With the first phone call Missy had put me at ease and answered all of my million (ridiculous) questions. Luna had a great time and came home extremely well mannered yet the same goofy girl she was going into the program. Upon pick up it was apparent how well cared for and how loved she was while in their care. Jeff and Missy are the best people ever; I trusted them 100% and will forever trust them with her (and my future babies). They have truly become part of our family. Money well spent.

Off Leash in Columbus, GA, specifically Missy and Jeff, has been the best training program I've experienced because it is the first type of training that gives me the knowledge and tools I need, plus the personal accountability, to follow through with my dogs' training at home. I am in the process of having 3 dogs go through their "board and train" program; one that has fully completed the training. I'm a self-described "psycho pet mom" and was nervous about leaving my dog with "strangers" for two weeks. I was able to contact Missy/Jeff by text, phone, email whenever I wanted to just "check in" and 99% of the time received an "immediate" response...even if I just wanted to see a picture of my dog. I fully believe they care about my dog as much as I do. After my first dog completed her board and train program, Missy and Jeff made themselves available for "refreshers" (which are free for the life of your dog by the way!), including coming out to my house. I could not recommend this program more. And, because I'm writing this review at a time when a lot of people are working from home/kids out of school, if you're at home right now, get out of the house and schedule a lesson with these folks in an outdoor location....a park, your backyard, etc. It's a great way to get outside and spend time with your fur baby and gain the knowledge you need to train your dog! And one more thing....I was someone who was not very good at disciplining because I wanted my dog to only feel love....after following through with the training on my own, my dog respects and therefore LOVES me even more....she never stops laying at my feet. Before, she was unable to be near other dogs, couldn't let her off leash unless we were completely alone, and constantly worried about her in public. He taught us how to correctly read her and understand her so we could then set her up for success. He used lots of desensitization, counter-conditioning, and reinforcing positive decisions to communicate to her the correct response to things that scared her. We are able to reinforce her trust in us now, and now have gained priceless knowledge for both ourselves and her. She has been able to greatly reduce any anxiety and stress she has and we now have a much stronger bond and can see a visible difference in her. We are thrilled with the work Clint did with her and how he gave her and us the training to allow her to live in a much happier, stress-free, and confident place.

I have toured several kennels in the Columbus area and the smell hit me like a brick the second I walked in. Not here! Pets are welcome, just make sure to clean up after them. Downside is that on weekends it is FILLED with animals, which can overwhelm some dogs, but it's a good opportunity to socialize puppies with other dogs. I didn't realize this facility wasn't located at the actual vet's office. If I had noticed that detail, I never would have chosen this place. That part is on me. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a nightmare. I was told I would receive daily report cards and photos. I only received two photos on one day, and that only happened after I called three times asking for updates. After that, I received nothing for the rest of their stay. It felt like my dogs were being completely ignored. They were supposed to get a morning treat every day. They only received two out of the five days. On pickup day, they were supposed to eat around noon. I arrived at 5 p.m. to find out they still had not been fed. Their bedding was soaked in urine and covered in feces. Their treat bags had bite marks all over them like they had been left out and a dog got into them. To top it off, we provided an entire jar of calming chews, and it was not returned to us. It was disgusting and heartbreaking. Since coming home, my dogs have not been acting like themselves. I truly believe they were neglected and possibly traumatized while in this facility's care. I am sick over it. I would never recommend 2nd Home Pet Resort to anyone. No animal deserves to be treated like this, and honestly, this place should be shut down.

We quickly found out that Bo is an impressive jumper once he was in the care of Paws & Play. He was able to clear their 6 foot fence! Luckily they caught him and called me immediately. At pickup we were told that not only had he jumped the fence he jumped from stall to stall (just to socialize) and that's the reason he isn't allowed back. I 100% understand this decision and respect it due to safety concerns. They spoke so sweetly of my jumping bean despite all the trouble he caused. Even recommended other facilities in the area that could possibly help. Based on my experience, I can attest to how much the employees & owners care for these animals. They were sad Bo couldn't come back, but maybe once his jumping is under control we can try again.
