We recently hired Camerado Glass to replace all of the original aluminum-frame windows in our office building with new vinyl retrofit windows featuring Low-E glass, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial measuring appointment to ordering and installation, the turnaround time was impressively quick. They replaced all 13 windows in just two days, even though many of our windows were difficult to access. One thing that really stood out was that the owner, Lawrence, was on-site throughout the project to make sure everything was done right and that we were completely satisfied. He had his crew take the time to even do some touch-up painting around the windows, which we really appreciated. We were also very grateful that they accommodated our use of the scissor lift they rented. The entire crew was friendly, professional, and respectful of our property. They did an excellent job cleaning up all of the vinyl shavings and debris after the installation. The quality of the new windows is outstanding, and after shopping around, Camerado Glass also came in with the best price. I was referred to Michael by the contractor I hired to replace two patio sliders. The plan was to order them from Camerado Glass and my contractor was going to do the install. This decision was due to Camerado Glass' cash payment discount. I already knew exactly what doors I wanted. The long story follows, but here is the short one incase you don't want to read it all: Michael is completely disorganized, can't remember anything and lacks professionalism. He has lost my business for this job and any other, which is too bad because we plan on replacing all the windows next summer. Long story: Week 1- Took the measurements from my contractor to Camerado glass and told him which doors I wanted to order. During my visit Michael seemed preoccupied with something else, not really giving me his full attention at any time. There was confusion about the measurements, so we figured it was best to have him talk to my contractor about them directly. Before I left he told me once the measurements are figured out, I needed to come back to put a credit card on file as a form of deposit before he ordered the doors since I planned on paying cash to receive the discount. He took my email address and told me he would keep in touch. Week 2- Michael and my install contractor came to an agreement on the measurements for the doors. Everything going on track so far. Week 3- Went back to Camerado Glass to confirm which doors we were ordering and to give him my credit card information like he asked the first time I went in. As we were talking about the doors, he informed me he made sure to order them with the special locks we talked about last time. Ummmmm......I never said anything about special locks. He told me yes, I showed them to you on the floor model and you said they would be nice because of your 2 year old daughter. I informed him I do not have any kids. Gee, I guess you're right, must have been someone else. No biggie, now I tried to give him my credit card info. He told me he didn't need the credit card. He would order them and email me the invoice. Since I never received any emails from him after the first visit, I had him check the email address I gave him. He didn't have an email address even though I gave it to him the first time. Gave it to him again. Asked him if we were good and he said yes, I would receive a phone call in 4-6 weeks from the delivery truck and I would pay upon delivery. Perfect, my contractors are scheduled 7 weeks from now. Everything is timing ok, just a few miscommunications along the way so far. Week 9- It has been 6 weeks since my last visit and so far no phone call from the Milgard delivery truck. Contractor is scheduled for next weekend, so I decided to call Camerado Glass to see what's up. He had no recollection of my order. Told him a few more details to jog his memory. At last he informed me he never ordered them because I didn't sign the invoice. Dude, I was in your shop twice in person, why would you email me an invoice that I had to sign when I was standing right in front of you and then never tell me that I had to sign it? He swears he told me and that he never said that he needed the credit card information like we had talked about the first time. Says the only thing he needed was a signature on the invoice. Again, why not have me sign it when I was there in person? So now I have contractors scheduled to come over, but no doors. During my visits he never took down any notes other than the measurements and my email. Probably why he thought I wanted special locks. Constantly would disappear for 5 minutes at a time in the middle of a conversation to go "take care of something" or answer the phone. I can understand having to multitask, but this was a bit excessive and at least write something down so you can remember what I am ordering. Also, when you own a business and you screw up this badly, you should apologize at the very least. Instead I received no apology, just him arguing that he never told me any of these things. read more

Oval glass inlay fell out of door. Placerville glass gave us the run-around and displayed a general disinterest in helping us fix our door. Happened upon Camerado Glass who went above and beyond our expectations. After looking for over six months, no one was any help.
