I had a very disappointing & upsetting experience with this venue and would not recommend it. One of the biggest issues was the complete lack of transparency regarding their cancellation and refund policies. At no point during booking were we clearly informed that our deposit--or any portion of our payment--would be non-refundable under certain circumstances. Unfortunately, when we had to cancel, they kept $750 without any prior warning or explanation that this would happen. To make matters worse, communication became nearly impossible afterward. We lost contact with the owners entirely, and our attempts to reach out for clarification or resolution were ignored. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and frustrating. Clear policies and reliable communication are basic expectations when working with any business, especially for something as important as a venue. I strongly suggest others proceed with caution and get everything in writing before committing. It was evident that the owners were only interested in scamming us out of our money. read more

One of our go to spots when we just want to get out and be somewhere in Texas Hill Country. They have a rotating lineup of trucks and musical acts to enjoy. They have a wide open space with different seating sections for you to try. All dining is outside with a bar and ice cream shop indoors. My kids love chasing the chickens and playing with the goats on the property. They do not have a playground, but the kids do have a good time just running around the farm like area. It's just a beautiful place to be when you want to grab some grow outdoors and enjoy a little bit of scenery. We checked out The Divide today. It's a new foodtruck park on Babcock near Scenic Loop. Very spacious and featured @garciabarbecue @poundit_foodtruck @aychihuahuatacos and @maldonadosgrill. We decided to have some Greek food from @maldonadosgrill - hummus, chicken gyro and gyro salad with chicken. It was all tasty! We ordered from @garciabarbecue for food to go - 3 piece sliders (brisket, pulled pork and sausage), potato salad, chicken leg quarters and beans. Looking forward to try the food. I'm pretty sure you all knew this was coming. This is a beautiful place, but you all were completely wasted last night (the female owner and her boyfriend bartender). The restrooms were absolutely disgusting (pics below). I am completely disappointed in how we were treated at the bar and the subpar customer service. We ordered two shots of house tequila (el jimador)they were chilled w/ salt and lime (as they should be), then ordered four more for the birthday girl. In all my almost 40 years I've never had someone add extra liquids to our SHOTS without telling us! That's like people ordering a shot of Jameson and you "adding" coke or other liquids to it. I simply asked WHY ARE THEY YELLOW the tipsy owner said "oh I just added a little agave and lime juice them". This was after SHE CONFIRMED "4 of the same house tequilas?" After I told them I didn't not request shots of margaritas they were completely offended and rude to us the rest of the night. Caught them gossiping about us and our ethnic/ multicultural group. I ordered another shot to see them make it myself I was given a tequila no salt no lime but tajin floating in it. This was them holding a grudge I suppose. I didn't make a scene and was kind to them the entire time. The snarky remarks and stare downs after I told them about their poor attempt to stretch the tequila was very unprofessional. This place is far from everything and seemingly not for people of my skin tone so it all makes sense. I wasn't the only one that was shocked at them being completely drunk at 8pm, several people noticed it. I was kind to them and went to close our tab so we could go to a better ALL INCLUSIVE bar, they added extra shots to my tab instead of righting their wrongs like any reputable place would do. I wouldn't trust them with a debit card and hope they get it together. Maybe this place is better when the other owner is there, idk and will never find out because of this horrible experience. Recently attended my high school reunion here. Never heard of the divide. Researched online and looked pretty interesting. Although blink and you will miss it. Kind of hidden. The parking is terrible. Small and no real lighting. No real sense of security. Bellied up to the bar and asked for a Miller Lite. Bartender open a beer for me and handed it to me and it was warm. Now seriously. What kind of bartender hands out a warm beer. Got a beer on tap and the beer was cold. Wife just wanted a water, again warm. Geez. Someone needs to get to work earlier and get things on ice and ready to serve cold "beverages." Bathrooms were less than clean. Good variety of foods trucks. Property is really nice, just need attention to detail from the staff. I see no real reason to go back. read more

This place is a lot of fun! The bar has a great selection of beer, wine & mixed drinks, the food trucks have good selections and the atmosphere is fun. When we came here, there was live music and it wasn't too loud (yeah, I'm old and prefer not to shout to my friends these days). The performers were good as well and they played music which appealed to a crowd of all ages. The only "problem" people may encounter is parking. It can get crowded and getting in and out of the parking space can be a little tricky. read more

