I have been coming to this place but ill never come here AGAIN! The people who reviewed The Doggery that say things such as "my dog loves it here" or "they're quick and painless" or "my dog comes out looking good" is all bs. How do YOU know if you're dog "loves" it here? You don't even know what goes on when they groom your dog! I always took my dog here around 12:00 in the afternoon and got her back at 5:00!! That's five long hours! The last time, I was just furious so I decided to see what they're doing to my dog to take FIVE HOURS! She was just in the freaking CAGE! They groomed her for like 30 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous... Please pay the extra money to go to a place that actually does a good job. If you love your dog, do your research and go to a groomers that ask for your dog's vaccine records and actually take 2-3 hours max to groom them. read more

This is the first time ever taking my dog to a groomer, and I have to say I was more than satisfied to trust my dog with these people. They are very friendly and affordable for my medium sized dog. My first time here for my Australian Shepherd. I'm terrible with names, so I forgot the lady's name that took care of him. But I was very pleased. Asked for a nice summer cut, which she did very well. She told me when I called to see if he was ready, that she found fleas. Before I picked him up I treated my other dog and washed all the beds. She told me to bring my flea treatment in and she would apply it for me or I could purchase some. I brought my own and she applied it. She was very affectionate and did a great job! This place does a great job on my mini schnauzer and golden lab. My lab is on the older side and they are gentle with her. Also, she sheds tremendously and they do a great job of brushing the hair out. They are friendly and the shop is clean and smells great. My boyfriend and I are co owners of our baby Kujo. My boyfriends sister is the other owner. We usually switch off every 2 weeks to take care of him. It was our weekend to have him. When his sister dropped him off, OMG his hair was so matted. I wanted to cry. We tried to get the small knots out but the big thick ones we couldn't. We decided the only thing we could do is to have his hair shaved. I didn't know which place to go to. I saw the reviews for this place and decided to try. Mind you that he is very over protective with us, I was amazed that he didn't bark or get scared when we dropped him off. It took 3 hours but felt like forever for us. He looked really good. I was really relieved when I saw him. Was a bit concerned because he had a nick on his leg but it didn't seem that bad. Over all I liked their service. I took our two terriers to The Doggery today. One had been there several times before. The other is our recent rescue who had been neglected before we adopted him and was difficult to trim. Today might actually have been his first visit to a groomer. The staff was very patient with him, and did a great job! After not hearing back from this business for 2weeks (Jane asked for a little time to get her insurance straight), I called again on this past Sunday. They were closed and there was no way to leave a message or send an email. I called back today 11/22/16 and spoke with Susan who is also an owner. didnt call me once to check on our dog. Not a very nice person at all. She says we have no proof and that my dog could have gotten hurt in my car and why did I not come back. Well Susan, I called immediately after to tell Jane and instead I decided to take my dog to the emergency vet and not back to your establishment where my dog was hurt. Also, Susan was not even there the day this happened.. How can a business not take any responsibility at all? Not even an apology. You guys are the absolute worst! DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

This review reflects my experience a while back. I took my 7 pound Chihuahua here to get his nails trimmed. As the old lady trimmed his nail he yelped and cried at every trim. I asked if he was in pain. She said "no, does it hurt when you cut your nails?" I did not appreciate her tone. Finally I couldn't stand my dog crying anymore and told her to stop. His nails were bleeding so much it stained my shirt and I had to trash it. As a new dog owner I was unaware about the dog's quick. I later learned she was cutting too short and he was in pain because she cut to close to the quick. I will never bring my dog here again and I suggest you do the same. This place was completely horrible. I made an appointment for my miniature long haired dachshund to get a haircut, bath, and nails trimmed. However my main reason for going there was for the haircut, the rest of the services were a plus. I received a phone call in the middle of the day and one of the associates stated that they were unable to give my dog a haircut. Their excuse was my dog was out-of-control. My dog is a miniature dachshund who is very well trained and only weighs 7 pounds. While on the phone with the associate she gave me the following excuses to why she couldn't give my dog a haircut: 1. We were unable to control him. - My dog weighs only 7 pounds and is a miniature dog. It's mind boggling how you couldn't control him. Plus I did tell them it was his first time every getting a hair cut. 2. He is a puppy, therefore he is too young. - My dog is 8 months old and I am pretty sure that is old enough to get a hair cut. 3. She then said he is so small. (Referring to being a puppy) - Once AGAIN he is a miniature dachshund. He will always remain small. Don't go there!! read more

