We had a really fun time at Chicken N Pickle! The atmosphere was great and there was so much to do. They offer both indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, and everything was reasonably priced. I also loved how much outdoor seating they had throughout the place along with TVs everywhere outside so you can still catch the game while hanging out. Besides pickleball, they had cornhole, ping pong, Jenga, Battleship, and other games which made it a fun spot for all ages. They also have a restaurant and bar with lots of food and drink options. The only downside was my daughter's meal and drink. She ordered a bowl that wasn't what she expected, and her drink had Tajín around the rim which made it taste too salty for her liking. The wings were really good though. What stood out most was how the waiter and manager handled it. They were very accommodating, removed the food from the bill, and replaced her drink without any issues. Overall, we had a really good experience and would give it another try. read more

Once again Chicken n Pickle lets me down and if I could give 0 stars I would. My friends and I met here to watch the Spurs game and everything from start to finish was terrible. 1. I asked for a whiskey sour and the bartender didn't shake it so I mentioned that it should be shaken since it has citrus to which he replied did I want the one on their menu? I would've assumed he was making it the way the make it, already already. The drink was terrible both times. 2. My friend as for a French 75 and it had to be made twice, the second time they put ice in it. 3. My friend ordered ice cream and when they brought her spoon, the employee was holding it by the head of the spoon. 4. They charged the wrong drinks on the wrong cards. First time visiting this location and also my first time playing pickleball--such a fun experience! I came as part of a networking event and it turned out to be the perfect mix of socializing and staying active. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, and you definitely get a great workout while having a good time. The food was a pleasant surprise too. The chicken sandwich was delicious, and the pulled pork sandwich was just as good. Other standouts included the wings and the hummus with pita bread--everything we tried hit the spot. I love this place!! The service is great, there's plenty of space for seating indoors are out and the food is delicious! After an exciting game of Pickleball, we needed food. I settled on the chicken and waffles. Damn! That was beyond delicious. The waffles were soft and tasty and had bits of bacon on top. The chicken tenders were crunchy and cooked to perfection. This plate is the perfect combination of sweet and savory in one bite. I tasted the Mediterranean dish, which is a healthy option that comes with fresh vegetables and a chicken breast that is juicy and flavorful. Tried Chicken N Pickle recently and I have mixed feelings. First, the vibe: super cute spot with a fun concept. I totally get why people go--it's a great place to hang out, have drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere. Now the food... honestly, probably a 6/10. What a nice place to come and enjoy some cold drinks and some good food...I happen to be there during game one of the Spurs v Knicks NBA Finals and let me tell you it was rocking in there. What impressed me the most was their service was handling up whether it was drinks or plates they were coming out. Now considering the number of people there was in there their food was on point and their drinks had a nice system going as well...now let me tell you a lil bit about the outside...they have pickle ball courts and they have them indoors as well...they had sections for birthday parties which can accommodate a larger gathering. They even have a stage which they did have a live band going on as well...I even caught a glimpse of the upstairs which I did not even get a chance to go up there and they had quite a gathering up there as well. There was so much going on and I was all rolling along with such ease...I will definitely be coming back...maybe I can make it upstairs next time and check that out. read more

Came for brunch but would not recommend it. Mostly Mexican and nothing special not worth $26 they charge. Ran out of shrimp cocktail and told us it would take 30 min to refill. Hardly anything Gluten free, they made enchiladas with flour instead of the usual corn. Bunch of teens standing around desserts when asked what the chocolate like thick addition was for the melted cups of ice cream, they did not know, they didn't know much and do much. Turns out it was Nutella. Coffee is the worse. First it was burnt, then asked a server walking around if they would make a fresh cup, nothing. I love it here! Every time I come, it's a vibe. Last night we came for the day party and it was honestly one of the most fun events that I've attended in the year I've been here. Most importantly the service and food were awesome! I loved the DJ Lady O.Gee. She literally had us rocking the WHOLE time. There wasn't interruptions in the set and the space was great. We ordered wings (5/5) and fries (both truffle and sweet potato) -- also 5/5. Shout out to the bartender for the tequila rec and for making me a great old fashion!!! I dod enjoy that you could take in a game of Pickleball if you chose, I just wish the area we would have been in to eat wasn't the other side of the building and having to go in and out all the time. Super cute spot! I don't play pickle ball but they also have giant jenga, bags, ping pong. Plenty of seating and huge parking lot Good for big groups, kids, and we saw a lot of dogs. It might be hot for some of the seating in the summer but they have bar area seating and ample outdoor seating; not sure if they have covered seating / sun shades / umbrellas during the summer. This is a fun place for all ages. There is pickle ball for all to play, there is a stage and outdoor seating for a relaxed setting. You can also dine indoors. Food is great! They serve wings, quesadillas, burgers, sandwiches, etc. We visited this establishment for the igloo experience. The igloo is cute and was set up with cute pillows and seating but it was still cold inside of the igloo. There was a propane fire outside of the igloo so that kept us warm but that led us to be in the cold next to the fire. The idea behind the igloo experience is fun as long as it isn't less than 50 degrees outdoor. Overall, I do plan to visit again in the future. I'd love to come when they have live music read more

