Cute little place with reasonable prices and good food. Their specialty is flavored bacon. Food room a little while because it was busy but it was worth the wait. Good service.

Raw hamburger after a 55 minute wait

Wow. This was not a great experience. I had seen the reviews that sometimes it took a while to get your food, but since we weren't in a rush, we decided to try it. We ordered a BLT, a burger, a side of bacon, and a piece of banana cream pie for the three of us. Fifty-five minutes later, the burger came out raw instead of medium. I had reached out to the server five minutes before to see if she could check on our meals. There was absolutely no sense of urgency on her part. I've been a server before, and if anybody's meals were taking that long, I would be in the kitchen checking every couple of minutes as well as apologizing profusely for the delay. And while there had been a big party when we got there, they already had their food. By the time we finally got ours there were a few two tops and a few people sitting at the counter, so I'm not sure what the problem was. We weren't willing to wait any longer for them to cook a burger, so we said we would pay for our sodas and leave. The owner came out and apologized and comped the sodas and we were on our way.

My coworkers who were out in the field recently, had breakfast at Bacon Me Crazy in Hinsdale and had mixed opinions about this place. I will say the bacon and sausage gravy was highly recommended. Bacon Me Crazy serves traditional breakfast and lunch 5 days a week and just by the name, most of the food items served here have bacon. They offer flavored bacon here including cherrywood, maple, bourbon, sweet & spicy, honey chipotle, hickory brown sugar. The breakfast offerings here include egg dishes, omelettes, bacon & sausage gravy, pancakes, waffles, French toast, corned beef hash, home fries, bacon, and sausage. The lunch offerings include burgers & sandwiches served with chips or fries (add $1), chicken tenders, salads, soup/chowder, and bacon fried ice cream. They also serve coffee and Coke products. They also have a kids menu and the prices here seem pretty reasonable, most items under $10 with a few over $11.99-$12.99 (corned beef & hash and steak & eggs). I decided to make a trek to Hinsdale to try this place out for lunch takeout, which is located on Main Street next door to the local police station. This place used to be Smitty's Pizza, which I actually visited a few years ago. I ordered a Monte Cristo with Fries ($8.99) and Bacon Fried Ice Cream ($2.99), which was ready and packed to go in about 15 minutes after ordering. The place was quite busy with most tables in the dining area occupied and the stools at the lunch counter all freed up. I enjoyed the Bacon Fried Ice Cream first, which was vanilla ice cream surrounded with a fried crunchy coating with bacon bits in the mix and topped with chocolate sauce. Next the Monte Cristo was comprised of ham, turkey, bacon, melted Swiss cheese, house sauce in between 2 soft slices of egg coated French toast. However. the good amount of golden fries were on the soft side and oily, not crispy, which indicates the fryer oil was not hot enough or the fries were not deep fried long enough. I ate a few fries, but I will reheat at home in my broiler to make the fries hot and crispy. In all, the food tasted good and the service was prompt in getting my order and food ready.

Service and cleanliness just isn't acceptable. It's a novel concept but it's just painful.

The beignets were the star of the show!! Plus the burgers are great too Service: 5/5 spot on and extremely efficient. To the point where we noticed that there's not one slacker on the staff, they work together and meet the needs of every customer. Exceptional! Vibe: 5/5 we love a good bar food, low frills place. It's homey and fun without being over the top. Overall would come back every time we're in Brattleboro

The space itself is small, so I'd definitely suggest calling ahead to see if they have room. There's basically no indoor waiting area, and standing by the door or outside in the winter, like we did, got uncomfortable enough that we almost left for another place, even though the wait was only about 20 minutes. Our server was friendly and tried to stay on top of things, but you could tell she was a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was and the constant flow of people coming through the door. In our group, a couple of the burgers came out very undercooked, with blood pooling on the plate. No one had been asked how they wanted their burger cooked and it wasn't mentioned when we ordered, so it was an unpleasant surprise even if it wasn't exactly anyone's "fault." I ordered the spicy Korean fried chicken sandwich, which ended up being just okay. The bottom of the bun was soggy, so it fell apart and was hard to pick up and eat. The kimchi on the sandwich didn't bring much flavor or heat, so it kind of missed the mark for something that's supposed to be a bold, spicy option.

This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

They serve up breakfast sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, subs, chicken fingers, chili, fries, onion rings, and cold drinks. The prices here seem pretty reasonable. There's also several picnic tables nearby. I stopped by the Route 78 Grill for lunch recently. The place was fairly busy for Friday lunch. I placed my order for a Chili Cheese Dog ($3), Steak & Cheese Sub with topping choices ($7.50) and Large Onion Rings ($4.50). The lady used an old school calculator to total up the order and I was charged $23, which seemed pretty high. However, the lady corrected it and the total was now $15, which seemed more reasonable. My order was prepared to order called in under 10 minutes. The chili cheese dog was lightly grilled topped with a homemade meat & bean chili and orange cheese sauce on a soft hot dog bun. The steak & cheese sub had grilled shaved steak, sauteed peppers, onions, & mushrooms, melted American cheese, mayo on a soft hoagie roll. The breaded onion rings were nice and crunchy on the outside. Overall, the food here was pretty good drive-in style fare, greasy and tasty. They should really also have the napkins and condiments out on the counter next to the pickup window.

Food- 4/5 Overall experience- 5/5…read more It was a fun spot to stop at to break up our drive back to Boston. The lot was small but many people were coming in and out so we didn't have to wait long to get a parking spot or outdoor seating. There are two shops: the deli and market with different vibes and items inside. The market is a quick shop with some snacks, drinks, coffee, and knickknacks. The deli is where the hot/cooked foods are at with some other specialty foods. The food was overall ok, nothing noteworthy. The main attraction is their Mac and cheese that had been circulating my IG feed. Don't think it's life changing but the shops have curated selections of local goods that are reasonable priced to get some last minute treats. Pass on the general tso(?) and the potstickers in my opinion unless you're really craving it. The desserts looked amazing and would definitely get one next time

We were able to get a spot in front with no issue, but I imagine that this was because it was a week day. We chose the Mac and cheese and the maple pulled pork. Both were worth the hype in my opinion. The mac and cheese was super creamy and paired well with the tender pulled pork. The baked goods were nothing to write home about. Maybe we just chose the wrong items? We tried: Oatmeal cookie - good, but not amazing. Chocolate chunk/ peanut butter cookie - stale as heck and basically inedible. I always am leery of saran wrapped cookies that are out on display because its impossible to know if there are actually fresh. The giant stacks of cookies were too enticing to pass up on. The chocolate cookie we purchased was definitely not fresh at all. $3.29 down the tubes - lesson on saran wrapped cookies learned (again). Carrot cake whoopie pie and original whoopie pie - both tasty, but the cake was too thick for my personal liking. We sat in the small outdoor seating area to eat. This was a nice little reprieve from the car ride.
