Saturday Brunch with the W.I.V.E.S Group. Upon arrival I was greeted well by the hostess and seated with my group. I love Caribbean cuisine and this Jamaican restaurant did not disappoint. I had the Jamaican National dish which is Ackee combined with saltfish accompanied by boiled provisions as they call it which was plantain, dumplings and yams. They have fresh juices so I ordered the Lemon Ginger Juice. I also had the bread fruit which was delicious. All of the ladies enjoyed their meals as well. Nothing was left on our plates lol. Thank you to our waiter who was very attentive. We had a wonderful time today!

I am writing to express my disappointment with a takeout order I purchased from your restaurant today. I ordered the ackee and saltfish for pickup, but by the time I arrived home, oil had spilled all over the bag. The dish itself contained an excessive amount of oil, and the packaging was not sufficient for a takeout order of this nature. I highly recommend utilizing better, leak-proof packaging for these specific types of dishes in the future to prevent this from happening to other customers. I was quite disappointed, which is unusual because I have never had a bad dine-in experience during my previous visits. Overall, your food is great, but this recent occasion did not live up to that standard.

The food here is amazing! Our service was very good as well! I've heard of this restaurant for quite some years and finally happy I got to experience it. All the flavors were there in everything I ate. I ordered a large bowl of mannish water soup and it was so delicious! I only wished I got more spinners less yam but I'll be sure to let them know next time! The oxtail and the fish were so tasty as well. My friends and I enjoyed our meals. The rum punch is not for the weak... lots of rum! Be prepared lol! The restaurant itself needs a fresh coat of white paint to update and revitalize the interior of the restaurant. It's a bit outdated in its look and so just doing the white paint in the sit down part of the restaurant would brighten up the restaurant. We had a good overall experience and would get food from here again!

Delicious fresh food. Authentic Jamaican breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also amazing drinks. Be prepared to wait awhile. You don't get to order and get your food right away. It's always a 20 to 25 minutes wait. But the food is delicious and fresh.

I did takeout here in the early afternoon of Sunday, 11/9/25. I ordered the Roasted Beef (Sunday special) with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains; a chicken patty, and a slice of black cake with icing. The roast beef was tender, but it was a tad too salty. The cabbage had green peas mixed in, which enhanced its flavor. The rice and peas and plantains were okay. The curry chicken patty was perfectly seasoned with a velvety filling, and the crust was soft, buttery and flaky. I will be back one day soon to get more chicken patties to bring to work for lunch. The black cake was rich, dense, moist--with intense rum flavor. It reminded me of the ones served at weddings and Christmas when I was growing up in a West Indian household. My order was ready in about 18 minutes despite three people ahead of me, waiting for theirs. Nicashay was the cashier, and she did a good job handling multiple orders for the Sunday dinner crowd. The interior was clean and tidy despite the heavy traffic.

Ordered lunch from here recently and decided to try the curry chicken dish since I've never had it from here. It was actually quite good, but my only issue was that they don't include curry potatoes with their curry chicken dishes. I've noticed that most Jamaican restaurants do NOT add potatoes to their curry entrees. So if you're like me and you like potatoes included in your curry meals, then stick with Trini and Guyanese restaurants if you're in a curry mood..!! I do LOVE that they have plain brown rice & brown rice with peas as an option! (At an additional fee, of course.) So if you're watching your diet like I am, you don't have to dread ordering white rice with your meal! I wish more restaurants would start adding brown rice to their menu!!

I been coming to The Door for years. Delicious well season Jamaican dishes and drinks. I use to come faithfully on Sunday for their brunch. I fell in love with their pineapple Ginger juice. I enjoy their salmon and oxtail and rice and peas. Service is excellent dining in and whenever your placing an order over the phone. Very professional. I order 4 gallons of the Pineapple ginger juice. And received complimentary cornbread. Thank you to the amazing hard working staff. Clean spacious restaurant

Really good Jamaican Food! I ordered Uber eats and was not disappointed. My salt fish with rice was on point. I ate it all up. The strawberry cheesecake my daughter loved it! Mac and cheese was delicious as well. The chicken soup was good and is on the spicy side. OMG the Rum cake is like sex in your mouth! I am telling you it was soaked in rum and tasted so delicious. Feels like you seriously took a shot of rum - my tongue burned a bit. Please get the Rum Cake!!!!! This Jamaican food man oh man. I have come to the conclusion the more sexual an ethnic race is the better the food. I love Jamaican Food and Dominican food for a reason they know how to cook and season their food with love. I said what I said and I know good food - I would order from here again in a heartbeat!

