I got a mixed dozen to bring to work and they seemed to go over pretty well! Everyone was impressed by their donuts they got and the selection. The cashier was nice enough to pick out the donuts for the mixed dozen and asked if I wanted my jalapeño sausage heated up too! I would have to say the Kloaches were better but both were good! Used to frequent here between 2023-24 then moved to South Knox and it was amazing. Would think about them from time to time, and today I answered the call and drove out and what I found was not the same. I don't know if they have different owners or what, but the quality is now that of a Weigel's donut, maybe worst honestly. So sad, it used to truly be the best in town!!! read more

Best. Donuts. Ever. I'm not much a fan of these big chain donut joints, and don't do much of that fusion stuff. Maker's Donuts was brilliant, and then this place... this hole in a wall place, where a few bucks could probably feed you for a day. Cake donuts, big ones, little ones, old fashioned, holes, sprinkles, chocolate, vanilla, filled, plain, glorious cinnamon rolls, and then they got these croissant bacon, ham, egg and cheese sammiches. The Donut Palace just open today, they had a huge crowd of people waiting to eat some amazing fresh baked donuts. I was hoping since they open today that they would have offer a special on their donuts or given each customer a coupon. This location is finally open! There is a nice selection of cake and yeast donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and they offer coffee, milk, and bottled drinks (soda and water). It's counter service and they have a few tables and barstools to sit inside, but it is mostly for take out. I got a croissant breakfast sandwich and a chocolate twist yeast donut. This area of Knoxville has been in need of a quick breakfast spot, especially one that opens up before 6 A.M. every day. For the price and quality, The Donut Palace is going to do well. The donuts are made fresh every day/morning. Please keep in mind this isn't a Krispy-Kreme, there is no "hot light". So the donuts you eat may be at room temperature, but that's why the microwave was invented. And guess what, they have one in the store. These donuts are also much larger(and cheaper)in comparison to DD or KK. I purchased some donuts and a breakfast croissant sandwich, along with some coffee. They automatically heat up all the sandwiches and Kolaches, so if you don't want anything warmed up, let them know. For 5 dollars, you aren't going to find a better value breakfast. I think this will be my go-to donut dive from now on. I will end with a comment on the customer service. The employees there are extremely friendly and even prepare your coffee with any sugar, creamer, or flavoring you want. They are incredibly efficient at taking orders. They have multiple people working the counter. Do not be worried if there is a line, they will get to you shortly. Job well done to them, and I hope this place has many years of patronage. read more

I must have come on an off day, Sunday morning 8:30.... not busy, a few customers. First all donuts were cold, not room temp but chilled. They warmed up a pig in a blanket in a microwave and my strawberry cake donut was cold as were all other donuts. My donut was .... soggy? And cold so I didn't finish it. My dads glazed donut seemed underdone and yes cold.... 1/2 dozen donuts and a microwaved pig in a blanket.... nothing finished. Was excited to try and was planning on taking a dozen to work the following day but afraid of doing so because of what I received on Sunday. read more

If you haven't found your way to this little shop yet, you might like to do so soon. This shop has the nicest, freshest pastries and doughnuts you might ever enjoy in Knoxville. During the pandemic we have shifted our habits in favor of small, local shops and these folks are so pleasant and friendly you just want to see they do well.
