Enjoying some personal time in her safe place

Brett has been absolutely wonderful in the time my dog Bailey and my family have shared with him. He is courteous and caring when it comes to the dogs he helps. Our dog Bailey is a very reactive dog and has a past that had her in a kennel for most of her life. She had no interaction with any dogs outside of a kennel and most of those dogs also had issues of their own. Brett has helped her with her focus and her attention span has severely lengthened. She understands very well the place command and sees that as her lil' dog cave. She has also picked up the "heel" command pretty well and no longer tries to pull me around when out on a walkabout. The one on one sessions are very informative and Brett clearly demonstrates his knowledge of his business every time we meet. There are also Saturday classes to attend while and when finished with the one on one sessions. There are different levels of Saturday classes to help address the specific issues your dog may have. It's also a great opportunity to meet other dogs and their owners. Thank you Brett for helping us with lil' Bailey.

Been working with Brett for about 4/5 weeks - my puppy golden retriever can heel / sit and come on command. I wish I knew about Brett for my previous mastifs as he would've been very helpful. But I recommend to anyone who's willing to put the time in to ensuring your dog is well behaved as an adult. It's work , but I think it would be a million times more work later if I didn't commit now.

Call Brett NOW! Searching for a dog trainer is not easy. Out of chance, we called Brett for our 5 year old Terrier mix.... we are extremely lucky we came across his yelp page. We have used three other trainers with very little progression in calming Napoli's leash aggression, improving socialization skills, and decreasing anxiety. After the FIRST session with Brett we understood why Napoli is so reactive and how we can correct the behavior without treats!! For Napoli's situation, the treats were making the situation worse. Before Brett we had no idea how to deal with her behavior without using treats. No more treat pouches and messy pockets for us! Game changer!

I was nervous to see dogs on walks due to his reactivity and even though he was an angel at home, sweet as pie, gentle and obedient - taking him out anywhere was not fun for him nor for me. Zoom Room changed all that. Now we use a handsfree leash. No more 'no pull harness', just a flat collar. I take him anywhere and he's improved so much in terms of reactivity. we are not perfect in terms of dog neutrality yet but WOW we have come so far. I take him to Runyon and Fryman, which I would have never done before due to all the dogs. I'm excited now when I see dogs, to help him practice making good decisions. I couldn't have done this without Alex and Justin. We've done a combo of Agility, Obedience, Loose Leash Hiking and Calm Down classes. We continue to work everyday and put into practice what we learn in class. Thank you Zoom Room for helping us so much and making life so much more enjoyable.

To start on a positive note: the instructors at Zoom Room Sherman Oaks are wonderful. They were kind, patient, knowledgeable, and great with my puppy. I truly have nothing negative to say about the training staff themselves. Unfortunately, management completely changed my perception of this business. When I first reached out about enrolling my puppy at just 3 months old, Diego was extremely responsive, accessible, and accommodating. At the time, it felt like he genuinely cared about helping me get started early and setting my puppy up for success. Looking back now, it feels more like the priority was simply making the sale. I purchased a 20-class package and completed about 10 sessions before I was involved in an accident that medically took me out for several months. Once I recovered enough to return, I was excited to continue training and finish the remaining sessions I had already paid for -- only to suddenly be told that my classes had "expired." Here's the issue: nowhere during the sales process do I remember this being clearly explained, nor is it something that stood out on their website when I enrolled. Had someone transparently told me, "These classes must be completed within X amount of time or you lose them," I would have understood the terms upfront. Instead, I was left feeling blindsided after dealing with a serious medical situation that was completely outside my control. What made this experience especially frustrating was how differently I was treated once I needed help instead of making a purchase. Diego suggested I contact the Culver City location because they are corporate-owned and might be able to approve an exception. Their staff was incredibly kind, empathetic, and accommodating. They even told me they personally did not understand why Sherman Oaks would not work with me given the circumstances surrounding my accident. Unfortunately, because Sherman Oaks is independently owned, Culver City could not override their decision. At that point, it became increasingly clear that Diego simply did not want to accommodate me. Communication suddenly became difficult. Calls to the office repeatedly went straight to voicemail for days. Messages went unanswered. The number Diego originally provided me to text him through stopped working entirely. Eventually, I called from my office phone instead of my personal number -- and magically the call finally rang through and Diego answered immediately. That moment honestly confirmed what I had already suspected: it truly felt like my number had been blocked to avoid speaking with me. That is beyond unprofessional. When I finally spoke to him, he initially pretended not to know who I was before quickly changing course and stating that "they" would not approve an exception. When I politely asked who "they" referred to, he avoided giving a direct answer. I asked for justification as to why a customer recovering from an accident could not simply finish sessions that were already paid for, especially when another Zoom Room location agreed the request was reasonable. His response was essentially: "Then go there instead." I have been nothing but polite throughout this entire process. I have supported this business from day one. Every class visit included additional purchases for my dog. Yet the moment I needed basic understanding and compassion, I was treated like an inconvenience. Eventually Diego admitted that he had made previous exceptions for me related to cancellations that were also outside my control. Somehow, instead of those accommodations demonstrating reasonable customer service, he used them as justification for why he would no longer help me. That mentality says everything. A good manager understands that life happens. Accidents happen. Medical emergencies happen. Especially in a business centered around pets, people, and community, you would hope kindness and empathy would matter more than rigid policies selectively enforced after payment has already been collected. This entire experience has completely changed my perception of Zoom Room Sherman Oaks. Again, the trainers are fantastic -- but management can absolutely ruin an otherwise great business. He told me that I could speak with Jillian (which I imagine is another manager), but he ended with, "but she won't be approving you either." I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner of this location because this experience was handled terribly from start to finish. Until then, I would strongly encourage potential customers to think carefully before investing large amounts of money here. Based on my experience, the customer care disappears the moment flexibility, compassion, or accountability are needed.

I want the best for my puppies, so I asked so many different people where and how they trained their dogs. I received a few suggestions, but decided to do my own search...and I'm glad I did. Leo (Owner) and his amazing team of trainers TRULY care about the pups they train. Leo came to my home and wanted to meet me and my pups before I had to decide on making any decisions. After sitting down with him for about half an hour, I knew I found what I was looking for: Someone who wants me to have healthy and happy dogs. I signed up for the in-home training at first which is Leo coming to the house and training me on how to train my puppies (Archie and Charlie just turned 6 months and started with Leo and his team when they were 4.5). Very quickly, I realized I could not handle training both these puppies the way they needed to be trained. I discussed with Leo and decided to do a Board & Train. I like the schedule because I get to take the puppies on the weekends to spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, you NEED to train your pups on the weekends, but it's worth it and FUN. Archie has become the Puppy King (no offense to other puppies or their owners )). Charlie has a lot more energy, but has improved immensely! Leo's trainers are so caring. I feel my dogs get love with their training when they're not with me, and I couldn't ask for more. I see their excitement whenever I visit about improvements and milestones that Archie and Charlie achieved. They gleam with as much pride as I do. I honestly don't know where my pups OR I would be without the help of this AMAZING Team! If I could give 10 stars out of 5 stars, I would!
