This high tea establishment is just so cute! I love everything about it and I'm so happy that we have a place in the city to have high tea! Reservations are required but from the finger sandwiches to the assorted tea options, it's just so cutesy! The fine china, the decor, the staff, everything is just above and beyond! I definitely think the prices are reasonable considering you're going for the experience. Parking is a hit or miss. Okay now that I'm done gushing, I will say that I definitely appreciate this spot having non-caffeinated options for those with sensitivities. The have about 20 flavored tea options and you do have the option of making them "dirty." My favorite sandwich they have is definitely that walnut chicken salad with the cranberries. Chefs kiss. First class experience in a room beautifully decorated. You're transported to a time where afternoon tea was a treat as soon as you walk in the door. There were so many tea options that it's hard to pick just two but we went with the Apple spice tea and white peach tea. I loved the white peach tea. It was my favorite between the two. One of my usual concerns with afternoon tea is whether there will be enough variety (and quantity!) for everyone. That definitely wasn't an issue here. I've been going to high tea since childhood so I have a certain expectation for food and service when going to tea. My coworkers and I have been to other places for tea and wanted to try this place since we heard it's Black-owned. Simply put, this place is fabulous! It's located in the Virginia Highlands section of Atlanta. There is ample street parking in front of the restaurant, however, trying to pay for parking isn't the easiest task. There is signage to guide you to a website for parking but the website has a page of other parking websites, for which you can pay. This is pretty confusing. Also, it's not clear what the "parking zone" is so I actually went into another surrounding establishment to ask. This is the only negative thing I have to say about my experience here. We made reservations (strongly recommended) and had to put down a $25 non-refundable deposit, per person. That said, DO NOT make reservations unless you absolutely know you can make it or you don't care about losing your deposit. Also, it's $95/pp (your deposit is applied to your grand total) and 20% gratuity is automatically added to your final bill. They don't have an issue with splitting checks either, so keep that in mind. In any event, we showed up for our reservation and were greeted promptly by Brandon, who was a great waiter for the duration of our time here. The decor in the restaurant is lovely and everything is basically set-up to for photo opps! Once seated, we were told that we get two pots of tea for the entire table along with a food tray and dessert tray. They had cucumber sandwiches, smoked salmon toast and chicken salad sandwiches, which were adorned with The Dirty Tea logo, as well as other random logos (like the Avengers LOL). Everything was delicious. Our dessert tray had scones, macarons, tiramisu, raspberry cheesecake, some DIVINE chocolate mousse pastry and other sweets. Brandon was a very personable server and host for our party of 4! Gosh, it is SO cute in there. It's a cozy space that is truly made for a posh afternoon experience with your girlfriends (or guys who also enjoy a luxe pink dining room). The small bites are cute and standard for a tea tower. We had a good experience at Dirty Tea. We were a very large group of 12 people and Dirty Tea was able to accommodate us (on two tables) with a reservation (and a deposit). Process to book was rather seamless. Our party got there on time - they do have valet but most of us found street parking pretty easy! It took some time to get seated but they had a small area to wait (not big enough for our group as many people who were done with their experience were taking pictures there). However we did make use of the space to take some pictures too. Once seated, I was impressed by the attention to detail on every table from the plates to teacups to the table cloth. Each table was unique. I must say with all the things on the table, it felt a bit overcrowded. We ordered our teas - some boozy some not (ask your sever as most teas can be made boozy but pick your liquor appropriately). We didn't get a choice for the snacks but it was definitely plentiful - sandwiches to scones and macarons. They were nice to accommodate a few in our group and get some vegetarian cheese sandwiches too. The teas were great and the munchies were good... The table was crowded with food and tea - that's probably my only gripe (small table for the size of our group) but I had a blast. The server we had messed up our check and it took the over a while to refund us for the incorrect charges. But overall this was a fun high tea experience. Price of $90 pp was a bit steep in my opinion especially considering they limit you to two tea choices per table- a bit of a hindrance if you have a large party and people like different teas AND were each paying $90 so everyone should be able to choose their own tea flavor. I took my daughter to The Dirty Tea Atlanta for her 14th birthday, and it was absolutely magical! