Fantastic pet spot! Just picked up our Daisy after 3 days of open boarding and Very pleased with how Daisy was treated. We were concerned about Daisy's fear of large dogs due to being attacked several times. At the end of three days Daisy was in the park with Mak and the larger dogs and doing very well. Nichole was very professional and gave us an excellent tour. Gave us spot on information about Fur-baby's and was very helpful. I was amazed at how clean and well kept the facilities were. When we toured the inner kennel there were no urine or feces smell and the dogs were kept in custom made wooden kennels. I have toured several kennels in the Columbus area and the smell hit me like a brick the second I walked in. Not here! When we toured the run area we were not only surprised at how big it was but also how clean! Not one sight of doggy doo anywhere. Oh and Did I mention the pictures they post several times a day! If I could give them no stars I would! Amanda is rude and sloppy. Her work is rushed and she does what she wants to your dogs. The owner allows her to be rude and treat customers any way. I have used them before and the groomer who no longer works there was respectful, patient with my dog and professional. The owner was too busy trying to bash the old worker that he didn't listen or address my concerns with the new puppy. He is money hungry and racist. My dog was shaking when I picked him up. We love FurBaby! We leave our dog with Mak and his incredible staff everyday for daycare. When we pick up at the end of the day our baby is exhausted from playing all day! We frequently use FurBaby for kenneling, too! The staff at FurBaby takes such great care of our dog that we are not worried about having to check in. So sadly I am not able to speak on the level of the actual service due to the issue that drove me to writing this review. My impression of the establishment is rather poor at the moment and this mainly pertains to my first initial phone call trying to get information about scheduling, pricing and service's provide. Right off the bat the gentleman who answered the phone carried a tone as if the call itself was just an annoyance. The gentleman proceeded to carry that same demeanor as I was trying to get information about their grooming services. It seemed as though he was more focused on driving me away than actually trying to provide the option of scheduling an appointment. Considering this interaction with staff over the phone I am a little disheartened considering I've seen may other positive testimonies and reviews. I was originally looking forward to utilizing them for my dog groom needs, but after just this interaction over the phone I find myself back on the search for a groomer here in Columbus. read more

About 2 weeks ago I was recommended Fur-Baby by another daycare in the area. I emailed FBPS and let them know that my dog has jumping issues and will try to jump the exterior fence and inside pens. I was told that that would not be a problem (via email) and they handle dogs like this often. My boyfriend and I dropped our dog off on Saturday morning and again was told that his jumping would be monitored. At pick up we were told by an employee that our dog was no longer welcome due to his jumping. I explained that I was told his jumping would be monitored and that it would not be a problem. This employee was rude and it felt that she was accusing us of not letting them know of the jumping ahead of time. I was not notified during the day that my dog was causing the issues this employee said he had. I asked why I wasn't contacted to come pick him up if he was causing chaos? I was told "We just wanted to let you know at pickup" In my opinion I think Fur-Baby did not fulfill the promises they made and the non-existent communication is reason enough to stay away. I emailed them yesterday to notify them that I was displeased with the service provided and I have not received any response back. read more

I took my two dogs here for about 28 hours and whenever I picked them up, their paws were wet and they smelled of urine. I didn't realize until halfway home that it was urine, not water, on their paws. I had to wash my car seats and give the pups a bath whenever I got home. Not worth the $80 at all. read more

Booked online to have my dog groomed and was not serviced. I received a confirmation email telling me i was booked for 3pm with Judy. I arrived at 230pm for service after taking off from working dropping what i was doing just to be turned away saying they have no room for my pet today. Poor service will never go back. Took my 2 German Shepard to get a bath Cost me $115 dollars. Charge me 10 dollars because my dogs are not neuter/spad never told me that I would be charge. When I pick my dogs up as riding in my SUV went into the store got back in my truck they smell like wet dogs. Call back to for fur-baby's told them my dogs smell like wet dogs. Yes I went to there page on FB wrote compliant the owner wrote a long response but never call me back. Yes Samson is a aggressive dogs the groomer had no problem but as soon as I complained that when they had to complain about Samson. Mak and the team at Fur Baby Pet Services are pretty much my favorite people in the world. I broke my ankle a few months ago, and started working full-time so I couldn't give my dog the exercise during the week that he deserves. Since bringing Art to Fur Baby, he has been better behaved and MUCH more calm on weekdays. He is so tuckered out when we bring him home that he just curls up next to us and naps (which normally takes us a lot of effort to do). The staff at fur baby have been a big help and are also super friendly. I'm so thankful that I have an awesome facility that I can trust for my dog to spend playtime with other awesome pups! read more

