I came here for Barbie themed karaoke night. It was a blast and lots of people were dressed up. The female bartender working made really good drinks and she was really nice! My favorite drink of the night was the "blue peacock" which is one of their signature cocktails. It tasted like blueberries!

We went looking for a new place to try in Boerne and SD just looked like a cool spot to roll to. We walked in and found a couple of seats at the end of the bar and the bartender Bryan greeted us with a menu and asked if we knew what we wanted already or needed a minute. My husband go a double of Eagle Rare and I ordered the Chacmul. We watched him take the time to meticulously create the drink and it made us even more excited to try it. Smoked bourbon in the bottle, then smoked again upon serving it and he pulls the napkin away and you watch the smoke fade out of the glass. Definitely a great spin on the Old Fashion. And well I had 2 of them lol

Great Bloody Mary... I didn't even have to call in her 3 times. Recommend red lipstick for the venue. It is a party vibe my beastly friends.

Found this little cute bar in Boerne...love the castle by the fireplace and the swings! The drinks were just ok...nothing memorable, but the ambiance was amazing!

After moving to Boerne we quickly figured out that places aren't opened past 10pm, so we were so happy to find Dobbs was open just a tad later. But aside from the hours of operation, we fell in love with this place because of the people! The bartenders are amazing, the patrons are great, the live music is always on point, and the selection of beers and liquor keep us interested! The patio is big and has a fun swing table as well. Also! Fun fact they have a hidden private room you can rent for the night! Big chandelier and speakeasy feel! Ask about it - it's well worth the look! Highly recommend for a fun evening out on the town!

New addition to Boerne River Road. I found this new bar that opened three week's ago. They have live music every Friday and Saturday nights. They also have a very clean environment and friendly bar staff. The design resembles a speak easy from the prohibition times. This is reflected by the large metal rustic speak-Easy door at the front. Ask about the secret party room behind the book case. Bar also includes dart board and pool table. The bar stretches along three large rooms and has a swing set bar area for adults outside with a River View. If Swings aren't your thing, scoot over a couple of feet to the outside couch sitting area where there is a sand castle fire pit area and ample fire towers around the sitting areas. Check this place out before it gets too crowded. New cool bar!!!!

Great spot in Boerne. Live music really ruins the ambiance. Boerne could do well with more spots like Dobbs.

Super fun. Right off the river. Bartender was friendly and drinks were cheap! There are some fun swings on the patio!

We went wandering around Boerne and always park in the lot next to Botero. We always say, "we…read moreshould go there." Well, we finally decided to try it out, and we're glad we did! I love the industrial vibe of the place. It was a rainy Saturday and the place wasn't particularly busy, so the service was good! Our server was friendly and knowledgable about the menu, and the food, while small in portion size (they are tapas, after all) was delicious. We started with the tostadas de chorizo and the house sangria. Both were super tasty. Then we ordered the chistorra (Spanish sausage) and pan con tomate, and finally we shared the albondiga...a giant meatball that was perfection. Can't wait to go back to Boerne and have some more Spanish goodness!

Our friendly young male server suggested a new Portuguese beer that just came out. It comes in a 4-pack, 6.8 oz bottles with convenient pull-tabs & on a bucket of ice. We went for it! Not bitter, light bodied & easy to drink. We savored the ambiance in the outdoor patio as it FINALLY cooled down to the low 70s! We were given water in a carafe and 2 glasses. I'm sensitive to the taste of municipal tap water so I should've asked if it was filtered water? You'll have to ask for ice cubes if you want ice. Our tapas were the scallops ceviche tostadas(2 tortillas holding them) & a flatbread with Serrano jamon, sliced pears, melted brie, onions & drizzled balsamic glaze. Hubs liked it but I thought it was lukewarm & skimpy on the ham. The cheese wasn't gooey & cooled off. Was slightly gamey to me. He loved his scallop ceviche tostada. The restaurant wasn't very occupied but our server said it gets pretty packed in the evening esp. when there's live music. More people came in when we were almost finished eating. We ate outside because they must have just disinfected & mopped the floors because the inside had a super strong chemical smell. Lots of metal tables and chairs in the patio.

