Consultation is quick and not by the doctor. He came in the room for 2-minutes to view me, then left. The assistant described the surgery is done under local anesthesia so you're awake, no thanks. An outrageous price was given, then assistant walked out and came back with a new number, it felt very car-dealership like. No follow up after consultation to see how I was doing, which spoke volumes considering my visit was due to an issue with his original work. I did my research and got a second opinion- the difference in care and service was like night and day. I'd steer clear of Dr. Sarosy. It's time for him to retire.

I explained that I have always been naturally thin, but instead of listening, he continued making assumptions about me personally and said the deeper issue was that I was unhappy with myself. I fully understand that a surgeon can decline elective surgery for medical or safety reasons. That was never the issue for me. The issue was the delivery, the judgmental tone, and the lack of professionalism and compassion throughout the interaction. At one point he even rolled his eyes while I was trying to explain myself. No patient should leave a consultation feeling humiliated or psychologically analyzed instead of medically evaluated. I am sharing my experience so others are aware of the bedside manner they may encounter here.