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was stunning -- modern, elegant, and full of charm. When I booked the reservation, I mentioned we were flying in from Florida, and the staff truly made the trip worth every penny. The host was an absolute gentleman -- professional, kind, and attentive. He got everything right! Toward the end, I believe the owner stopped by, and she was so sweet and welcoming. You can tell this place is run with genuine love and care. My daughter was in total awe -- she felt like a princess the entire time. Even though I had to switch up my outfit last minute (I cut my foot the night before and needed stitches ), the experience completely made me forget about it. What an experience. I sent my girlfriend a post on instagram and we decided to just go by to check out the space. We were immediately greeted by one of the owners and two staff members. The owner allowed us to tour the space and gave us the full story of how they designed the interior from scratch. It's truly a beautiful layout. After talking to the owner we ordered some tea at the bar. The staff were super fast and friendly. They didn't hesitate to walk us through the menu and explain their tea service. There was space at the bar to do some work so we took advantage (WiFi was fast!). The tea came out on platters with sugar cubes and honey on the side. They also bring out a minute glass with each tea to let you know how long the tea has to steep. After it steeped I added a single cube and wow, thoroughly impressed. This place is a gem. I can't wait to bring family to enjoy their Afternoon Tea Tower. If you're looking for great service, a beautiful location and good tea, this is the place to be. read more

I am a person that frequents high tea often , I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons. For one it was $95 plus tax and gratuity. For that price I would have thought everyone would get their own pot of tea and enough scones/pastries for everyone. We had to share scones and pastries amongst the 6 of us and got 3 pots of tea instead of us each getting individual tea pots. It also would've been nice to hear music. All in all it was a good experience just overpriced a bit. I do like that I had a birthday cake and they cut for me and served to us that was a plus. read more

This was my first time at a tea experience, so I invited a friend who's familiar with high tea. The space is gorgeous, especially now as everything is dressed for the holiday season - from the tree in the corner to the poinsettia cups and and candy striped teapots. I was especially endeared by the sugar cubes, which were shaped like trees and gingerbread men. With the cushy, pastel-colored cushions and a brightly lit backdrop, The Dirty Tea is an Instagrammer's dreamscape. Service, too, is friendly and cheerful. Everyone from our server to the owners were warm and welcoming from start to finish. You're even offered a complimentary glass of champagne upon being seated. Toward the end, when my friend and I took a brief moment to sit by the front sofa, one of the owners offered to take a photo for us, with painstaking effort taken to pose us and move the cushions to the most picturesque spot. It made us feel special, and wouldn't you know it, they were indeed some of the best photos someone's taken of me in a long time. With all that, I'm afraid both of us left feeling a tad underwhelmed. The platter of sweets and savories seemed teeming with deliciousness upon arrival, but nothing seemed overly impressive upon closer glance. There were a few triangled sandwiches - cucumber, chicken salad, and turkey with cranberry, with the latter served on a bun that tasted slightly stale and too thick to appreciate the innards. The top tier contained varied sweets - scones, a chocolate pastry, cookies, crackers, and a few Ferrero Rocher chocolates. This fared slightly better, but for a whopping base charge of $95 per person (plus tax, an automatic 20% tip, and an invitation to add more gratuity at the end), one would really expect more. We were also surprised to find that our choice of sparkling water had added yet another extra charge (a slight misunderstanding, since it was offered to us after we turned down the complimentary champagne). It ached me to rate our afternoon tea experience as three stars, especially because everyone we met was incredibly nice. It's also clear the owners care about their customers and take the time to stop by each table. If you're coming in for a special occasion, especially one with lots of hopeful photo ops, I think Dirty Tea is well worth checking out. But from a sheer value proposition, the cover charge felt quite steep compared to the experience. read more

If you're a lover of super girly meets classy, go to Dirty Tea. I visited on a Friday afternoon at 12, and it was pretty empty. I could not stop smiling at all of the pink! It was so beautiful inside and the tea sets flow beautifully with the inside decor. There are so many cute spots for photos at the tea wall or the Dirty Tea sign or at your table. For $95 per person, you each get a pot of tea and a shared tower of desserts and sandwiches. They do highlight the non caffeinated teas. My favorite desserts were the macarons and the scones. I had the white Georgia peach tea which was lovely. If you looking for something fun to do with friends or even for Galentines, I would highly recommend the Dirty Tea. The interior is absolutely beautiful--they had it decorated for Christmas and it felt very festive. We all love going out to tea and have been everywhere from Dr. Bombays to Swan Coach House to Zen tea and at least a dozen more including special holiday teas. I was happy to have an establishment open in Va.