OVER PROMISED UNDER DELIVERED My husband surprised me with a visit on June 4th, our 4-year wedding anniversary, to finally have my engagement ring and wedding band resized. Since my rings no longer fit comfortably, I was excited to finally wear them without struggling to put them on or take them off. During our visit, Manny was friendly and accommodating. He initially told us that resizing would take about an hour. While discussing the resizing process, my husband casually asked about upgrading the diamond. Manny spent considerable time showing us larger carat options and even suggested replacing the ring altogether. He explained that the process would be seamless and that we would receive 75% credit toward a new ring if we decided to upgrade. When I asked how long the upgrade would take, Manny quickly responded that the ring would be ready by Friday. Although I wasn't thrilled about being without my ring for over a week, my husband was excited about the upgrade, so we decided to move forward. Before leaving for lunch, we asked Manny to email us pricing and diamond options. He promptly sent the information, and my husband purchased the upgraded diamond while we were at lunch. Manny assured us that the diamond would be overnighted and that the process would move quickly. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. A full week passed without any communication or update. Friday came and went, and I never received the email or call I had been expecting to let me know my ring was ready. On June 15th, my husband called Manny for a status update and was told he would receive a call back. Feeling frustrated, I called Manny myself during my lunch break. He explained that the ring was still being worked on. When I asked why it was taking longer than promised, he stated that upgrading to a larger diamond requires replacing the prongs and added, "as I told you." Neither my husband nor I were informed of this during our initial consultation. Had this information been disclosed upfront, our expectations regarding the timeline would have been very different. Manny then told me the ring would be ready later that day. I offered to pick it up, but he immediately changed course and said it would actually be ready the following day. He assured me that he would process the shipping label that same day and send tracking information by the end of the day. That tracking information never arrived. My disappointment is not with the delay itself--custom jewelry work can take time. My frustration stems from the lack of communication, shifting timelines, and being told information that was either inaccurate or never communicated in the first place. What started as a special anniversary experience has unfortunately turned into a frustrating and stressful one. Manny and Louise made our Kobelli experience AMAZING. A year ago my other half bought a custom designed elongated cushion cut engagement ring with the help of Louise. He was reassured by actually talking to Louise and coordinating each detail to surprise me. We live in Hawaii so this was not a small feat. Hi all, I'm posting a follow up review to my previous experience. Louise and Eyal took amazing care of me after my soured experience. Not only did they expedite my order, they went above and beyond by adding extra intricacies to the wedding band and used higher quality stones than what I originally paid for. I opted for a really large center stone so we had to go back to the drawing board because the basket wouldn't have been strong enough for the thin band. We reinforced the base of the basket and seated the stone as low as possible. Louise gave me consistent updates throughout the revisions. Not only that, Eyal offered to assist with the male wedding band and female wedding band pricing and design after completion of the engagement ring. I was ecstatic when I saw the final product as it truly was perfect. They also offered cleaning and retightening of the prongs throughout the life of the ring which were nice add ons. We are now working on the male/female wedding bands. I am truly grateful for my experience. I will be doing business exclusively with Kobelli from here on out. My fiancé bought my engagement ring from Kobelli's online shop. We made a pit stop at Kobelli before going to Disneyland to get my ring examined and cleaned/polished, also to look at wedding bands! We had a little bit of trouble finding the place but when found it, we loved that the place is secured with a pinpad and security. My girlfriend and I wanted to pick out a Moissanite ring together, and we called Manny ahead of time to make sure he was there to help us out. (Please make sure to do this, because it's not a traditional storefront: you'll need some sort of appointment to access the store). We particularly loved Kobelli because, as a manufacturer, they allowed us to alter any of their designs (for a very small fee) and design the ring exactly how we wanted it. I'm not sure what the experience is at the actual store, but I do not recommend buying a ring online. I've had my ring for two years, and I've had nothing but issues. There was problems with the sizing, I had to send it back. It's very expensive to send the ring in for repairs or cleaning - it would've cost me $74 to insure it for the full amount. I sent the ring in for a repair and rhodium dip, one of the diamonds on the band had fallen out. I was told the ring was badly scratched and the diamond fell out because the prong was damaged. This was after two years of normal daily wear. I've never had this issue with any of my previous rings. Buyer beware. read more
