I feel bad writing a poor review, this place seems to be on their last leg. Hopefully they can turn it around. I walked it and it smelled terrible! I should have just left. I came for self serve dog wash, the receptionist took about 10 minutes ringing me up. I don't care to give you my number, email, etc. just want to wash my dog. The dog wash area was so gross. Drain clogged, dryer was so loud and didn't really dry my dog, shampoo and conditioner extremely watered down and didn't lather whatsoever. Finally, I left with a wet dog and just finished the job at home. One and done for sure. read more

I do not recommend the dog zone. I used the self wash and it was the worst I have ever been to. It is so cheap, and not in a good way. Cheap, dirty, falling apart tools. The baths are so dirty and it was just a hose. The shampoo was basically water. There was no conditioner out and I had to really ask for them to bring some out due to my dogs skin needs and the bottle was absolutely drenched in sticky stuff and hair. It is so loud in there due to the boarding / daycare, which honestly looked sad - a small 4x5 gated concrete bottom area with a cot. I would never leave my dog there. He was terrified. I'm nervous how his skin is going to react to the product, but time will tell. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Although the price of $16.50 for a larger dog is relatively affordable I guess, there are MUCH better places. read more

When I walked in, i was hit with an overwhelming smell of urine and pine sol. PINE OIL, is toxic to dogs and will harm them. There was no one in the back with the dogs and as far as I can tell, there's no windows in the building, how are they getting ventilation? I wouldn't recommend going here as I got bad impression, the staff couldn't even really explain the shampoo upgrades offered. read more

We have had our two dogs cared for at The Dog Zone for over a year now and I am confident about giving them a solid four-star rating. We have extensively used both their grooming services and doggie day care. The day care can be for just a few hours or there is boarding for multiple days. Staff have always followed our instructions for feeding, snacks, and bathing very carefully. If our pets had to be out of the house for several days, they were great about letting us visit them as long as we wanted. Owner and employees are all very kind and sincerely seem to care for their furry charges. Special kudos to their outstanding groomer, Elijah, who always performs a meticulous job of grooming our dogs from nose to tail. They always return beautifully clean, trimmed nails, glossy coat, just looking very special. I can give a confident recommendation to anyone looking for dog grooming/boarding services. This is near my home and easy. They have 2 tubs that are stainless steel or maybe aluminum. My dog is 80 lbs and I upgrade to hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner, I've tried without upgrading and was disappointed. It's not as cheap as other places but worth the $26 I spent and took my time. They have a warm air blower, vacuum style that I love me too. This is my 3rd time and because it's so convenient, I'll return. I give it a solid 4stars, I've never had to wait and free dog treat too. read more

I was devastated when I couldn't get my girl into our usual kennel. I started calling around and talking to the staff. July is BUSY. Plan ahead during busy seasons. Our Ruby is a schnauzer mix and is smart as a whip. She has been house broken for months, and just has some issues biting me and my daughter, which they offered no advice. I have a call in to a couple different trainers to see if we can get it under control, STAT! We left Ru Saturday afternoon so she would have ample time to feel comfortable until the staff leaves in the evenings. Come Monday morning, (closed Sunday's) I didn't get in to pick her up until close to 2 PM. She was happy to see me, and my daughter and we spent a decent amount of time sniffing the things getting used to us again. Once we picked up Ru she had lost most of her house training. Dogs aren't taken "outside" to go potty. There isn't even a potty area, how hard would that be? Not hard. Most dogs pee everywhere and poop everywhere. Ru stunk so bad. She probably stepped, sat, laid in every dog visitors poops & pees. So disappointing. I didn't think the dog staff was very impressive. They more monitor the dogs. Not a lot of play or stimuli. End of stay baths are extra. Many other kennels offer it as a courtesy. This is Ru, home & clean. I'm never going back and now schedule her stays a year in advance at her favorite vacay spot. read more

DO NOT GO TO THE DOG ZONE! We boarded our 7 month old pocket American Bulldog, when he picked him up he was absolutely disgusting covered in urine and poop. I'm not sure if they even have an outdoor place for them to go to the bathroom. When we picked him up we noticed that he was limping on his back and front paws. When we looked at them and it was an open wound on his paw. Then his face had scratches all over. We understand little marks here and there but these were more than just playing. The staff was all friendly and stuff but they didn't say anything about his limping or scratches on his face and other places on his body. We took him in to get checked out to make sure he was healthy about 2 or 3 days before he went to get boarded and they said that he was a healthy dog and now he has an ear infection, skin infection and is sick. read more

