He is easy-going, efficient. Everything was on time; he was so patient with me going back and forth on the exact diamond, and the process was exactly what I hoped for. So I must admit, I found The Diamond Guys by accident. The original jewelry store I was planning on had unexpectedly closed early, so I decided to look for any nearby Jewelers. The Diamond Guys was the closest one, so I gave it a shot. Best decision ever. I knew nothing about engagement rings prior to meeting Steve, the owner of the company. Steve is one of the nicest, most caring people I've ever met. He doesn't approach you as a salesmen, he approaches you as someone who's there to help you make the most of one of the biggest moments in your life. The thing I like most about Steve is that unlike other jewelers, Steve incorporates plenty of new age technology in his business. While deciding how I wanted to customize the ring I was going to give my fiancée, Steve created several 3d renderings of different styles that I wanted to choose from. I am soooo glad I found The Diamond Guys (thanks, Yelp!). I got engaged in February and I hardly wear my ring since It's too loose but I was too lazy to get it resized. I finally said not today satan, I'm getting this ring sized. I spoke with Steve and he asked all the right questions to be able to give me a quote. He made an appointment with me within the hour and was very helpful in letting me know how to get to his store. They have a great selection of rings, I fell in love with a radiant cut diamond he showed me! Anyway, Steve tested my ring to make sure it's legit and he was able to show me where the inscription on the diamond is located. He recommended I go .5 a size down since swelling occurs. He wasn't sales-y nor did he rush me, just a personable guy. He gave me a turnaround time of next day, maybe even day of. I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me a call around 6pm saying it was ready. Steve was nice enough to meet me downstairs so I won't pay for the meter. My ring is absolute perfection!!!!! Steve made sure it fit right and that I left a happy customer. I wish I knew about him sooner because I would have told my now fiancé to purchase a ring from him. This review is long overdue, I don't even know where to begin. Steve has been beyond wonderful and I can't recommend him highly enough. My then-fiancée and I started looking for engagement rings early in 2022 without a great deal of success. We first visited a fairly well-known online jeweler's physical location in LA but didn't love the rigid structure of the appointment (hard-capped at 45 minutes) and the prices were quite a bit higher than we were comfortable. We then tried a highly-rated jeweler in LA's Diamond District but had an even worse experience there when the jeweler we worked with simply ignored every request we made, showing us items that we had made explicit we were not interested in or could not afford. Overall, a couple of fairly disheartening experiences. During our next online search, we stumbled upon the Diamond Guys. They didn't have many reviews (though the few they had were extremely positive) but a quick scan through their online collection of loose diamonds looked promising (in terms of variety and price) so we decided to take a chance and scheduled an appointment. When we arrived, we met Steve, the store owner, who we immediately got a strongly positive vibe/impression from. He was warm and welcoming right away, carefully listening to my fiancée's preferences. After processing what she'd said, he made some suggestions on what to look for in a diamond and ways to cut costs/fit within our budget while still meeting all of her requirements. We were both blown away by the tips he was sharing with us (things we had not heard in our previous jeweler encounters or online research) and finally found the perfect diamond at an outstanding price. However, we soon realized that my fiancée's ideal setting wasn't something that the Diamond Guys carried, but Steve told us that we could design a custom ring that would meet her specifications. He then proceeded to work with us over the next couple of weeks to nail down a design and get it manufactured in a timely manner while also finalizing an unbelievable price that fit within our tight budget. Everything came out perfectly and my wife is absolutely in love with her ring. Since then, we've worked with Steve to get both of our wedding bands made and he's been a joy to work with. When we've had issues with manufacturing (not his fault at all), he's gone to bat for us to make sure we're completely satisfied with the final product. Steve is the absolute best. He's been nothing but kind and accommodating and understanding and attentive. He always treated us with respect and made us feel important even though we were working with a pretty small budget (which he was well aware of). Every interaction with him was positive and he went out of his way to take care of us. We had even discussed inviting him to our wedding (although logistics/timing kept that from being possible )! Neither of us is into jewelry in general, but we still plan to buy from Steve in the future, even if only to stay in contact with him and support his business. I bought an IGI certified lab diamond from overseas and wanted an independent jeweler to make sure what I got is exactly what I purchased and Steve was quick to get me in for an appointment to confirm the inscription # under their microscope. This was free of charge so I was really impressed with how much detail and information he gave me while inspecting it, weighing it and telling me the color he would rate it at and looking for inclusions too under the loupe. I took a look at all the rings he had available and he has a good selection of settings. I didn't look at his diamonds as I already bought one but he did tell me the price range and they are very fair, comparable to what one would find on rarecarat.com (cheapest online). Most retailers price far over online retailers because they have overhead costs so I was surprised at this. If I hadn't imported one already I would have been very interested in buying one through him; I went to a chain retailer a few weeks ago and their prices were about 3x (!!!) the price as what Steve quoted. His office was clean and he wore a mask which I appreciated. He also took out all the equipment to the desk in front of me so he was able to do the full appraisal while I watched without losing sight of my diamond at any point in time. Overall he has great customer service and provides his objective opinions. He wasn't pushy at all and I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, unlike my experience at the chain store. I originally called to get my fiancés engagement ring cleaned because it wasn't shining like it used too. I was hoping that it wasn't going to take long because I was on my lunch and needed to get back to work. I go into the suite and I'm blown away with the setup he has going on in a suite in an office building. I let Steve know that I'm on my lunch and need to go. Without skipping a beat the man takes down my information and lets me know I can come pick it up after I get off. I was a little hesitant to leave my fiancés engagement ring with someone I just met but he was very confident and reassuring me that there was nothing to worry about. I come back after work, mind you I'm late, and he's waiting there for me with a perfectly clean ring like I just bought a new one and he even stayed later then he was supposed mass to, to make sure I got my ring.