I was extremely nervous about leaving one of our fur babies in someone else's care while we went out of town for five days. However, these guys and ladies gave me reassurance that our dog would be in great hands and taken care of while we were away and it was true! When we dropped him off on the first day, we left with a sense of peace knowing he would be in good hands while we were gone. It's a plus that you can see pictures of them daily to let you know how they are doing. And we opted to have him a bath and tonsils trimmed on the day we picked him up and he smelt so good when we picked him up. If you have to leave your fur babies to allow someone else to watch over them while you are away or just for a day this is the place! You will not be disappointed! read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would! Not only is it a AWFUL place to work it is an AWFUL place to board your babies. I'll start with what's most important to the consumers, your babies will be abused and fed food you did not bring with them, without any consultation or reason. An employee here actively abuses the dogs, Mak was informed and he did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it, continuing to keep them on shift. A different employee fed all types of crazy stuff to the dogs, including but not limited too: pot roast, Jimmy Johns, wet food that came with other dogs, etc. It simply does not matter if your dog had a strict diet or medical condition, she will still feed them random stuff. Several employees informed both Mak and Anna but neither did anything except make excuses. Now on to the HORRIBLE employee conditions: Mak would constantly overbook us, leaving us with as high as an employee to pet ration at 4 employees to 115 dogs. When this issue was brought up, Mak stated "you wouldn't know anything about being overbooked or overworked unless you were in the military". By the way he is ALMOST never at the shop!! While I have no idea of the military life, working in these conditions I would barely have time for at least a bathroom break. He completely ignored the fact that not only does this terrible ratio negatively effect the employees it effects the quality of care for your babies. I promise you he does not care about your babies or their care but only the money you are providing him. This ratio makes it to where your babies aren't getting out as much as they should nor are their spaces or the facility being properly cleaned. While you may think this is as worse as it could get, ITS NOT. Employees here are paid less than livable wages, the lowest being possibly less than $4 an hour. Not to mention the fact Mak will not only try to manipulate and bully his employees, he will do the same thing to his future and current customers. He constantly manipulated his employees into believing they were less than him. He'll also make multiple promises he can not keep in order to bribe you into staying. I suffered several mental breakdowns from working here for a little over a year. Not even from the pressure of working in a business like this but simply from the way Mak Son treated myself and my co-workers. I didn't even receive workers comp for a very bad bite I received towards the end of November even though he insisted I was on his insurance. I had to get stitches and surgery. He constantly tried to pin my sister, and other employees against each other, making us compete for his approval and respect. He also sexualizes his female employees!! Please do not consider this place for training, daycare, or boarding. While all this said Amanda and Dorance are amazing people and amazing groomers and deserve the best. read more

We took our extremely furry, matted dog to get groomed here. We were hesitant to get him groomed again after a horrible experience at another place in town (he was literally depressed for weeks afterwards, and looked like a naked mole rat). However, we were blown away by this place. The staff was amazing, and polite. Our dog who is a bit hesitant with men, loved the owner from the instant they met. The haircut was great, but what really made it worth it was how the staff treated us and our dog. It was worth every penny. Thank you guys so much. read more

Had been using them for at least 2.5 years bringing 2 dogs in for boarding & grooming. Never had any problems until recently when trying to book a grooming appt for 1 of my dogs. The appointment was a week & a half out & asked if someone could give me a follow up call. I was told yes. Needless to say, I forgot when the appointment was & called & was told it was for today & the person that took the appointment failed to right the info down to call to remind. Let me tell you why I recommend Fur-Baby Pet Services: 1) Veteran-owned. I think Americans need to support our Vets in more ways than posting "I stand by our troops" or sending soap and feet warmers downrange. (Although, Thank you to those who do the latter!) 2) They have more than one option for boarding. Our dog doesn't do well in a dog run or cage, so their free roam is perfect for her. 3) Fair prices. Some of the places we have used for boarding and grooming are priced way above market and don't provide anything extra for the cost. 4) Friendly staff! I have never met anyone in the staff at Fur-Baby Pet Services that isn't polite, professional, and an obvious animal lover. 5) Pictures- They post pics of the animals on Facebook while your dog is in their care and it puts my mind at ease seeing Lily playing with other dogs, splashing in puddles, or protected indoors during rough weather. read more

I hate to be the first bad review, but customer service is lacking. I called in tonight to ask about their grooming package and pricing, and was told to please hold on a few minutes. No worries, I understand being busy. I was put on hold for about ten minutes and then got hung up on. I thought "okay, maybe a bad connection" but was really disappointed that they didn't even bother calling back. I was looking forward to coming here for my puppy's first haircut but I can't justify bringing my puppy somewhere that leaves me on hold and then hangs up the phone. read more

The staff at Fur Baby is EXCEPTIONAL. I moved here less than 6 months ago and I go out of town a lot.. I would trust my Cassie with NO ONE ELSE! They notice when I change her collar, put her on new food.. they know her as well as I do! They are always friendly and so dedicated to their jobs. These people are truly a blessing. Have had nothing but an amazing experience every time I take my dogs there. My dogs always look and smell so great after the groomer. I also add the dog park to the package and the dogs really love it. They come back very, very tired too! I have used three different groomers in Columbus and this is by far my favorite.
