I would be lying if I said I didn't practice daily self control to stay away from this holy grail of donuts DAILY! The best donuts ever!!!!!! Maple cake, blueberry cake & apple fritter...SLAP!!! Sooooo good! Our favs!!!!!!! UPDATE** DAILY SELF CONTROL!!!!!! Beware....you WILL want them ALLL THE TIME!!!!! If you catch Basim in there making the donuts (the sweetest man ever)...the donuts taste better! He pours so much love into them....you can actually toast the difference!!!!

The doughnut craving hit again, this time Winchell's was the choice. I'll start off by saying, next time we want doughnuts THIS will be the move. The doughnuts were delicious, you could tell they were very well made and at a very decent price for what we got. The chocolate glazed had a nice crunch to it that held up even when we went back to the box for an afternoon nibble. Don't let the front fool you, it's a choice spot for your next breakfast both on the run or to bring home for the family. We will be back again!

10/13/23- This is the first place where the 3 star score is because I'm really torn on how to rate them. This is because our food experience was so opposite ends of the spectrum. The sandwiches were horrible (totally 1 star food level). Not only were they basically made out of lunch meat, there was very little on them, and they were soggy. The donuts on the other hand were great. Like the cherry fritter I had was one of the best pastries I've ever had. I will say in some of my posts that your experience is based off what you order, and here it is totally true. Don't waste your time with any of the food here except the donuts.

I found this place recently on Groupon and let me tell you, I have been pleasantly surprised! I walked in the other day, not expecting much. I mean, coming from Orlando, a lot of doughnut shops just come standard with all the frills. Probably have to in order to attract all of the tourists and keep up with the competition, but this place isn't like that. No frills, but great doughnuts! Light and airy! Best part!? A Winchell's dozen is 14 doughnuts, not 12!

This is my neighborhood donut shop. I have gone here for years. Despite its humble furnishings and appearance, it is a diamond. The quality of their donuts and coffee is only surpassed by the consistently high level of service and friendliness. I encourage everyone to stop in and experience it for themselves.

They get an extra star for the price and their hours. Open 24x7 so you can get your sweet fix any time of the day or night. When we went in around 10am they were super busy but they were well stocked. We had a Groupon, $8.50 for a dozen(14 donuts) so the price was unbeatable. I liked their cake donuts better than raised. Cake donuts were moist and crumbly on the inside while I felt the raised ones were slightly dry.

I placed my order, and she told me to go find a table and the food would be out soon. As soon as I sat down, she came out and brought me my coffee. I asked for cream and sugar, and she said it was on the counter inside. It was a giant cup of coffee (which is awesome) but it was filled to the top. So I burned my hand when I spilled it, trying to get in sugar. By this time I was very frustrated. I went back to my table and my food came up almost immediately. The server was smiling and friendly. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. Iordered almond les leches french toast, cheese grits and bacon. The greats are okay, but nothing specia but the french toast was out of this world. It was thick, cut, smoked bacon that tasted fantastic. The server and the food saved this visit for me. I am going to assume that the woman at the counter was having a bad day and not let it keep me from coming back.

The eggs are not cooked to order, those are very clearly pre-boiled eggs (Pssst, Early Bird, Boiled is NOT the same as Poached!). The biscuits were not biscuits at all, I think it was an English muffin, but either way, it was microwaved to the point it couldn't be picked up, the bread just crumbles around.
