Came into try their donuts, they had so many flavors to choose from! The customer service was good. I found out that all "filled" donuts, you can choose which filling goes in them. I decided on the double chocolate cake and Oreo cake donuts. The double chocolate cake donut was dry and dense, while the Oreo cake donut was light and moist but it wasn't amazing. The breakfast burrito was bland. Their food didn't excite me much. They really should focus on a handful of items and master them, instead of offering a bunch of just okay menu items. read more

Wanted to start a co-workers birthday off right, with some good donuts. So glad I gave this place a try. These donuts are some of THE BEST I have had in a long time. Beats the heck out of some major chain and supermarket donuts, for sure! I got a little bit of everything, strawberry filled, chocolate glaze, traditional glaze, cake, blueberry and all were raved about. The donuts were also equally delicious on the second day! I can't wait to go back and try the apple fritter. They were big and inviting, calling my name from the glass case. P.S. the gentleman behind the counter is very pleasant and accommodating. Oh, did The Donut House fill a void in my heart. I was craving donuts for several days and finally broke down, threw my diet out the window, and got me some yummy, freshly made fried dough. I had them delivered to my office and Donut House did not disappoint. They arrived in a beautiful dark colored box, full of flavored treats everyone quickly devoured. My favorite was the cruller, but the yeast donut dipped in chocolate made my heart skip a beat. read more

Best donuts I've had in years. Being from Los Angeles and growing up eating the yummiest donuts consistently thru-out my childhood makes it really hard for me to enjoy a donut anywhere but when visiting my place of birth, BUT NO MORE!!! I won't lie...Randy's in Los Angeles makes some VERY good donuts but if The Donut House were right next door to Randy's, I'd have to choose them at least most of the time. Fantastic--this is one of those donut places that doesn't need the gimmicks like putting fruit loops on donuts--or copious amounts of frostings for presentation. These are just good and fresh donuts. They still have unique flavors like a maple glazed (not frosted)-Bavarian cream-filled-Long John! Mmmm. The apple fritter was filled with cinnamon and apples. The outside of the fritter was crisp while the inside was soft and delicious! I along bought a dozen, and ended up eating about 4 on my own. Luckily I made friends quickly and therefore shared the rest of these sugary treats. The next day people asked "where did you get those donuts?" And I told them "the donut house". I've been craving donuts for about 2 days now and I got a coupon for a free donut in the mail so I headed to the shop. Turns out the free coupon is for Monday-Wednesday, being that today is Friday i didnt get to use it. For 8am in the morning her shelves were not full and there was an okay selection but honestly I've seen a bigger selection at my nearest grocery store. She said that they have been there for 8 years but dont have much up on the walls for decoration or product on her counters. Oh well. I purchased 4 donuts; a raspberry filled, a bearclaw, an apple fritter and a blueberry donut. The best donuts I have had in a very long time and I consider myself a donut connoisseur. As I entered the establishment I was a little skeptical. It did not look like a typical franchised donut place which made me immediately begin to inspect the place visibly for sanitary lapses. I wouldn't say it was spotless in accords to my roaming eyes but I also did not feell like I would get food poisoning after consuming the donuts. The female working was very nice and even gave me a free donut upon my purchase. I purchased the donuts and brought them back to my wife and daughter. Each of us felt the donuts were exceptional! You can tell they have been made with quality ingredients and are the best donuts I have had in a very, very long time! read more

Happened to see this place when I went to get lunch across the street. Decided to pop in and see what was going on. I hadn't planned on buying anything but the owner (I think he's the owner, anyway) was so nice I decided to grab a half dozen to take home. He even threw in 2 extras! I've only eaten one- glazed applesauce cake doughnut. YUM!!!! Considering I purchased close to closing time- this doughnut still tasted incredibly fresh (and it wasn't overly sweet). Great place. Hands down the best donut shop in Aurora. I frequently take my daughter here on Saturday mornings and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable in the art of donuts. Sometimes my daughter works her charm and scores a free donut or drink. I have been here many times and will continue to come here. read more

This place is quaint and book store coffee shop-like . It has a nice seating area and good ambience. We were on our way to take tourist/ friends on a tour of the Capitol so we stopped for a burrito and a Donut... The burrito was better than expected so I would recommend it as a good choice . The donut was larger than usual ; long john... custard filled . Very tasty . The coffee was not great , but when paired with the sweetness of the donut , it filled a spot in my diet that morning :) Im sure they will improve their selection and service over time , it seemed like they had just opened as a new business. So so so glad they opened this place! There isn't a donut shop that's closer to my house than them, which is super convenient. The first time I went in I had laryngitis and had NO voice at all. The guy at the counter carefully listened to me and took my order perfectly, which was probably super hard to do considering I literally had NOOO voice what so ever! He was super kind and even told me to feel better as I was leaving. Now let's get to what matters, the donuts of course! They were HUGE! And baked to perfection. I love raised donuts, and these were best in the city for plain glazed and chocolate frosted raised donuts! Yum yum yum! I will be back!!! read more

