Sitting on the corner of Selby and Milton, just east of Lexington is a great little ice cream shop that is a hidden gem. We were coming from the south side of town and we drove past Nelson's and the line was out the door. It was crazy. I suggested two scoops and off we went. We got there 20m's before closing and the line was minimal. I ended up with banana cream and the lady who was scooping's favorite split single. It was tasty and the service was friendly. We ended up sitting outside on some Adirondack chairs enjoying the evening. I have not had the dogs or pizza yet but they look and sound delicious. Plus, if you are ever in a pinch for a pie for a holiday or family event, think of this place too. They are made fresh! The cutest ice cream shop in the heart of St Paul owned by locals Brian and Coco who were serving up ice cream and wonderful service tonight. They started this venture right after COVID started so it's nice to see the place thriving and busy on a Friday evening. Lots of seating options inside to grab a table or sit on a stool and peer outside the window. Not only do they have ice cream but they also have some food including hotdogs and pizza. This is a new establishment that just celebrated it's first anniversary of opening in May. Congratulations on your first anniversary! The set up of the place is pretty cool. They offer food, drinks, desserts and ice cream. They have an #onlyinmn ice cream flavor of blue moon. This place was listed as participating in the MN Scoop summer treats. When we got there during dinner time, it was quite busy. They had about 4-5 staff working. It was our first time and we weren't sure on protocol of one staff member help a family or just any guest not being waited on at the time. It was chaotic at times. They had a little library section to the right of the entrance as you walk in for kids to have a free book and there were drawstring bags available for free I believe for the kids to carry their books. They have about 4-5 tables inside for dining. Otherwise, there's a four-person seating set up outside their shop with a little garden. Overall, ice cream was good, good portion and comparable pricing. Their homemade waffle cones and bowls are delectables! They had very creative flavors and let us have ample samples as we narrowed down the difficult decision of what to get. Their banana cream pie ice cream was amazing! I was shocked to see this hidden gem opening its doors close to where I live. When you go inside because of covid there are plastic plates hanging from the ceiling keeping customers at a safe distance which I thought was pretty creative. We came when they were closing so we didn't get to try the pizza but I heard it's delicious. I had two scoops of rainbow sherbet, and my girlfriend had had chocolate ice cream on a waffle cone and they were both great. They make their own waffle cones and they are delicious. They also have the regular cake cones for those that don't like waffle cones. The line was long, but the staff were very efficient so we got out in a timely manner.