-Highlands so we could do some leisurely shopping afterwards. Wish I could give this place more stars, but the overall experience was just "ok." Factor in the steep price p.p. and it drops another star. The sandwiches weren't anything special. Seemed like regular loaf bread with minimal fillings. The desserts were better, a few quite good. I had heard they buy many of their desserts from Alon's down the street. No idea if this is/was true. The atmosphere was ok, heavy on the fake flowers and "cutesy" decor. There is street parking so plan to arrive early so as not to miss your reservation time. I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience with Dirty Tea today was frustrating enough to warrant one. I had a reservation canceled last-minute by the restaurant -- no explanation, no advance notice. While the refund was eventually issued, what followed was even more disappointing. When I called to inquire, the staff member I spoke to was not only unhelpful but blatantly unprofessional and insisted that they tried to notify me in advance, when they had not. After a curt exchange, she hung up on me -- three separate times. It didn't feel like a dropped call or a bad connection; it felt intentional, like she simply didn't want to deal with a customer questioning her actions. When I called back a fourth time, she said as much before disconnecting the call again.​ Mistakes happen, I get that. But the way a business handles those mistakes matters just as much -- if not more -- than the mistake itself. Dirty Tea showed no accountability, no courtesy, and no sense of customer service. Needless to say, I won't be booking with them ever again and I'd advise others to think twice before trusting this place with your plans. A refund is the bare minimum. The Dirty Tea offers a full service modern afternoon tea experience which steeps into a tacky time. The interior of The Dirty Tea embodies the pastel color pink. The inside is decorated with pink roses and pink chairs and even smells of the color pink. The tea experience starts at $95 a person and lasts for about an hour and a half. Each table is decorated with its own unique china tea set theme. My table featured a purple china tea set. A reservation includes complementary champaign, two tea types and a tower of pastries and sandwiches. The tea menu featured roughly ten or so types of tea-the online menu boasts that the teas are exotic loose leaf. Our server casually explained the flavor profile of the teas; but did not get into the details of how the tea was sourced or what exactly made the tea exotic. We ordered the white peach tea and the herbal passion hibiscus. The tea kettle is kept warm over a small candle and is accompanied with an hourglass that will alert the thirsty patron when the tea has reached optimal steeping time. The patron must pour their own tea. The Dirty Tea also features a bar with a drink menu of refreshing patio type drinks. We ordered a lemon drop mojito and a classic lemon drop. The lemon drop was served in a large coup with sugar rim dyed red. The drinks are all about $16. The sandwiches featured both cucumber and chicken salad on white bread along with an open faced lox sandwich. The pastries selection was varied and sweet. Overall, the sandwich and pastry tower was large, fulfilling, and generic. I suspect the pastries were store bought. The Dirty Tea experience was fun but waned from authenticity as time progressed. The Dirty Tea juxtaposes a formal tea experience with loud music and word play. For example, the drink menu offers "expresso martinis" and "champayne." I understand that the Dirty Tea wants its customers to have a fun, playful experience. However, $95 a person is not play money. As I looked down onto my chicken salad sandwich that was embroidered with a paprika Louis Vuitton logo, I felt unimpressed-almost offended- by the imagery of luxury. With the high price, customers deserve to look at menu with real (formal?) spelling to cap off a luxury/ (formal) experience. After all, an afternoon tea time should be a luxurious experience, if only for a few hours, and not an extension of a luxurious time to be desired. read more

A friend wanted a Bridgerton style birthday so I did a search for tea rooms in Atlanta and found this gem. Everything was perfect. The decor was amazing and the tea and sandwich service was so good. A 1.5 hour experience passed so quickly since we were having fun. The staff is so good. We spoke to the owner after the tea service and she was amazing. She asked for feedback and ways to improve. She really cared about everything! This is a family run establishment and everyone right down to the valet parking our vehicle was polite, enthusiastic and professional. For our weekend recharge we fell down this lovely newly opened rabbit hole called The Dirty Tea. It is set off of a busy mainstreet but it was fairly easy to access for parking. We were greeted outside and also immediately upon entering as well and seated rather quickly for our 4pm reservation. When walking in your senses are immediately drawn to the carefully detailed aesthetic and warm greetings from both owners who are very much involved with customer service and graces each table to ensure a pleasant experience. The dessert tower was a delight and housed a delectable wonderland of fresh pastries, cookies, cupcakes and etc. that was both pleasing to the eye and palate. I brought my mother here for a Mother's Day gift. We made a reservation for 5:00 and we're not sat until 5:25. Our water did not arrive until 5:40. We were a bit wary with the beginning of our experience. With that said, the food and tea were wonderful. The ambiance was beautiful and we enjoyed everything once it came. A 20% gratuity charge was automatically added and our server said an additional tip would go to the server while the 20% already charged went to "the team". This made us feel a bit uncomfortable when we had already been charged the 20% and had to wait 40 minutes before getting a drink. All in all it was a good experience. Simply delightful! Each table is different and set with exacting charm. The food was amazing. The teas were both traditional (Earl Gray) and unique (Black Creme Brûlée). The Strawberry Mascarpone sweet croissant was melt in your mouth divine. The chicken salad was amazing, not overly mayo'ed yet perfectly creamy and savory.