Super fun time with family playing pickleball. We went at noon on a Friday. It was pretty empty which was nice since a lot of us are beginners and sometimes the ball went flying. The team is very quick and always around to take orders and serve us. There's a lot of seating on the side or under the canopy. They have indoor and outdoor courts- since it was sunny and warm we chose outdoor. Food is pretty good for bar food (deviled eggs, wings, hummus). Only downside is how expensive it is to reserve a court (I pay less than half the price in Washington) and it's hard to find the information on the website. read more

I've been to Chicken & Pickle for a catered event, yet this was my first time dining at the restaurant. For first timers, knowing where to go, how to reserve a pickleball court, and how to order can be an overwhelming experience. We opted to eat inside, and it was a bit loud, yet not too bad. For my kiddo, I order them the two chicken strips and fries. It's a kid standard, and mine are 1.5 strips and all the fries. I'm glad ketchup was available because the BBQ sauce that was provided with their meal had too much heated spice. My husband and I shared the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken with the house seasoning. I do wish there was more avocado and tortillas available with this dish. It would have been enough for a 1/4 of the meal. It was pretty yummy once we were able to eat it. More on that in a moment. The fried pickles were meh, and the ranch we were provided tasted like salad dressing ranch rather than sour cream based or a creamer ranch. We were disappointed in the flavor. The sweet potato fries were pretty tasty, and I would get them again. The grilled broccolini was doused in red pepper flakes. If I had known before hand, I would have ordered it without the red peppers or skip the dish entirely. We asked for it to be sent back. For a replacement side, we opted for the street corn. We were warned of a heated spice topping that's layers on the corn, and we asked to have that removed. The corn was incredibly yummy - once we were able to eat it. We're about to talk about that. The knives at Chicken & Pickle are useless. Think about the plainest butter knife you could get, and that's what we got. We weren't able to separate the chicken with the knives, and I wasn't able to shuck the corn on the cob. A plastic serrated knife would have been much better. End the end, my husband separated the chicken pieces like he was at Medieval Times while I got an arm workout while brutally shucking the corn. Zero stars there. The drink and server situation was interesting. We were told that the server would help with refills, yet our server was pretty busy with multiple tables. After I noticed others getting their own refills, we followed suit. We also need extra plates to split the chicken meal, and it took a while to get that second plate. The food was pretty tasty - enough for us to want to come back and probably eat outside. The service on the other hand was interesting. Came here for an earlier mothers day celebration, and the place is amazing. I was expecting more from the food. We sat outside as it was a cool breezy day, but within a few minutes, a rain storm came. Most ran inside, but we stayed out as the patio cover kept us dry. The staff came around and picked up the napkin holders as they started flying off because of the wind. They even took one from the table my kids were eating at. I had to take one from another table just ao they could have some. The food, to me, was ok. We got the fried pickles, which the breading turned out to be a bit spicy for my little one, and me a bit. We got the quesadillas, which was flavorful but got cold fast. And last we ordered the chorizo queso which also turned cold fast. But temember, we were outside when the temperature dropped a good 10+ degrees when the rain and winds came. It cost $45 to reserve the pickleball for an hour. To me, that's a but pricey for my blood. They do have an area for your dog to relieve themselves, which is close and within view of those eating view. One of the entrances to the parking lot was blocked off, which made crossing the street traffic to enter on the other side a nuisance. You go in to order from one register, leave a card on the tab, and order what you want. Once you're done, then they close out your tab. We did find out later that there are people who come around to place orders for you from your table. Overall, the venue is amazing. They have a 21+ bar upstairs. I didn't get to see it, but I do plan to check it out once in the future. read more