Very nice. Our waitress was friendly, and our starter of mozzarella sticks and marinara arrived quickly. I thought they were good, but my wife thought they were excellent. My rating would be 3.5 stars out of 5, my wife gives it 5 out of 5. Staffing seemed very impressive, with more than adequate staff and all seemed friendly. I ordered the pollo alla griglia and my wife ordered the veal parmigiana. For my order, with the vegetables, I would rate it 5 out of 5! Vegetables and the seasoning was amazing! The chicken was excellent, and the lemon butter sauce was incredible! Definitely would order this again! My wife rated her food 4.5 out of 5. She found the veal to be a little salty. Overall, an excellent experience and I would highly recommend dining here.

The ambience might not be Old World Italian with a Chianti bottle candle holder on your table, but…read morethe food certainly is. In fact there are two shining stars of Luciano's, food and service. A basket of fresh, hot and soft bread rolls hits the the table almost as soon as we sat down. We had the fried Calamari appetizer for the two of us and it was enough to be a meal by itself. Don't let the underwhelming descriptions on the menu fool you, the Shrimp Luciano comes with 6 super-sized shrimp that are beautiful and lightly encrusted on top of perfectly prepared buttery spaghetti. In order to keep the light crunch of the shrimp from getting soggy, the lemon butter sauce sits on the bottom of the bowl for dipping and sopping as desired. Every dish I saw comes from the kitchen looking "photo ready". Great presentation. What really made this evening pop was our server's attention to our table. Sophia never left a single detail unattended. If she felt our drink was taking too long (which I didn't), she'd apologize and let us know she was going to check on it. Her attention to detail and perfect timing was an absolute complement to the quality of the food. I didn't feel like she was waiting on us, it felt more like we had our own personal representative on staff. Finally, ambience...probably the weakest link of Luciano's, the conversation level is loud enough in the room that you don't feel like you have to whisper for privacy giving the room a lively and family friendly feel. There is background music playing but it's almost non-existent, in fact I had to stop and tilt my head to detect it. Personally I like a little background music and it wouldn't hurt to turn up the volume a notch. Over the long bar is a single screen with muted sound playing an NBA game. Luciano's is not over-priced with great food and great service. I'll be back

Beware The "Pastrami Reuben"…read more I saw that hundreds of people on Yelp had reviewed Cibolo Creek Brewing and overall ratings were over 4 stars. I should have done a bit more reading and looking at the pictures. We stopped in on a mid-afternoon Sunday in early June. First impression upon entering through the front door was confusion. It was not really clear what the process was to order and get a seat. We approached the bar area and then noticed the "order here and seat yourself" signs. Several people came in behind us and so we felt a bit rushed to order. There were several craft beers on tap, but I was told I could not get a flight at the moment. I was able to get a taster, but with all the people behind me waiting to order, I didn't feel I had time to find out more about the beers before committing to a 16oz pour or lose my place in line. Shame on me for not doing my homework. We tried "The BEST Burger" and the "Pastrami Reuben", both with fries and two beers for close to $60 plus tip. The burger wasn't the best. It was sort of "meh". The homemade fries were good. The so-called Reuben was closer to a brisket sandwich than an actual Reuben. The meat was very mesquite-wood-smokey and then appeared to have been fried on a grill (definitely not steamed). It was very chewy despite being thinly sliced and had NONE of the flavor good pastrami has. The menu claims the meat is tri-tip, but tri-tip is known to be a tender cut. The meat on that sandwich was NOT tender. Cibolo Creek Brewery is in a great location (which sort of explains the prices) right next to the Cibolo Creek Trail and River Road Park and they do have a nice covered outdoor seating area with large family-style picnic tables. I may return to sample a few more of their beers and see if there is something I like better on the menu.