I have two Bernese mountain dogs and go to self serve dog washes on a monthly basis. My go to wasn't open today and this place was on the way to visiting family. It looks like they do boarding and grooming as well so was hoping to have a plan b option for services when my usual place is closed. The staff were very friendly and helpful while we were there and the price was good($15), but the self serve area was pretty minimal. The bath and the nozzle were solid but the brushes provided did not work and the shampoo provided was below average for effectiveness and smell. No conditioner available or supplies to clean ears. The blow dryer worked well. The dog boarding area is behind a glass wall behind the counter and you could hear some staff yelling at dogs, I imagined my dogs being back there and I wouldn't want them Interacted with in that way, it would backtrack basic training we have done with them in one experience. I couldnt see any evidence of average dog training being used when they were trying to prompt the dogs to either do something, or stop doing something, just lots of yelling dogs names. you could see dogs crowding eachother in kennels. It seemed like the dogs were just free to do whatever they please. The self serve wasn't awful, but definitely did not have everything we needed. I do really appreciate the staff being so friendly and helpful to us. I may return in a pinch for the self serve wash but would not consider them for boarding. read more

I waited for a week and a half for the appointment to come on May 22nd and they called me 18 hours before the appointment claiming their groomer won't be there and that I have to reschedule my appointment and the soonest they can get Quora in is June 7th. That showed me immediately what kind of company they are and I said I would be taking my dog somewhere else. After reading reviews that a poor Husky died due to negligence made me very happy I have avoided this crap hole. read more

They were really busy when we showed up- for our self service dog bath- and a bit discombobulated. No rubber mat for inside the dog tub (!)- but the gal did provide a towel as a substitute. But: very nice folks. Dogs there for grooming, boarding and day care seemed happy and well cared for. A great value for the price ($12!). Personally, I'd rather pay a bit more and get the rubber mat. We love coming here! Our furry friend gets excited every time we pull in the parking lot! You can tell some of the staff absolutely Love working with dogs; I mean some even take the time to say good morning and a genuine goodbye every time our pup leaves! We couldn't be more happy and feel better knowing our dog is in safe and loving hands anytime we have to drop him off for daycare or leave him overnight. The groomer was a nice lady but boy oh boy is her cut an awful cut. My mini schnauzer does not have an even cut across her body. There are long patches on her legs and buzzed patches all over as well. We've gotten our dog groomed many times and she is well behaved and this groomer said she was as well so I'm not sure why she looks so bad. I would not take my dog here again to get groomed. They have a doggy daycare and boarding but we've never used them because we are just in town visiting. Don't get your dog groomed here! read more

My dogs are very well taken care of here. Everyone that works here is awesome! I have been taking my dogs here for over a year and have never had anything but good experiences. I have two large dogs and they can be a handful, so I am grateful to have found a place I can trust with them. They are also very reasonably priced and well worth the cost. Arrived 14 minutes late and was denied service. In my mind, if you can't have the compassion to accommodate your clients when they need it most, you're out of business, it's just a matter of time. Tip to the manager: you could have offered a quicker service, i would have gladly accepted. For example, no nails, no bells and whistles, but you were quick to turn a client away, very unprofessional, afterall we're talking about a 3 h + service. My husband has taken my other dog there and had to pick him up much later than what we were told, he didn't complaint. But here's my review. Hopefully you learn something from it. read more

Worst grooming experience I have ever had. My dog came home with a huge chunk taken out of his fur on his back. When we contacted them to address the problem the groomer denied they did it and said it looked "Suspicious", acting like we did this to our own dog. The owner got involved and was extremely rude, again insinuating we did this ourselves. They would not offer a refund of any kind. Been here a few times. For the most part it's been great. They have a relatively low cost and do a great job. However, the last time was different. They called me the night before to verify that I could make it and I said I could. Next morning I am literally getting out of the truck with my dog and I get a call from them saying that my groomer is not coming in because her dog is having puppies so they have to cancel my appointment. I'm a busy guy and I had a lot to do that day so I was pretty irritated because I don't live very close. My dog was pregnant and needed to get her hair cut before the puppies were born. I wouldn't be able to take her anywhere else before then. The man who called was very short with me and didn't even care about the fact that they had to cancel. So I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
