That's one facet of having a pet sitter is if something comes up and u need someone. She lashed out at my wife and I questioning why we didn't have them being watched which we did and she made us explain ourselves that we were away and our flight was late etc etc. we had someone staying at the home and the dogs were Alone for a whole 6 hours when we found out our flight was going to be late. People leave their dogs for 8-10 hours a day while they work. She questioned us like we were children We are 50 year old professional adults and have had dogs our whole life. I think she is rude because she doesn't know who "she" is. She's a dog walke. I'm sure so proud. Have no idea but very happy to never have to use her again. Like we would ever use her again anyways. Just aggressively rude. 2 star because she actually showed up but again she thinks she is "gods gift to animal care" Back to her response to me. All of that info which I didn't take the time to read it all still has zero to do with just how rude she was.

We can rely and trust her to care for our boys at a moment's notice (if something happens) or 6-8 months in advance if we're planning a trip away or a summer concert and it's December. She was with us during the loss of our beloved Ronin this past June 2019 when he passed of lymphoma. She came by on his last day to say goodbye and then made him a beautiful shadow box with all of the photos she had taken of him over the years. We all cried together and she truly does think of your dogs like one of her own. When we are away of course we miss the dogs but we never once worry or wonder how they are when Holly is caring for them. She knows their routines, their personalities, lets us know if they are off, or if they are okay, or sad, or miss us. The boys absolutely lose their mind (in a good way) when she comes to see them which makes us feel so good. I have absolutely no idea as to these "rude" comments from the other poster. Holly is not just a "dog walker." She knows animals, behavior, traits. We give her a key to our home. We trust her in our house and with our kids (lets be honest, our dogs are our kids.) She is so much more than a "pet sitter." She is considered to be a member of our family. Her companionship and love for our dogs is incredible. She is reliable, personable, sends us photos while we are away, lets us know how the boys are, leaves us notes, I could go on. Holly, we thank you. We love you - and the boys love you too!

It made a huge difference and I had the greatest respect for Jess. Unfortunately, the last time I brought my Newfoundland the owner, Mary, massively shamed me. My dog went through surgery when he was two, that they were well aware of since they were taking care of him before and after. The surgery was a success, but my Newfie suffers from the shakes when he gets nervous or does something he doesn't like. We bring him to the vet yearly and they monitor his hips and have said he's fine, but he has anxiety when he's brushed by his back legs. Jess is well aware that the shakes are simply his way to con people into not doing what he doesn't want to, he's a master manipulator. We did recently bring him to a new vet and we were going to try anxiety meds for him at his next visit. The last time we brought him we did explain that he had a couple of mats and to over charge us if they had a more difficult time grooming him. When I called later to pick him up no one answered, I tried several times. I was a little concerned as it was after 4 and they didn't typically take that long. So I drove there and they were just finishing. Mary came out hot, shaming me for his mats and for how bad he shakes and made me feel just awful. She is well aware the shakes are neurological and she made me feel like a horrible dog owner yelling about how bad he shakes. She yelled that I need to start bringing him in every 6 weeks or more, which I simple cannot afford at over $120 a visit. I still gave her a generous tip and cried on the way home. We try to bring him in 4 times a year, especially in the spring for a deeper trim before he starts swimming. Even though I was ashamed and embarrassed I trusted these guys with my Dexter so I called in May to make an appointment and left a message. I tried again a few weeks later, left a message. Again I tried and left a message with her husband to call back, no response. My husband tried to call and the lovely Jess answered, but she had to check with Mary on a time, no call back. I left another message a day later asking if they were stopping us as clients and to please let us know as it's been two months of me trying to make an appointment and Dexter is in desperate need at this point, no forking call back. At this point I'm so incredibly disappointed with this company. 6 years Dexter went to them and with his trust issues it's going to be very difficult to find another groomer, let alone someone that can support his giant weight. I just thought after years of dedication they would at least have the decency to let us no they no longer wish to see our dog so we could have made arrangements sooner for another visit. I was stupidly loyal even after Mary treated me so poorly. The crazy things is, Jess stated multiple times in the past that we do the best with our Newfie to keep him groomed between appointments, better than the other owners so this last appointment and the vigorous shaming by Mary was completely unexpected. Wish Jess the best, but I have zero respect for the owner Mary. You don't do this to loyal customers.

