Excellent customer service. They found parts to repair and tune up a pocket watch from 1939. Which I wasn't even sure was possible. The watch was repaired, cleaned up and calibrated. Don't use them for watch repair... don't make the same mistake I did. I left a watch with them before memorial day. it' now into July. nothing... they quoted me a price to fix it. just called me again needing to triple the cost of the repair and tell me it could take an additinoal 2 months. The initial cost they gave me was after they had opened up the watch an already inspected it. super frustrating experience- communication is garbage. i really don't think the repair center knows what's going on... i speculate they broke something when trying to fix it. read more

Sent in a non-running 218 Accutron. They cleaned it up, replaced some things, and got it running. The watch came back, with the back not properly seated; It's as if they used the wrong back gasket. Additionally, the watch is running really slow (Losses minutes a day). All-in-all, they did a really poor job. The paper work, estimates, receipts, etc., were done in a very opaque, unprofessional manner. All this for only $1900! Stay away from these crooks like the plague. read more

Repair and cleaning was excellent! The folks at Times Ticking kept me up to date with frequent emails regarding the sourcing of parts required to refurbish my 35+ year old Pulsar. This watch was purchased in Edmonton, CAN in 1987. With many years of ownership, it's become an heirloom of sorts. Clean, thin (unlike some of the clocks, ahem, people wear on their wrists today), water resistant; this model represented a simpler era of time keeping. Yep, I am well pleased, they fixed my watch, I don't know how it happened. I was changing the time you know spring forward and fall back, etc. etc. I was changing the time and I unscrewed the stem and when I pulled it a little bit the whole dang stem came right out of the watch, so I then, The whole process was easy and just it took longer than I would've thought it did and it was more expensive than I thought it was gonna be, but then I say to myself well do you want to send your nice watch, cost me like around eight $900 I forget exactly, but do you wanna send it into someplace that's gonna do a really cheap job, probably not, so they fixed it. UPDATE: the company has called me and was very kind. They offered to reund me my money as well as to find my original watch and try to repair it and send it back to me. I am very happy witht the customer service I have received and will update this review should it get better or worse This place is scrupulous 100%. I first sent my 1986 timex to them a year ago to have it fixed. It had the battery compartment corroded and they said they could fix that. I mailed it in from California after seeing all these wonderful reviews. I paid them over 300$. They sent me back a watch that did not have my original face or back on it. I called them up and they somehow just happened to still have all my old peices and told me they would take care of putting it all back with my original pieces and send it back to me. I tought this was was very odd but sent my watch back anyways after this happened. Wehnit came back it was ticking odd and In a short period of time the watch stopped working and the time could not be changed as that peice they replaced was defective inside. Then they asked me to send it back again. I had them note that last time they kept my original pieces and that this time I did not want any further issues with the stealing my watch from me. I checked on my watch for a minimum of 5 months all the while they kept telling me they had yet to source the pieces to repair their error. Everytime we talked I reminded them of what they did last time and made sure all my original pieces came back on my watch. Well low and behold my watch just came back today and it is not even my watch. Obviously they could not fix their error and opted to just buy a cheap timex watch face and replace it on my band. The difference is striking and the size is not even the same. I kept photos of my original watch when I had first sent it to them and for them to do this to me was absolutely horrifying!!! I mean the only thing I mailed them that was mine that they mailed me back was the band the watch was attached to. I would NEVER do business with this place EVER!!! The first five photos are MY watch and the last two are the watch they sent me back!! Unless you are in their store and wait for your item and watch it be repaired I would NEVER TRUST this place!!! This is the first of several Times Ticking (TT) reviews. As time passes, the rating may fluctuate. I provided TT with my vintage Gruen Curvex. Despite running in the past, it had stopped. Following a great sales pitch as well as what I considered an estimate based on work required I agreed to TT servicing. When it arrived, it worked however, the crown and minute hand seemed to now "click" when passing the hour hand. Perhaps touching? TT has agreed that I return it for another servicing try. My invoice is extremely disappointing when compared to other watch servicing companies in that it failed to break down the costs to include labor, what was cleaned, what was replaced and, if so, by what? OEM? NOS? Etc. As a collector this leaves me clueless as to what the internals consist of. MTF. read more

Customer service from this business is unsatisfactory. In late November, I dropped off four automatic watches for routine service at the Layton Hills store. I received an email estimate on December 16 - Omega Seamaster Professional 300 M ($815.05); Baume & Mercier Classima GMT ($512.60); Rolex GMT Master II ($815.05); and Concord C2 Chronograph, ETA 2894 A.2 Top Grade Movement ($1,070.30), for a total of $3,213. My hope was to save a few bucks versus AD service, but at the end not worth the headaches. After 10 weeks I retrieved the four watches and immediately spent more than a week testing them. The Omega and Baume & Mercier performed within manufacturer specfications. The Rolex, which ran 30 seconds/wk fast prior to service, was now running a full 60 seconds/wk fast. The Concord chronograph, originally running 45 seconds/wk slow, was now running 135 seconds/wk slow. Rather shocked by these results, I immediately returned these two watches to the store. Communications and reassurance were limited to "they are under warranty". Upon return, I provided a detailed narrative of my assessment of the issues. When I picked them up on April 24, now 150 days or so into the process, the clerk just emptied a paper pouch on the counter with no explanation or paperwork. I'm clueless as to what the problems were for the poor work. The clerk assured me someone from the shop would call to explain, but so far crickets. With limited testing, the two watches now seem to be performing no better than when I initially submitted them for service. Satisfactory, but certainly not impressive. Based on my experience, I have the following observations: 1. The customer service experience in its entirety, particularly involving high end items (a tad beyond replacing a Timex battery), was extremely poor. 2. Times Ticking would be well advised to institute a program focusing on customer service and client communication all through the process, from intake, to service and for return. In its current form, your process does not make the client feel valued. 3. When servicing a high end watch, a written report (or at a minimum service notes from the tech), explaining exactly what work was done, should be provided when an item is returned. 4. Were any parts replaced? If so, were they OEM or aftermarket parts? 5. For more than $3,000, I would expect to be treated as in a high end boutique store and the returned watches to be properly and professionally packaged (how about a nice Times Ticking cloth or silk pouch???), rather than having a paper pouch unceremoniously emptied onto the store counter. I don't think I'll be inclined to use Times Ticking for any other watches I own. Unless customer service is improved significantly, paying the premium for AD service is likely the best option. read more

I sent Times Ticking Watch Repair a very special and rare Kari Voutilainen after reading on their site that they handle this kind of high-end work, and the experience was an absolute nightmare. In my case, the interior of the watch came back looking absolutely destroyed, with scratched bridges, mangled screws, and overall workmanship that felt shockingly careless for such an important piece. It is very unfortunate that I have to change my review. My watch is now stopping periodically just as it was before spending hundreds to get it fixed. I was told new mechanical parts were stalled and I should be good for years. It has hardly been a month. Now I have to ship it back to them.
