Take orders are prepared with same great quality. For instance the Southwest baked potato, alone this item will fill most people up. I had never put one on a scale before, until today. At 20.5 ounces it's no wonder these potato's is so filling. Several ways to order a bake potato at The Dog House, southwest is my favorite loaded with cheese, green pepper, onions, and tasty white sauce

We finally went to The Dog House and it's great when a place measures up to everything we've read. The good reviews are well earned and we will be back many times. I ordered The Dog House Cheeseburger and fries. When I looked at the burger I was skeptical; it didn't look like anything special. But once I took a bite I was happily surprised! It was flavorful and juicy with just the right amount of char! The toppings were fresh and the the cheese was perfectly melted. The fries were an extremely generous portion. They were hot, fresh and crispy. Maybe a bit too crispy for my taste, as they were hard on my dentures (it sucks getting old) but they were good. I will say, I'm not a huge fan of fries but they got such rave reviews, I just had to try them. After looking over the menu board, I am definitely interested in trying some of their other sides; they look so unique. My hubs had The Fireman hot dog and fries. He loved it! From the juicy, all beef hot dog to the fresh jalapenos and cilantro, it was an instant hit. He did say the bun was a little stale and crumbly, but it wasn't a show stopper. He's vowed to skip the sides next time and just order 2 of these delicious dogs. I am committed to trying many different items on their menu as I'm sure they'll be around for a long, long time.

Excellent menu and prices are good. Baked potatoes loaded, hot dogs, and more I want to try. Plenty of seating. Worth a trip to Greeneville.

Unbelievably, it was right here in little ole' Greeneville. My salmon was cooked perfectly: buttery, rich, flaky and glistening. It came with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, which were creamy and expertly seasoned, and fresh green beans sauteed to crisp-tender perfection. The dinner was topped with a luscious rosemary and Parmesan cream sauce, crispy shallots, and a sprinkle of crispy bacon that tied everything together. I felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant! It was a dinner that I will remember for a long, long time.

Hadn't been there five years before Covid so it had been over 11 years. They have doubled or tripled in size. We lucked out and got there at 1:30. I believe they open at 11:30 on Saturday and we hit at a perfect time we got seated. We had our drink order within a minute of being seated, the lady explained everything we waited 20 minutes and was served our meat and all our sides for those of you not familiar with the restaurant. You are served family style in case you don't know exactly what family style means is that they bring a bunch of different sides to you get to pick the meats two of them per table and they come on platters. we happen to get pork chops and fried chicken. The pork chops had a dark gravy that was almost barbecued and was a little spicy so our table didn't quite care for those so they went with the country fried steak in a second helping of fried chicken. It got busier and the fried chicken was a bit dry the second time better to do chicken salad than to eat hot although I do like piping hot fried chicken! Side dishes vary 7 to 9 different sides. They automatically bring to the table that carrot soufflé is one of our favorites. I've yet to replicate. They have Yukon gold mashed potatoes, gravy beans, and whatever beans of the day, cream corn, green beans, corn salad, fresh rolls, and fresh skillet cornbread with delicious rail butter served on a slab and room temperature so it's easy to spread. There are several meats to choose from catfish and pork chops and fried chicken buttermilk chicken, which wasn't served on Saturday but is awesome. There were pork chops, country ham there was boiled cabbage, and the time before there were pickles and apple butter and cottage cheese years ago, so their sides vary but the carrot soufflé is still wonderful. You would swear were sweet potatoes!

That's fine in normal cold weather, but at 22 degrees the overhead heaters just don't quite cut it. I think this part of the experience could use a little revision. My wife had pancakes with vanilla syrup and sausage. I ordered the classic breakfast with eggs, grits, sausage, and toast. Everything was very flavorful. My only complaint was that my food was lukewarm. It seemed like my food may have been finished and sat for a few minutes while my wife's pancakes were completed. On a cold morning, I would have preferred a hotter meal, the grits weren't warm enough to melt the butter, and the toast was cold, so I didn't even attempt to butter it. That said, even with the temperature issue, the food was still very tasty, and given how cold it was outside, I'm willing to let it slide. Everything arrived quickly, and the restaurant itself is very quaint, set in an old home that is very clean. On our first visit, they offered chocolate chip cookies to go, and they were excellent! They didn't have any this time, but we'll be back again to try our luck. To those about to nosh, I salute you!!
