, which they did, because my insurance covers prescriptions. It ended up costing $2.80 It's surprising they didn't have credit card scanners in the exam rooms... you know for the convenience of the patient. read more

Incorrect code caused significant overcharge for a visit - have been trying to resolve the issue for 5 months without a single call back from an office manager or billing manager. In addition, treatment was poor and had to seek care elsewhere after being charged almost $900 for a 4 minute visit. read more

I chose this place because of its relatively good rate. However, I am very disappointed with the experience. I traveled from another city to this clinic, but the appointment only lasted for 2 minutes. I am really concerned about having got a vitiligo, but the doctor (Dr. Brodsky) did not mention the option of testing it, even I am right at the clinic. Instead she only gave me some facial products and an ointment. The products really sting my eyes and my face starts to peel after applying them twice. But due to the pandemic, those products cannot be returned (which I understand). But the ointment is not effective at all - my symptom is worse. The white patches on my face keep growing and my eyelashes are becoming white. However, I have to pay for everything they gave me and the appointment. Again the experience really upsets me, and I would not recommend the Derm. read more

First started with The Derm in Wilmette a few months back. Scheduling an appointment happened faster than I expected--no problem getting an appointment within days of my call. I was fortunate to have an appointment with Dr. Aisha Sethi (MD). Aside from Dr Sethi being one of the most pleasant people I have come across in a long time she identified my skin problems and addressed them straight away. Additionally, I have a always had dry skin that she addressed with a medication that provided me a fix for the first time in many years. I cannot recommend the Derm...and Dr Sethi enough! read more

I visited office to MD Brodsky. They provide me some procedures and I left. 5 min later, while I was driving, I felt that something is leaking on my left side. I stopped on first possible parking, checked my back and discovered that I'm bleeding. My shirt soaked in blood, seat in the car in my blood, blood was leaking from place of procedure. For my luck I kept in the car First Aid Kit and was able by myself to stop bleeding. Next I had scheduled another appointment to the Doctor. 2 days before I received phone call from The Derm and they stated that my appointment cancelled. I asked when I can get next appointment, and The Derm answered that next appointment I need wait 3 months. I didn't received any apology for inconvenience or something like that. The Derm told me if there is something, that I don't like, I always can find another Dermatology. It's absolutely rude and disrespectful attitude towards patient. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE if you need actual dermatological medical services. It is a boutique for rich north shore ladies who want pay through the nose for botox/filler injections. It is not for people are looking for medical procedures covered by insurance. I went in for the latter - a overall mole check (preventative and should be covered by insurance at 100%) and the removal of 1 skin tag - and will never go back. They took me in for a 3 min mole check and then told me that they have a flat rate of $150 for up to 15 skin tags.....they did that in another 3 mins. When I left, I paid the $150 and thought, well that was expensive, but whatever. THEN I got another bill for $200. When I called, then explained that that was for the mole check/1st visit and even though they submitted to insurance, they don't ever code things as preventative - 'They just don't." - prob because they make more by fleecing their patients. read more

What an absolute disappointment. I was very excited to start my treatment with Dr. Brodsky who seemed very nice, but someone from her front desk staff misscheduled my treatment by a month. I drove 30 minutes to another location, took off of work for two days, and wasted my time pursuing this treatment. Being obviously upset in the office after them telling me I will not be treated today, you would think they would offer any alternative (discounted treatment, another appointment) nope. I am canceling all my other appointments and further treatment because I don't have time to be going to an appointment that wasn't actually scheduled by the front desk. As someone who works in healthcare, I understand how difficult and how easy your job can be and this was a very easy situation to fix. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. After providing a detailed explanation of my struggles with acne for the past 10 years to the nurse, Dr. Sethi came in and glanced at my skin for no more than a second before beginning to sell me products. I kept reminding her that I've tried all the ingredients she mentioned and that the ORAL medication that has previously worked is no longer working. This was the furthest thing from medicine l've ever experienced. Find a real dermatologist. read more

Not only is Doctor Amy Brodsky knowledgeable and on the cutting edge of the latest technology for Skin, HAIR, preventative combat against everything there is to know about Dermatology but also an expert in feeling and looking your best. Dr Amy is the most caring and down to earth Doctor I have ever met. I just wish she would widen her education to other fields that I would need such as Gynecology, Kidneys and etc. No joke people this is where you need to be right here. I went in due to my adult acne, and on my first visit ( I saw Dr. Brodsky) she literally told me to just do accutane! I was like woahhh is there anything else I can do or help me find what's causing it and she really didn't help me much. So I decided to do my own research and found out it was probably my birth control (Implanon at the time) so I took it out and my acne stopped completely. So I go back to see if she could guide me to a better birth control option and she walks into the room and says "I told you it was the birth control you look amazing" and I'm thinking ("no you didn't I did my own research and took the chance to take it off"). Anyways, she didn't really help me find a new birth control for my acne. I ended up going to my gynecologist. And because I had a lot of scarring she recommended id do microneedling and it was like 3 sessions for almost $1000 so I was like no again! I ended up going to spaderma in Lincoln Park and they had a 6 sessions package for almost the same price! Another thing, their products were alright I like their benzol peroxide and their moisturizer but I feel like it's something I could easily find at ulta or Sephora. She's a really nice doctor but pushing me to accutane on my first visit, didn't help with another bc and their high prices was a no for me. Moral of the story if you have acne do some research first on what might be causing it, instead of going to the harsh stuff right away. Patience is key so don't give up! I saw Dr Borowickz for my facial acne. She prescribed me isotretinoin which worked as expected. I have been happy with the result and the service until I got a call about 5 months after my last visit telling me I still have remaining balance. I have been paying through our HSA but for some reason although they have been charging our HSA account, none of my payments were posted. I have read before that they're billing was a nightmare to deal with. I ignored that but it turns out to be true. Had it not been for their billing, i'd give them a higher rating. read more

After spending more than a thousand dollars on both their facial products, microneedling and fraxel laser treatment, I did not see the results for which I had hoped. Though there was a slight improvement, I didn't find it substantial given the money I had spent. The creams they offer are simply stamped with their brand, and you can find them cheaper elsewhere. I was told that I would see improvements if I continued treatment - however, it's hard to buy that once you've already doled out hundreds of dollars, just to see minimal results. On top of undergoing very painful treatments, was not even fully reimbursed the money which I had spent, when it came to. The one positive takeaway from going to The Derm was having Mallory do my treatments - she was very professional, knowledgeable, kind and helpful and that was the one thing I looked forward to out of my entire appointment. I've seen other drs for injectables but dr Jessica Borrowitz it's the best, she's an artist and super sweet. A bit pricier than previously but she is amazing. Everything is just slightly enhanced and not artificial looking. I came back after i was very pleased the first time and I will be her regular. She came highly recommended from a friend. read more

I have been seeing the doctors at The Derm for about 4 years. I had a few suspicious spots on my face and neck. They removed the areas and offered skin care advice. I love their face creams and makeup. The doctors are friendly and give you the time you need. Unlike other dermatologists I have seen that will not spend more than 2 minutes with you. read more
