I asked what the service was and he said they replaced the battery, the gasket and put silicone sealant on it, I said I just wanted the battery done, and he said they use $15 Swiss batteries. Well, Renata 377 batteries are about $1.30/ ea. and it takes about 5 mins to pop the back, replace the battery, and put it back on. If I ever need a $480/ hour business I guess I know what to do now. naturally, I declined to ever do business with them. Further I will advise other not to do business with them as well.

I felt rushed and uncomfortable, even though I was clearly struggling to walk and needed assistance finding the right pair. Because I felt pressured and desperate for relief, I ended up purchasing a pair that did not turn out to be the best fit, even though they felt okay at first. About 30 minutes later, I returned because the shoes were hurting my feet. During the exchange, Aly appeared to have been on break and seemed annoyed to assist me. While I understand that everyone has difficult moments, there was no reason to make me feel like a burden. If she was unable to help at that time, it would have been more professional to ask another employee to assist me. I ultimately purchased a men's pair because I was told the women's version was not available. I spent $180 + tax. Thankfully, my toes are improving, and I hope to return to my regular women's size soon. However, due to this experience, I do not plan on returning to Ogden Running Company on Washington Blvd. Customer service has a significant impact, especially when a customer is in pain and genuinely needs help. No one should feel rushed or unwelcome when seeking assistance. It took me more than three months to feel comfortable enough to write this review.

For someone who is vulnerable, in a chair, and someone tells me they'd be happy to help, that's amazing and so kind.

First, let's start with the merch. At its heart is -- as stated on their business cards, "guns, gold, and diamonds." A lot of old-school, pricey rifles. Owner Scott Vanleeuwen is known far and wide for his collection of Browning-designed Winchester rifles. These are collectors items, and the lofty prices reflect that. As far as the gold and diamonds, I saw an abundance of rings, along with earrings, bracelets, and chains. Along the wall are several guitars, from acoustic to electric: Peavey, Ibanez, Martin, Dillion, Schecter, etc. At least for the ones I looked at, the prices are in line with what you'll find on eBay. Some really high-quality stuff too. For one, they have a few Breedlove Stage Series guitars ... top of the line, with dovetail neck joints, mahogany neck wood, and a 25.5-inch scale length. The Gif House's great advantage over eBay is you actually get to try 'em out before you buy. There's also a great mishmash: laptops, tablets, LED TVs, Apple products, cameras, Blu-ray players, tools (Bosch, Hilti, Makita, etc.); Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo game consoles and gears; coin collections, LED TVs, amplifiers, drums, mixers, snowboard and skiing gear, hunting equipment, taxidermied animals, paintball guns, CDs, DVDS, Blu-rays, Blu-ray players ... and that's naming just a few. And, yes, there's the "friendly" element. A group of locals are sitting ad chatting, you can pet and feed the shop's parakeet, or get a cup of coffee. But I certainly appreciated the technique Rene taught me in making the proper round bowl.
