I just want to once again let the community know how great this salon is . She's always so great to take either of my pups for a cleaning . She offers dental brushing and other services as well . I even think she has daily boarding. It's her and her daughter and sometimes her husband . Great Latina family that provides the best of care to my fur babies . What terrible service. I don't think the workers understand that people have their own lives outside of picking up their dog. If they tell you to pick your dog up at noon, you can expect either a 3pm pickup or a 10:30am pickup with them yelling at you to hurry up or they're charging a late fee. Giving them 2 stars because our first experience with them was fantastic. HOWEVER, they had only cut around her face and sanitary areas then. The second time..... I made it clear that I didn't want a lot taken off... my pup had about 2 1/2 - 3 inches of puppy fur. The guy said "medium cut" and I said the less you take off the better and he kept saying medium so eventually I said okay after he kept disregarding my wishes. I come back 5 hours later (even when they only did her face and sanitary areas it was 5 hours) to see my pup SHAVED. There's not even an inch of hair on her. This is not what we wanted or agreed on. They of course had us pay & tip before we could see the hack job. I'll post 2 before photos and 2 after photos below. They clearly don't know how to trim doodles. (We have a Cavapoo). Alright. So... I've been to this place twice now and it's been great. Schroeder comes out soft, shiny, and clean, and has had the cutest bandana on both times. The best part is that although he doesn't like getting groomed, he doesn't get scared to go inside and seems to really like the guys that are grooming him. Also it's not a bad price for everything he gets done: $34 for a bath with conditioning, nail trimming, teeth and ear cleaning, and anal glands expressed. I brought my baby in for a bath and cut about 2 weeks ago. On that day it took them about 5 hours later to finally call me and let me know he was ready. I called at the 4 hour mark because I knew it was too long but it was a holiday so I expected him to be ready by then, when I called the staff had said 1 more hour and that's when it hit the 5 hour mark. Since then he's been acting very lethargic and sensitive to touch. This is new and odd behavior which has me thinking about what was done while he was there for so long and how the staff had treated him. He is a smaller dog and is normally very energetic but he's completely changed since then. I'm worried af that they were being rough with him and traumatized him. I suggest calling in and checking on your pup when it's been too long for them to be there to make sure the staff even remembered them. Will not be taking him back because he has never acted like this after a groom before and I no longer trust this place. If they cannot groom each dog at a reasonable time then they should not take in more clients than they can handle. Traumatizing these pups by having them be there for more than 4 hours is not worth the staff accepting more and more clients. I've waited to make this review in hopes he would get better, but he has not. I'm not sure what these people did but he is completely traumatized and showing signs of fear. We use to like going to this place until recently. First I noticed my black lab whining not wanting to go in. This is very odd for him because he loves baths and enjoy going to the groomers. I know for sure they did something for him to be that traumatize. But I still got him groomed because I didn't think much of it at the moment. We also got our German shep groomed and today we recently found wound marks on his neck from a prong collar or a deshedding tool. I know, it sounds cliché when you read "if I could put 0 stars I would" but I seriously CANNOT stress enough how awful this place was to us and our dog!! We brought our puppy here a few months back to get groomed, and when we got him back 5 1/2 hours later, he hadn't had his nails trimmed, teeth weren't brushed, and he had patches of fur missing as if they had an inexperienced employee trim his hair. To make matters worse, he was extremely aggravated at home, so much so that he bit my hand sending me to the E.R. Today, we STILL gave this place the benefit of the doubt and brought our boy here to get a simple "bath only!" After 3 1/2 hours, we arrive to get our boy and we see that he has yet again had his fur cut terribly with large patches missing and he has a gauge on his butt. We asked what happened and why he was cut when we asked for a bath only? The response: "please don't ever bring your dog back here! We can't groom him here!" We COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY TO AGREE!! This place is unprofessional, impatient, and apparently unwilling to answer a simple question as to why they couldn't do as we asked and PAID THEM TO DO!! There are sadly other bad reviews of this location that I wish I had looked at prior to bringing our boy here. Sadly, that's on me.
