    Ice cream sundae

I went to school at Como Park Senior High and Conny's Creamy Cone is located just a few blocks away so it was always a favorite amongst my friend group. Now as an adult I still love the nostalgic feel of the corner stand. They serve classic ice cream treats (sundaes, banana splits, etc) soft serve ice cream and classic grill food. Everything is ordered to go and there are a few tables and benches outside to enjoy your treats! They have a wide variety of flavors and are very reasonably priced!

Yesterday was National Ice Cream Day, so I had to drop by somewhere. This place is walking distance from my house, so I dropped in. To try something. There were so many options, I changed my mind at least 5 times before getting to the front. The small business feel is very nice, and there's plenty of parking on the street, even though their lot is a bit small. It was really nice seeing all the people come out to enjoy the food and weather. In the end I got a s'mores medium mixer, and it was delicious. I told myself I'd only eat half and freeze the rest, but I couldn't stop until it was gone!

What an absolute gem! I've been swinging by Conny's for years, and it's a good marker of springtime when they open for the season. It's my favorite treat after a walk around Como Lake. They're known for their variety of soft serve flavors which I highly recommend trying (have a coin flip ready to break any indecisiveness). I also recommend paying in cash to avoid the credit card fee (it's a small business, y'all) and grabbing a bag of cheese curds to go with your ice cream! The service is always great though it can get busy which slows things down. Their parking lot surrounding the hut has about 8 spots so you might need to park on the street. There is no indoor space for customers but there are benches and a couple picnic tables. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Good luck choosing!

Stop here when you need a sweet treat in the St. Paul area! Made to order everything! Lots of soft serve ice cream flavors in addition to so many other menu options. Beware it's very popular so it can be busy. The line can wrap around the building but ITS WORTH THE WAIT!

My sister and I were in the mood for ice cream and we decided to visit Conny's. The line was semi long but moved fairly fast and I was able to look over the menu. The have ice cream, floats, and some food like cheese curds and mini corn dogs. I decided to get the s'mores flurry this time, I wanted to try something new and enjoy anything s'mores flavored. I will be visiting again to try some more new items to me. They have a few nice tables outside and a few benches to sit on and enjoy your ice cream.

I love this place so much!!! I live pretty far away but whenever I'm in town I always make sure to find time to stop by Conny's even if it's out of the way it's a must!! Such a classic vintage vibe with great food and for ice cream there are SO MANY flavor options there is literally something for everyone. The staff have always been very nice and provide great service. They also have great prices! I've brought multiple friends and family members here and they've all loved it! Highly recommend stopping by during their open season I promise you won't regret it!

This spot should be on everyone's Saint Paul summer bucket list! Known for their wide ranging flavors of soft-serve, they also have summer classics like burgers and cheese curds. I went for the cherry-dipped chocolate waffle cone with crunch on this visit, and it was great. The soft-serve definitely errs on the side of "soft," so plan to eat it fairly immediately at one of their outdoor picnic tables. It's walk-up service, and it can be tough to order or hear your order being called, so know what you want ahead of time and stay close once you've ordered. It's also worth noting that prices have increased--a lot--since just a few years back, but that's true of everywhere. All-in-all though, this is a place to hit!

This ice cream was delicious! Totally worth waiting in line. We also got the cheese curds and Mac and Cheese bites, which were also fantastic! The shop is old and could use some love. However, prices were fair, and everything was so great. We will be back for sure to try all of the other flavors. They have their own parking lot, but it was full. Therefore, we parked up the street. But street parking was free and easy to find. It also was not too far away. There are not many places to sit. But they do have two tables and a bench.

Nothing beats comfy, local, and sweet people! Small portions but worth the love and yum

I've discovered a great ice cream destination that apparently was a hidden secret from me for 35+ years. Located near Como Lake in St. Paul is Conny's Creamy Cones! This is a historic place that apparently flew under my radar for far too long! Let's just say 24 flavors of soft serve! Yes, 24! Plus every iteration of how to enjoy said ice cream. Then add on burgers, fries and more. Don't forget the prices are from a bygone era. How do they do it?! I had a peanut butter cup flurry. It was tasty maybe not as jam packed as a DQ blizzard but I still enjoyed it and emptied the cup. I look forward to sampling their grill and fried items in the future and am glad to know I am just 15 mins away from this local gem.

We love it here! Such a great variety of soft serve- so far I've tried to cheesecake and cake batter, both were great! Very limited seating, but such a great summer spot.

Simply delicious soft serve at Connie's Creamy Cone! They have an insane amount of soft serve flavors so you can try something new every time you visit. There was a line but service is fast and efficient, making the line move way quicker than I thought it would be. We got a vanilla cone and a crunch cone which was the perfect end to a hot day in May! The crunch was a great topping to my vanilla cone- it's peanuts and sprinkles and ever since DQ got rid of it, Connie's is the only place I know of that still serves it. Reminds me of my childhood and it tastes so good! In addition to traditional ice cream fare such as sundaes, cones, and shakes, they also have a food menu with items like burgers and fries. They do have a few picnic tables but seating is limited so most people either stand to eat or take it to go. We will be back to try more delicious and affordable treats!

There are so many flavor choices that there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. Cons: the menu is slightly confusing. No sundaes (I don't believe?) and how to order and how many mix ins are not very clear unless you ask the question. They need a "how to" board for placing an order or a better description of what things are. Mix ins are charged by item after the first one (although not marked as such). Service is spotty and orders are not filled in the order they are received. Half our party was done before the other half of the group of 6 was served. Seating is limited and dirty. Price is ok....a little on the high side. Overall, I would return but not sure if it would be often. Just glad to have this as an option in the neighborhood.

I took a photo of the hours so they are clear. I tried the butterscotch sprinkler for my first time. I'm a huge ice cream lover and have had my fair share of ice cream. I honestly thought the soft serve was pretty bland and the same was true for the butterscotch drizzle. I thought maybe my allergies were to blame, but my partner tried it and agreed that it was very bland. I'm willing to try something different in the future to see if it was one off. I think their prices are pretty fair compared to other locations.

The portions are huge, which definitely helps justify the stop. The ice cream itself wasn't the highest quality I've had, but the generous serving size helps make up for that. The only downside for me was the overall setup. It didn't feel especially welcoming, there's no indoor seating, and no bathroom, so it's definitely more of a quick grab-and-go stop.