Our furbaby, Oni, has been going to A Precious Pet Resort (APPR) since he was 9 1/2 weeks old. Our…read morepup is a cautious boy and was unsure of the staff at first, but we introduced him to Mary and her team a few times prior to dropping him off for 5-days a week doggie daycare. Our pup is now 5 1/2 years old and LOVES going to APPR. Although we now live 30 minutes away, we still take him to APPR whenever we need someone to care for him if we are going to be away for a few hours or a week. We attempted a different place when I changed jobs a few years ago to save on my commute for daycare drop off, but our pup did not adjust to this new place well. He was scared and did not respond well to the pet caregivers. We were told he hid in a corner most of the days and didn't play with the other dogs and was scared whenever a group of dogs approached him. The new place operated under a "dog park" mentality and all the dogs were grouped together during the day-our pup was telling them and us he didn't like that style. The new place had all the bells and whistles of fancy live feed cameras, indoor playground and outdoor playground, but our dog didn't care about that and didn't care to remain at the new place. Our dog responds very well to positive reinforcement, how he is being treated and how he is being taken care of and our pup is happiest when in small groups or 1:1 playtime. APPR offers this type of service for him. APPR is a family-owned business so they do not have all the bells and whistles like some other surrounding or larger places within a 20-30 mile radius, but they care for, individualized care, and are attentive to the pets they service. When our pup is boarded, we provide plenty of treats, food and toppers along with his blanket and dog bed to provide a more 'comfort of home' feel for him. We know how much he eats and what he likes and APPR honors our feeding plan and gives the measurements, food, toppers and treats that we request. We have a wonderful relationship and 2-way communication with APPR. If we request grooming and/or bathing as a part of his stay, we ask for this at a minimal extra charge. Oni has experienced both daily daycare and boarding services and he and we are happy with their service. When my husband and I travel, we know that our pup is in good hands with Mary and her team. They were also very caring and concerned about my needs as well as my cats needs. I then needed to use this regular vet service because I was thinking my cat had allergy problems while the day before my visit was scheduled. Something had happened to his back end where he was limping. They still took him in under the appointment that I had booked for his allergies. I had a first thing in the morning appointment and they were very busy even at that point I waited about a half hour after my appointment before the vet tech came in. She did some ear swabs to check for an allergy or to check for an infection and then I waited an additional 20 minutes before the results could come back andthe vet to come in the room both Treated me with care and compassion as well as they did my cat they gave me some medication's, They talked me through the treatment plan what they thought it might be. They told me that my cat did have a heart murmur which was new to me and they recommended an echocardiogram which cost around $500.Dollars. I'm willing to go ahead and do that. To provide the proper care that my cat will need moving forward with his life he is only four years old. I did ask about an x-ray for his back area due to the limping. The doctor said I could if I wanted to pay the $250 but she felt that it wasn't necessary. Let's work with the medication's first and then we'll go ahead and do the x-ray if need be and I was OK with that. She said if the injury was very severe, he wouldn't have intermediate limping he would be lame and not moving and intolerable to discomfort. So, with all this being said, I did need to make some phone calls to the vet once I started the medication and to talk over some things that I had questions about after the visit and all of my phone calls were returned and they were all met with my satisfaction and my cats. He's doing much better. We just have to run the course of the medication. I hope that anybody else who uses this veterinarian service has the same encounter me, and my handsome fella have had

My sweet ringneck dove, Peppermint, was injured and starting to show signs of an infection, and I was absolutely terrified. Birds are so delicate and incredibly good at hiding illness until it's too late, so I immediately started calling around trying to find a vet who would even see a bird. Most clinics don't, but thankfully, Bedford Pet Urgent Care told me they could see her the very same day. From the moment we arrived, I felt so reassured. The receptionist was incredibly kind. When I needed to step away to use the restroom while waiting to see the vet, she offered to have Peppermint stay with her at the front desk and interacted with her so sweetly. That level of compassion meant so much to me. The vet we saw, Dr. Penraat, was absolutely wonderful. He handled Peppermint with such gentleness and care that she immediately trusted him (so much so that she happily perched on his head after the exam to show her affection). Watching how calm and comfortable she was with him truly spoke volumes. Dr. Penraat quickly identified the issue and prescribed effective medication, which worked amazingly well. Peppermint was noticeably better in less than a week. I was beyond relieved and so grateful for the excellent care she received. To my fellow bird owners in New Hampshire: I highly recommend them. This was hands down the best veterinary experience I've ever had. Finding a vet who is knowledgeable, comforting, and genuinely caring with birds is so rare, and Dr. Penraat is truly exceptional. Shortly after contacting Peesh's Pets, I had a meeting set up. I immediately felt comfortable and excited for her to come back and spend time with my dog. My dog, clearly agreed that she was wonderful and began greeting her that way every time. Susan is warm, friendly and personable yet completely professional- which is very important to me and I feel, rare in this business. I admitted it right off.. although I have a lovely dog, her separation anxiety makes her high maintenance. MANY dog walkers or sitters have turned me down, immediately, when I explained my situation. Not only was Susan willing to come meet my goofy great dane, she has fallen in love with her. I can no longer call her my dog sitter; instead she has become a trusted friend and to my dane, is known as "Auntie". That being said.... I met Susan with Peesh's pets only a few weeks ago. I needed a change in pet care as I wanted someone that this was their only job, not someone doing this as a part time gig... Well I found it! Susan is the owner/operator and is extremely dedicated to her business and LOVES animals. So my story, I was out of town for literally a 12 day work meeting. I received multiple daily updates and one of the updates from Susan came in saying that my dog was showing a bump on his back hip area. We decided she would watch it but I would make a vet appt for my day of return. The day of me arriving home I received a message that she was going to take my dog to the ER and I agreed, the bump had doubled in size. Long story short my flight was delayed multiple times and I did not get here in time for while my dog was at the ER, she got him home about 1:30 in the morning and STAYED with him until I got in at 6:00am!!! She would not leave him alone after what he had been through. Preliminary diagnosis is cancer, and Susan is the one that had to tell me the news. I can't imagine how that was for her as I broke down. She would not accept any further compensation for what she did for me. This goes beyond being a "pet sitter". She is a part of our lives, she has a care and love for what she does that goes beyond anything I could of imagined. Well, Casey picked her up at our home and she and our pup seemed to bond immediately! Off they went for her first grooming with Casey; about 30 minutes later I get a text telling us that her bath went easily. We never expected that at all. An hour later we head to Casey's to pick her up and on arrival, we find our finicky pup fully at ease and right at home. Never expected that either. Along with everything else our pup looked great! Even if I don't have a need for daycare I will send her because she enjoys it so much.
