Do you know how hard it is to find a truly great grooming service? You probably do, since you're here on Yelp looking for a groomer. Well, the La Habra/Whittier area is packed with groomers for some reason, and we've tried a few of them. One was simply awful, another was great, but nearly impossible to book less than a month out. Dogg Lounge is our most recent happy discovery. We recently used Dogg Lounge for the second time and have been thrilled both times. First of all, the exterior is super cute. There is a sign in the window welcoming all of their clients for the day. Inside, the place is very welcoming and natural. There are dogs in and outside of pens. Dogs being dogs! How lovely! What sets Dogg Lounge apart is the very clear love that the groomers have for the animals they service - especially the owner. When I pick my dogs up after a grooming, they look like they have moved in! They're so comfortable and happy to be there. How refreshing. After their appointment, Dogg Lounge posts photos of your pups or cats after their service on their super fun Instagram. The only negative with this location is that parking is a bit dodgy. We have been taking our little Meyu to The Dogg Lounge since it opened. Meyu has some anxiety issues and we love the way Michelle and her staff make Meyu feel and look. You can see how much love she puts into her work by the way she treats all her little fur customers. Her prices are great for every service she has to offer. I have to say that my Obi had a great experience at Dogg Lounge. It was his first time at the groomer's. ( he is just a few days shy of 4 months.). I noticed immediately that it was a place that was going to be kind and gentle with our fur baby, which was my main concern when searching for a groomer. He was calm and happy when we picked him up; he did not look stressed or nervous at all. I booked Obi's next appointment already. Paid $25 to clean him up and trim. We have been there several times and thought it was good. Recently we have notice that they are kinda on the shady-side. Charging us for stuff we didn't ask for. Knowingly, when they checked my dog in they asked & I said ONLY daycare. Come back to pick him up and they claimed that he had poop on him and they gave him a bath. Which I call BS! If they don't want to take certain customers, they should just say so! This is not how you should run a local business... People talk. They will hear the bad more often than the good. read more

Seriously so glad I stumbled on the Dogg Lounge, not only is Michelle and her entire team so friendly, they are loving and caring with every single pet. Even though they have their hands full with my 3 fur babies, they seem to be so patient with them, which is the reason why I will continue to take them there. I can never stop saying great things about it. Staff is lovely, stress free environment because there is a HUGE play area for the dogs. You can tell the team really cares about the dogs. Found this gem through Yelp. I had been in search of a new groomer for my pooch and was pleased with the Reviews and photos shared. My dog is not a fan of customary crate/kennels and shows signs of anxiety if there is too much commotion. The Dogg Lounge does things a little differently. They definitely make every dog feel secure, loved, and comfortable. Their set up is quite unique. They have adorable fenced in areas for dogs who prefer to be left alone. Otherwise, they are allowed to socialize if the owner is ok with it. This is the first groomer I've been to who has asked me to show proof of rabies shots and flea control medication. That was a huge plus to me. I was also pleasantly surprised that they are open on Sundays. Michelle is an incredible groomer and displays her passion in her work. She made my little Luna feel right at home. She took some time to ask questions about how I wanted my dog groomed. She reassured me that my Luna would be safe and in good hands. It took approximately three hours for the grooming session. The Dogg Lounge is very reasonably priced. And the best part was picking her up and realizing she was happy and not stressed. I've been meaning to leave a review for Michelle and the DoggLounge since we started taking maui here for about a year now. Her groomers is the best in the area. Very clean and well put together. She is very caring for your fur babies as there are no kennels here. She separates the pups in stalls with a picket fence so it gives your pup a home feel and not caged away. She even will have some playtime for the pups to mingle as they wait their turn. Maui has come home looking and smelling fresh every time. She's been understanding when Maui has bad days during his cuts. And she's been very accommodating to our schedules to get Maui in for his appt. We love it here! read more

Made an appointment for 8:00 a.m. this morning for my 14-year-old miniature dachshund. When making the appointment, we specifically agreed 8:00 a.m. to have a private session, and the owner wrote down the time we would come in. This morning, I went to drop my dog off and waited 5 minutes...10 minutes...20 minutes etc and the owner was not there. I messaged her on Instagram and I did not receive a response. After calling her this morning, she did not offer an apology and blamed it on not entering the appointment into her computer after writing it down. She just asked if we wanted to bring her back to her salon at 9 a.m. I expressed how excited we were to finally find a salon that would be a good fit for my dog, and she hung up on me. Wow. I love bringing my dogs here. I have a shipoo and a labradoodle and the care they both get here is amazing. Both my dogs get anxious but they have an open play area for the dogs to play in and helps calm the dogs down. They aren't in crates waiting for hours like some other places. The dogg lounge is amazing! After having an issue with a past groomer we decided it was time to try the dogg Lounge. After reaching out through yelp, Michelle pointed me to the online website where appointments need to be made. After setting up an appointment for the following day. Michelle took the time to ask questions throughly about what happened and why my dog was feeling scared and shaky. She took extra time to make sure he was more than comfortable and gave him an amazing cut and bath. Michelle was very responsive and quick in setting up a bath appointment for my dog, Riley. You can tell that Michelle really enjoys her job and is very friendly and caring with all the dogs. I have a twenty year old spaniel who has trouble walking. I made a point of asking that his nails be clipped to help him walk. I was told how long they had been but did not stop to check them before we left. They were not clipped and I had to get them done at my vet's office. I had him clipped and the cut was choppy.