Great establishment! This place has a variety of food and ownership ensures all patrons are satisfied if something is missing. Lots of space for the kids to play and large groups. Extremely slow bar service, poor food quality, drunk owner. We waited 20 minutes to be served at the bar and there were literally 3 other people in front of us. This is primarily a beer bar. They aren't mixing fancy cocktails. We waited and watched the staff flirt and chat it up with patrons while ignoring the line waiting to order. My husband got food poisoning from the food truck. The owner was belligerent when speaking to kids playing and we heard him cursing at them. This establishment could be something great but they fall very short of that sadly. Came here once with friends (with our kids) and it was great. Chris Lopez was performing live that day and he was awesome, as always (we've seen him at other places, too). We had a chance to meet the owner and she *seemed* really nice. We were really enjoying this place, especially because it was the halfway point between us and most of our friends in Boerne. I was looking forward to many more outings here and even possibly booking events. So we met here again on a Sunday (yesterday) and there was hardly anyone there. Maybe a few other cars. It was great because we had several families join us and had lots of kids with us between all our families so not having the crowds was nice and chill. The kids were super excited. They had found a place with wood and a mallet and were using their imaginations to "build" something. They had a lot of fun with the chickens, too. Well, apparently, the owner woke up on the wrong side of the bed because she took it out on all our kids. We could clearly see she was really upset with them because they were in the coop area with the chickens and because they had a mallet (which, by the way, was on their property). Most of us all have chickens and chickens are pretty hardy. My kids hold them all the time. Newsflash, they won't get hurt from kids holding them or even chasing them. She also kicked them off the stage for whatever reason. She was a total buzzkill, to be honest. I would've really appreciated it if she decided to talk to US instead of our kids, but she went straight to the children. All the kids were super scared of her and said she was mean and that she called them "naughty." I'm sorry, don't advertise your place as "child friendly" and flip out on our kids for enjoying the things you have out on your property. Don't want them playing with wood you have lying around? Or a mallet? How about you clean it up then? Worried about metal? Again, clean it up. You cannot have it be "child friendly" and basically forbid the kids from everything fun that you left lying out. My friends (who had never been there before) were pretty turned off by her. The male owner (from what I understand, the woman's ex) was way nicer than her. The kids said he was very nice. I'm not sure we'll be coming back. There are so many other TRUE Texas family-friendly places without grumpy owners. Wouldn't recommend after yesterday's experience. Horrible parking. Little to none to be exact. I expected more from a food truck park compared to the others in the San Antonio Area. No lighting. They didn't offer fans on the outside to keep us cool in the hot weather. I was disappointed with the play area as it's only a chicken coop play pen. Really great place. We go there sometimes and it's always great. They have a variety of food trucks and goats and sometimes even live music every once in a while. There's even a playground for the kids with some sort of utility vehicle thing that I guess was not being used anymore so they moved it into this place? Btw I'm a kid so this is coming from my point of view. Also I have one more thing to add. This place serves fresh Blue Bell Ice Cream, and one of their flavors is called Krazy Kolors. My only complain is the beer was hot but did seem it had been really busy and couldn't keep it cold fast enough and walking to car because of parking is or can be a little dangerous at night. We had my husbands 40th birthday party at the divide!!! It was great!! There were other events going on, but the organization of them was done so well that there was no crowding!!! We all had our own area and it still truly felt private!! We agreed before an event we had that finger foods are allowed and TWO days after my event she texted saying she doesn't allow finger foods and wanted $100. This is long, but please read: I'm a full time musician & played a show at The Divide on Friday, August 6th, 7-10pm & they did not pay me the amount we agreed to. We had verbally agreed to $150 (with the possibility of more based on their sales), & then through text message they knocked that down to $100. For reference, I usually get a guarantee of $150-$250 in the SA area for weekend shows. I should have seen that as a sign of the dishonesty to come, but the show was coming up, the venue was recommended through a friend, & honestly, I'll play a weekend show for $100, if the tips & merch sales are good. And the show was good! I made over $200 in tips & merch sales, which isn't uncommon, but above average. In addition to what I assume is their regular crowd, my friend that recommended the venue reserved seating (for a $50 charge by The Divide) & brought her whole family (roughly 20 people). Plus I had around ten of my other regulars show up, as well. After I played, I went to the bar for payment. Rather than paying me on the spot, she asked that I send her my Venmo info. I got a weird vibe from that conversation, but while uncommon, some venues do send payment electronically & I thought that maybe it was for her to calculate their sales, since she had twice mentioned the possibility of extra pay if they had a good night. I followed up on Sunday by text message, when I didn't receive payment. I didn't receive a response to that text, but received a Venmo payment for $60 on Monday, August 9th. When I saw the payment, I sent a text reminding her that we had agreed to $100, with a picture of the text from her confirming that amount. I was told that she would send the rest, but would not pay that amount going forward. She stated "That's why we offer drinks and food to our performers." Okay, let's set aside the fact that literally every other venue does that (not to mention I only had three beers & no food), & just focus on the fact that you didn't pay the amount we agreed to. To date, I still have not received the rest of that payment. Yes, I did absolutely let her have it over this. If your job only payed you 60% of your paycheck, & when you asked why, their answer was because they have coffee & donuts in the break room, how would you react? While $40 isn't going to make or break me, I feel that it's important to speak out about this situation. It's literally stealing & predatory to do that to performers. read more