The experience here was absolutely terrible!!! I thought I'd give it a shot since our usual groomer had left Petco and we were on a hunt for a new doggy groomer. When I made an appointment over the phone, the lady who happens to be the owner, seemed very friendly. I drop off my dog and the older grey-haired lady from the back comes to the front, roughly grabs my dog, looks at my dog and gives me a dirty look and starts telling me in a demeaning tone how to take care of my dog!! She had no idea as to how often she was bathed, and isn't that exactly why I brought her to the groomer which is to be groomed?!!! After my 7-year old Lhasa Apso's appointment, all seemed well. I requested some Frontline drops afterwards, which the owner (asian lady) applied herself. She actually applied it on my dogs back which can easily be licked. Not only that, but she applied way too much. As this was going on, I wasn't aware that what she was doing was wrong and that if licked, the dog would immediately turn ill. I trusted she knew what she was doing since she is after all, the owner. I thought in that moment my dog was going to be perfectly fine, but she was immediately depressed and aggressive as soon as we left the Doggery. I had no idea why she was acting like that to me and the rest of my family. By the next day, she was vomiting and still was not at all eating. I brought her back the next morning and the owner was apologetic, however the older lady in the back with glasses was ABSOLUTELY EVIL and DISRESPECTFUL. I was apalled!! I just asked for my dog to be washed and the older grey-haired lady said, "Ohhhhh, come on! Let's just hurry up and get that dog in the back and wash it down before it dies in front of it's owner!" Not only did she say that, but she was still incredibly bossy and ironically telling us how to take care of our dog even when they messed up to begin with!!!! Please dog owners, DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. That place has left me horrified and I don't even want to imagine how they may treats the dogs when we owners aren't around. read more

Brought them in right away, as requested. 2pm came and we had no call so we decided to stop in to check and see if they were done. I'm so sad! I wanted to really like this place. The owner was super nice and friendly, and clearly loves dogs. But after having my Shih-Tzu spend 6 1/2 (yes... 6 1/2!) hours there, she came a bloody mess because one of her toenails got clipped too short. The owners owns shih-tzus as well, so I would expect her to have a little more caution in cutting her toenails. Her haircut was little too short, but she smells lovely and I've never seen her fur whiter. Will try another place. read more

We have been to the Doggery now about 5 or 6 times after having tried out a few groomers in the area. I prefer to keep my poodle mix's fur longer and they have always done a good job of brushing him out and keeping him adorable. Groomers in the past always wanted to shave him. If you have a long haired breed I recommend them. Always very nice too. read more

I have a Shih-Tzu and I've always had my dog groomed at Petco. They always charge me an arm and a leg for my medium size dog. And then I'm always never happy with the result. So, I checked Yelp to find a better dog groomer. The Doggery is near my house so I checked it out. This is the place to have your pet groomed. The two ladies were nice and very accommodating. Pricing is $15-20 less than what Petco usually charges me. I'm very happy with their service and so is my dog. read more

My dog hates going to the Vet or the groomers, but when dog doesn't like going to get poked and prodded. Beauty is painful sometimes. We love it here. The attendants are great. I used to love this place. Jane has been grooming my dogs for at least 8 years & i never had a problem until recently when one of my dogs got skinned on her neck. Whoever shaved her hair skinned her so bad that my dog got really infected. The worst part is they covered it with bandana. For 8 years they have been putting vows on their hair & all of a sudden they put a bandana. My mistake is it did not cross my mind to check until 2 days after when my dog start acting weird. She gets nightmare at night and hides under my bed. This is when i check her, removed the bandana and discover what happened to her. We contacted jane the following morning & to my surprise she tried to blame it on us. When she knows for a fact that my dogs are very well taken cared of at home. Then she told us to bring the dog to her vet & as expected it was a korean vet who just said that he cant tell me whats the cause of the infection when he can clearly see that the neck was skinned so badly. To sum it up she swears that its not their doing but offered to groom my dogs for free next time i bring them back to her. Is she for real? She expect me to bring my dogs back to her when she clearly does not care and would lie just to save her business from lawsuit. No thank you. I may be just one customer but if she continue this practice all of you who loves her will be just like me. Leaving her very disappointed. read more

This is a great place to take your pooches. The folks there are very friendly and it is obvious that they like animals. My poodle mixes are very uneasy whenever they visit the vet and the groomers and was very impressed that one of the groomers tried to put one of my dogs at ease. Both my puppies love to roll around in the dirt and are pretty feisty. Somehow the ladies that work there are able to tame my little tazmanian devils and make them look amazing. They are muttls and the ladies there make them look like show dogs. Keep up the great work ladies! We are such a fan of your work and dedication. read more

DEPENDS... FOR US, IT WAS MOSTLY PRETTY DECENT I'm puzzled by the wide-ranging opinions on the service they received at this groomery. For us, it was mostly pleasant. I'm a regular customer here. My dog is a Miniature Poodle, about 15 lbs. My request is simple: a simple lamb/kennel cut--even coat, shaved head and feet, top knot on head and tail. This cut doesn't take a lot of intricate work except at the paws, where the hair between the webs and pawpads grow wild. The result is good. You get some random pinch of hair here and there, quite minor, and they don't usually do that GREAT of a job for the paws, but it was a tough area and it was good enough. I can come home and leave his paws alone for 3 weeks. My dog never got injured. I'm not dog-show picky, and for a $35 cut (plus whatever gratuity you wish to extend to them) I couldn't ask for more. read more