I was disappointed when I went in. I had been wanting a donut all day the previous day, so when morning rolled around I ran over to the donut house. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman, but the windows outside advertise espresso drinks when they do not serve them. The hot coffee I did get has a very weird taste to it. I had a few donuts in mind that I wanted that I had seen on their website, and about 3 of the ones I wanted they did not have either. The donuts I did get did taste good, but felt old, a little too chewy or crunchy, which is disappointing since I went at 7 am. read more

Awful customer service. I purchased two dozen assorted regular donuts, which are $13 per dozen on their price board. I tried to pay with a credit card, and the lady said that she only felt like taking cash that day because credit card fees were too high. Seriously? So, I pulled out $30 in cash since $13x2 + ~8% tax would be about $28. Nope. She said the total was nearly $35, so I was well short. What??? And I had no luck getting the price to be corrected. That'll be the last time I visit this shop. read more

And then to my surprise when I got home and opened up the box..... I got 11 donuts when I paid for 12. Next time I need to curb my donut craving I think I'll go somewhere else. read more

My family and I used to go to the location on Parker, and Omar was always amazing with his customer service and fresh donuts. Today my husband visited the location off chambers and took my 4 year old son. My son dropped all the donuts and they immediately replaced them! Customer for life now! Please try them, even if the selection is low they are so fresh and they care about you here. read more

Go to Donut spot, easy parking and cute spacious interior. Perfect for a quick drop in. Woman working made the visit 1000 times better, she's sweet and funny. She threaten to throw a donut at my boyfriend (jokingly)if he didn't try one and it made my day. We got the creme filled, cinnamon, strawberry, Oreo and maple. All amazing. I was craving GOOD donuts but didn't want to drive all the way downtown to my favorite shop. This place's website promised some delightful equivalents so I loaded up the family with good expectations. I was disappointed. The only thing in the case were run-of-the-mill doughnuts with run-of-the-mill taste. There wasn't even a place in their case for any the "legends" they highlight on their webpage. Our doughnuts weren't boxed, but instead, shoved into a small bag. By the time we got them home, the maple and chocolate toppings were stuck to the bag, not the doughnuts. The family thinks we should try another location some other time. We'll see. read more

Stopped by today for a donut and was blown away by the extra-friendly service. After taking out our donuts, we decided to stop and enjoy them on the patio outside. Without prompting, when the counter worker noticed we had stayed, she immediately brought us not only plates and napkins -- but complimentary bottled water and cups -- while inviting us to "relax and enjoy." Every day my boss would bring in a box of these selective doughnuts that would rock your day away! I fell in love right away, and chose to continue to eat this places doughnuts for life. They're more tasteful than the King Soopers bakery but nonetheless they are both good spots to choose doughnuts. I really enjoy their simple glazed doughnut and chocolate round doughnut as well. Stop in the Castle Rock Donut House this morning to pick up 2 doz Cro holes for work, everyone here raves about them! Well, I was a little disappointed to find what seems to be a couple of day old cro holes mixed in with the ones fried this morning. You can definitely taste the difference between a fresh and day old, my next trip in I will make sure to let them know I prefer the fresh cro holes, if I'm paying full price I expect to get to what I paid for and that is fresh ones. read more

We went at about 9am on a Sunday morning hoping to get donuts and coffee. Even though the store front advertises espresso drinks they apparently don't make them. There was a very small selection of doughnuts, with none being particularly innovative or attractive. The kicker came when I asked for an apple fritter and the woman behind the counter said "OK but they might be a bit small, we pulled them out of the freezer." So I get to pay $2.25 for an old frozen donut? Thanks! The rest were decent but no better than I could have gotten at a grocery store. What a great place! The storefront looks small but it's super spacious inside! Comfy chairs and tasty treats! Really enjoyed our donuts (didn't try the coffee this go-around). The young man and the woman working there were friendly. They added a couple of donut holes to my bag which was a nice little treat while I waited for my burrito. You get a full breakfast with this burrito. It was packed with eggs, potato, bacon and cheese. The combined flavors were delicious together. Sometimes, I don't prefer bigger burritos because I might get a bite of only dry potato. This burrito was full of flavor with each bite. They give you a side of green salsa which I didn't try because it was at the bottom of the bag and I didn't know it was there. Next time I will add it! And, the croissant donut - YUM! It was light, fluffy, sprinkled with sugar to add a little sweetness. The layers of the croissant and airy glazed donut melt in your mouth. The parking situation can be a little tricky when visiting for the first time, but I found that there is also parking on the south side of the building.

I got the cardamom bun latte. I was expecting more spiced flavor, I didn't really get that. While I wouldn't get that same drink again, I got this donut cake pastry that was absolutely phenomenal. It was like biting into a cloud, and the bottom was dusted with a cinnamon sugar which elevated the plain cake. It had a decadent chocolate glaze that was so delicious. I wish it would have been a bit thicker but all in all it was very scrumptious. For that donut cake alone I would definitely come back.

And you're not going to find Maple Bacon or Cap'n Crunch. Just your traditional cake and raised donuts. But they do them right. Not too rich. Not too sweet.
