This is it...a place where you will get a great breakfast,for a low cost. I had the western omelet it was the best I have ever had and the price was only $5.79 now that alone was a deal. My waitress Crystal was very sweet and told me how the new owners took over after remodeling in sept. 2012, now they are going to be adding a deck to the right side of the building for a great view of the Keene Airport so as you are enjoying a great meal you can also have a great view of the airplanes taking off and landing,kids of all ages love that,including me. Thought we'd try the new restaurant for a change. We were seated and served our water by a friendly waitress. But then Wow what a surprise! We were treated very rudely by the owner about my companion's very well-behaved Service Dog wearing his vest clearly indicating so. The restaurant owner was loud, confrontational, insulting and wouldn't come to the table to ask her questions, instead choosing to stay about 15 feet from our table. We chose to leave and as we did, she continued to insult us as we exited, in front of other customers. Owner is not aware of ADA laws. We actually went back with the printed federal rules regarding service animals. She yelled over my companion as she tried to hand her the sheets saying she was the owner and didn't need to learn anything and told us to never return to her restaurant. I'll never even want to return there with such rude, ignorant treatment. I felt so sad seeing what people with disabilities have to go through just to get through a day. My companion was very upset and it takes a lot of courage to not lose her temper or her dignity, even though her health is jeopardized by dealing with these kinds of people. It was humiliating really, to be yelled at like this in a public place. It's difficult enough to just walk into a place like this with a dog and feel normal. But the benefits outweigh the awkwardness, and you get used to it, until things like this happen. These dogs and their people that they are partnered with can make a big difference in their independence, for lots of health conditions, but people like this restaurant owner threaten that. My husband and I have lived in Swanzey for more than 11 years and we only made it to the Dinner Table today for New Year's Brunch. No one else around was even open for brunch and not only was this restaurant, they have a full bar so we could order Bloody Marys. My husband had the steak and cheese omelet, which was just right. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, which was decent and the blueberry pancakes were perfect. The atmosphere is clean, casual, comfortable and friendly - the staff is attentive. My Husband and I have eaten here several times. It is priced the same as everything in the Keene area for lunch, running about $15 - 20 for two. The food is very good. We've ordered several different things and are always pleased. The service is great and friendly and we would recommend to anyone. I've eaten here many times before. I love the food and waitresses here as they are very pleasant and nice to talk to. But my main problem with the place is the female owner. She is very snobby, rude doesn't care if she yells at the waitresses in front of her customers. Owner or not, you do not act like that in front of your customers. It's unprofessional. this place has awesome food at a very reasonable price! we have tried a lot of things on the menu and we have been completely satisfied with it all. thier shepards pie is killer, as is thier stuffed peppers. burgers are huge and very tastey the one young chef they have at night is very pleasant and helpful. most of the wait staff are great and very fast service. there are a couple of young waitresses that are not very attentive but 1 blonde girl who is somewhat snotty and rude. she doesnt refill your drinks or check if you need anything unless shes bringing your check. we truely recommend this place, just be careful not to get that one waitress. read more

This place is outstanding. We visited on Memorial Day and we were the only patrons in the restaurant. The service was outstanding and the food even better! My tuna sub came with homemade, hand cut french fries and my husband got a wonderful piece of fried haddock, with homemade mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Very happy with this meal. This was my first experience at this restaurant. The waitress was nice, but the owner was rude. The food was not that great. The spaghetti we had was hard and they said that was how they cooked it all the time. The owner didn't apologize and didn't do anything about it. The only good thing was the poor waitress that couldn't do anything about it. I am disappointed with the owner and should do better to the customers. The price we had was expensive for the terrible experience. I will not go back to this restaurant unless it is the only thing in town, which it isn't. Flew into KEEN today specifically because there is a restaurant very close to the airport. Was pleasantly pleased with both the quality and quantity of food at a reasonable price. The fries were especially good. My wife had the sweet potato fries and I had the regular fries with my whole belly clam roll and they were delicious. One hour and 15 minutes to be served after ordering. Then the owner came out and told us "You're getting french fries instead of home fries for breakfast". My omelet then showed up with french fries and I didn't even get my toast. The female owner gave us an attitude when we asked how much longer it would be after waiting 75 minutes for an omelet and french toast. The waitress apologized and said she would be paying for our breakfast which we refused to allow....it wasn't her fault. To say this place is absolutely horrible is an understatement! Or shall I say, horribly ran. We did have a wonderful and very friendly young waitress and she was very attentive. However, as she was taking our order, an older lady, who we later found out was the owner,started yelling at her from across the restaurant about another order! Our waitress proceeded to take our order with a smile and very professionally ignored her for the moment. The owner then marched over to our table and yelled at our waitress right in front of us about it! I was absolutely appalled and could not believe what I was seeing! Working in a restaurant before, I could not believe how incredibly unprofessionally rude this owner was to her employees and guests! I felt bad for our waitress so I decided to say something to the owner, I said "I can tell this young lady has been working very hard, and it's not professional of you to come over to our table and yell at her right in front of her guests, because I can tell you that because of this we will never be returning" Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut, but what I saw wasn't right. Well, she didn't like what I had to say very much so she snapped at me and told me that she's the owner and knows what she is doing so she can do whatever she pleases. She did not like us questioning her ways or telling her that wasn't very professional so she told me that if I knew what was good for me I would stop being so mouthy and then she told us to get out! I felt so bad for our waitress I tipped her even though we hadn't even received our meals, and then we left. I cannot believe this place even stays running with such a horrible owner, how does she even have happy guests? Where I used to work, our managers would bend over backwards to make sure our guests stayed happy no matter what was wrong, they always stayed very professional. She is a very unpleasant and rude old lady. I would suggest that no one go there. I do not know how the food is, as we were told to leave before we could try it, but I will never give someone business who is that incredibly rude and unprofessional to her employees and guests.