The 1/4 dark meat chicken roast was good as well! The reason it's not a five star is due the cashier telling us we had to open a tab and keep it open. Even if we were just intending on getting two meals and water. That struck me as odd and there is no reason we should've been forced to have an open tab but I digress. I appreciate the quick resolution on the matter thanks to Matthew. I don't know why the manager of the night before, Leo, would not fix the issue. We reserved an outdoor court for 2 hours. Pickleball was super fun. Order some appetizers (guacamole, queso, and fried pickles) and all were really tasty. I had the rotisserie chicken which was really good. A manager, Garrett, checked on us and was ensuring excellent customer service throughout our stay. I visited Chicken N Pickle for the first time earlier this month, and was amazed :D I had never been to a venue that is specifically for the enjoyable pastime of pickleball :D ! But there are also other activities, like giant Jenga, tic tac toe, Cornwall, and USS Chicken N Pickle battleship :) ! Their company website isn't exactly clear or user-friendly. So I came in person on a Saturday to ask an employee about some of their pricing options. There are beginners lessons on Saturday mornings around 10 am for $15 per person. On Wednesdays, you can get an even better deal for $5 per person since it is less crowded on the weekdays compared to the weekends. On Sunday mornings, you can choose to do just the beginner's lesson. Or if you can try the Sunday brunch + beginner's lesson option for just $25 per person (before tax) :) ! I was really happy to do the Sunday brunch + beginner's lesson option :D ! Because the beginner's lesson started at 9 am on a Sunday, I got to learn the basics of pickleball with 2 other ladies :) ! Our instructor, Ryan, was really patient and taught us how to effectively serve, and the key points of this growing pastime :) ! It also really helped that we were such a small group for him to teach. We got pretty personalized attention during our beginner's lesson compared to some of the bigger group settings. It also really helped that we could learn on an indoor court so we were inside and away from the blistering heat outside! The Sunday brunch was absolutely delicious :) ! I have to admit that I was pretty surprised because the food at most sports venues, or sports-like places, isn't very good or appetizing. But the Sunday brunch here was really delicious and surpassed my expectations :) ! You could get subsequent helpings and refills of any of the brunch items if you're really that hungry :) ! At most, if you want a mimosa, you would have to pay for that separately for only about $6.50 per drink. But otherwise, everything else for the brunch was already included in the price you pay upfront :) ! I'll definitely have to come back here because my first experience there taking the beginner's lesson and enjoying their Sunday brunch was amazing :D ! For newbies like me, I can opt to take some of the "skills & drills" classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays to practice more. Or I could work with one of the coaches or instructors one-on-one for about $60 per hour. For those who already have their own regular group of family or friends to play pickleball with, you can reserve an indoor court or an outdoor court. But as expected with this intense summer heat, the indoor courts get booked and snatched up fast! Overall, whether you're well seasoned, or totally brand new to pickleball, this place is a great way to socialize and exercise :D ! They have some locations throughout Texas, and in certain other states, like Missouri and Kansas. I believe that Chicken N Pickle itself was founded in Kansas City :) ! Since this amazing chain continues to expand throughout Texas, I really hope that a Chicken & Pickle location will open up in El Paso in the near future :) ! I think it would do really well there, and I know that a lot of people in El Paso would be super excited to have something like this there! It would also nicely compliment the Top Golf venue that has already been there for quite some time now. read more

We stopped in for Happy Hour just to grab a drink and I was very impressed. The drinks were very well made and delicious. I had a spicy Blackberry Margarita, I highly recommend it! The bartender was knowledgeable about the drinks and checked back with us numerous times. Our first time here and decided to celebrate a Birthday. Make sure to reserve way ahead, slots fill up fast! And I mean really fast, especially on the weekend. We were fortunate to access an indoor court in the middle of the afternoon on a weekend for an hour and a half. Prices don't seem to be readily displayed on the website, our time was a little pricey. But, we had a blast! Great workout too. The employee gave us a short rundown on the rules and then we were on our own. We did rent the paddles and paid for a ball, which you do own after your time. Highly recommend trying pickle ball it and getting an indoor court. Lots of seating outdoors, photo op areas, group games, and a restaurant, although we didn't get the chance to order food this time around. First time pickler here, and I see what the hype has been about! As its name implies, Chicken n Pickle serves chicken based meals, along with Pickleball courts. Depending on your preference, you can reserve either an indoor or outdoor covered court ($30 for one hour). You'll find tons of outdoor yard games, tables, TVs and seating. Chicken n Pickle is family friendly, so you'll find little ones running amuck (watch out!). If Pickleball isn't your thing, this location also has Bocce courts for $10/hour. As far as the food goes, it's pretty standard American. You'll find rotisserie chickens and a variety of other chicken options such as smokey wings, chicken sandwiches, and salads or bowls with chicken. The food was pretty mediocre to me. This was my first time and I was so excited to finally check it out. There was a group of 18 of us and it was very busy, granted it's spring break lol. Our server CHLOE was amazing! She was so sweet, attentive and made sure our food and drinks were good every time. The kitchen was about at an hour long wait but we ordered drinks and passed the time. The venue is great for playing pickleball but I saw pictures from the Vegas Chicken-N-Pickle location which had all shaded courts. San Antonio is very sunny and hot and the outdoor courts need shadecover. The food is meh to me; I would eat before you arrive. They also have long lines for ordering. My mom goes often during the week from 8-10am for their cheaper drop-in play and she loves it. Room for improvement would be a play area for younger kids, such as a playground.
