I figured bc she's a big dog it was just a long thorough process. I called 3 hours in and they hadn't even taken her to bathe yet. She'd been laying in a kennel for 3 hours! There are also gated outside spaces for the dogs to run freely off leash. There is the option to have your dog play with other dogs of their size, or have outside time attended. Our dog had a window and TV in his room. I received a photo and update regarding him while he was there. I'm so appreciative that I found them. The vet cleared their schedule for the afternoon to make sure the surgery was done and they kept him on watch for 2 days. My dog received great care and he loved all the docs and techs that saw him, which if you knew how stubborn my dog is, you'd know how big of a deal that was. We are full time nomads so he's been to his share of vets across the country, but I honestly believe this has been his favorite vet. Unfortunately, the mass on my dog's spleen turned out to be an aggressive form of cancer, so his best prognosis is 3 months. I don't blame the vet at all- if they wouldn't have done the surgery my dog would already be gone, so I'm very grateful to Aspen Vet. Thank y'all so much for your kindness, compassion, honesty, empathy, and care.
