I called, explained the situation and the receptionist was nice and sent me a Patient Consent form via email with me authorizing my daughter to be seen. The form states "I hereby grant the Physician permission to treat my child when they arrive at the office unacompanied" Furthermore, I was told her maternal grandmother could attend with her which I added her name to the consent form, though it was not required. My senior parents rushed to accompany my daughter. My daughter has a very challenging schedule with HS Sports and this visit was scheduled some time ago to accomodate that. She rushed after school to get there. She was rejected by the Office Manager and could not be seen. WHY HAVE A CONSENT FORM IF IT IS USELESS? Why ask me to fill it out? Why waste our precious time? We are done here. They lost 2 patients today because of this ineffective office management and not following their own policy. The office manager is in need of training and Dr Goldberg should review her policies and educate her accordingly or seek a staff that knows what they are doing and do not bring an attitude that was so unnecessary. It takes a village and the office staff represents the Doctor and if they cannot do so in good spirit then that is sad. This was the last straw. Moving on....

I went to her for a consult for Coolsculpting. First point, I actually met with her! She is a very prominent and experienced physician. She took her time and was very methodical in her approach. She told me what would be effective, what might be effective, and what won't be effective and why. She offered other options. I was upset at first because she wouldn't do as I asked, and amazed that she seemed to be refusing business. That said, we agreed to start with one area and a month later, I am beginning to see results, which is right on schedule. I look forward to continuing my procedures. She didn't want me to spend money unless there was certainty as to its effectiveness. Contrast that experience with visits to other "CoolSculpting" providers. I was asked to provide far too much information for simply a "consult." I was not seen by a doctor. The PA (I believe) came in and noted all sorts of areas could be done and was pushed in to a "package deal." I was about to plunk down the money and thought at the last minute to think about it. On my way home, I thought Dr. Casas' experience was far more genuine, more knowledgable, not pushy, very scientific in her approach, even if it meant losing or delaying business. The total cost of the procedure is $2000 and they promise a large reduction of sweating as I suffer from hyperhydrosis. I understand some people may require a second treatment and I am ok with that. I was told a follow up treatment would cost half the price of $1000. I call the office and was told that I had to pay the full treatment price again of $2000. This felt like a bait and switch and disappointed because I was going to bring my son in for the same treatment. I am now back to square one and felt like I wasted $2000 for no reason when I could have gone to another clinic with better service. Spoke to other medical professionals and they told me it was because he didn't stitch it tight enough. Makes sense because right when I got in the car blood was literally dripping down and out of my face and I thought it was normal for some reason.. it wasn't. Ever since I got the surgery I told him something wasn't right but then I was charged again for him to fix what he messed up. Even tho I told him the next day after surgery. Also I was completely over charged. Should have shopped around more or talked to more people because my cousin was charged half the price for the exact same surgery and when I asked other surgeons afterwards, they told me it should have be half the price I paid. Unfortunately I got ripped off and have a permanent scar on my face. I tried emailing them but no response so unfortunately I'm left leaving this bad review. Also- Nicole the nurse will try to negotiate with you.. it so sad. Pushy- after coming down $2,500.00- still over double the price, she said i better not change my mind because if she goes back and tells dr byun and i end up not doing it she's going to look stupid... lol I really??