Went to celebrate some friends/colleagues that retired. It was lovely to have a reunion with good people and good vibes. They choose the all you can eat Sunday brunch. I didn't have much option as a non meat eater. The fish was too hard for me to chew and no other seafood or non meat option. I plan to return and order from the regular menu. I appreciated the Caribbean all you can eat menu, I just wished I could have more options for eaters/foodies like myself. Until next time! *This is another late entry lol.

Good spot for Jamaican food. Ratings: Chicken soup 9/10 Savory broth with mild spice and fresh chicken including well prepared chicken feet, falling off the bone. Oxtail 8/10 Slow cooked, soft, covered in sauce. They give you full sized pieces. Fried chicken 8/10 Taste like homemade fried chicken. Fresh and nicely browned. Mac and cheese 8/10 Baked crust on top, filled with melted cheese. Not spiced or seasoned inside. Rasta pasta 8/10 Big pasta pieces with veggies and creamy sauce. Not spiced Garlic shrimp 7/10 Not sure about the garlic part but it's decent shrimp.

When we arrived to the restaurant, I was pleased that it was quite spacious! Rather than ordering cocktails, I ordered a refreshing lemon & ginger homemade juice and my brother enjoyed the sorrel. For starters, we ordered tasty crab cakes and akee & salt fish spring rolls. For dinner, we both opted for seafood. I ordered the Salmon "Run Down" which was in a coconut sauce accompanied by carrots (which were undercooked), cauliflower and broccoli. I wish the sauce wasn't so thick but it was overall it was good. My brother enjoyed his honey jerk salmon but thought the sauce was a bit sweet. We both ordered garlic mash on the side and it was too dry.

The door has been on my list of restaurants and I finally went and I will say it was definitely worth the wait. The customer service was definitely on point. From the entrance to the entire time dining. The food was fresh and everything taste amazing. I even placed a to go order for my husband and son and they said that this was the best Rasta pasta and salmon that they have ever had. The restaurant has a large bar area and the dining area is large also comfortable seating. It was my birthday weekend and they sang happy birthday and the cake was also delicious.

Great spot for a quick lunch or dinner.

When you walk in for the lunch or dinner rush, the sheer volume of options hits you immediately. The protein lineup alone is a masterclass in variety, covering every angle from deeply smoky jerk chicken, BBQ, and rich brown stew to curry goat, tender pork, and pristine fish like porgie and red snapper. It's supported by an endless array of staples--perfectly executed rice and peas, clean white rice, green bananas, and sweet, caramelized plantains. There is quite literally too much to list, but the execution remains remarkably high across the board. The staff keeps the line moving with a pleasant, welcoming energy, and while the legendary Jamaican breakfast menu remains uncharted territory for me, the dinner rotation alone makes this place an automatic favorite. Food (4/5): A massive victory for variety and flavor. To pull off this many traditional Caribbean proteins--from oxtail and curry to perfectly fried fish--and keep them all consistently tender and deeply seasoned at a buffet scale is a serious achievement. Decor (3.25/5): Unpretentious, functional, and clean. It's a space built for high-volume neighborhood traffic where the visual focus is kept exactly where it belongs: on the food. Customer Service: The staff is consistently warm, patient, and efficient, maintaining a welcoming neighborhood vibe even when the counter gets absolutely slammed. Price: Around $15 per person. For a heavy, high-quality, fill-your-plate to the brim ..... Caribbean feast in this day and age, the value here is completely unmatched.

It is in the parking lot of Walmart/Home Depot but closer to the BJ's side. The wait was a bit long to order the food. They have a great ordering system in that they have a megaphone to call out your receipt number. I had a bit of a wait to receive my food. I initially went for corn soup and I should have just stopped ordering right there. The corn soup was very tasty. I didn't care for the dumplings that they had in it though. I poured pepper in my soup and it was real nice. I should have gotten two soups. I got an aloo pie with channa, pepper, tamarind, mango, cucumber, and chadon beni. This could have used more flavor, which is surprising, especially with all of the toppings on it. I got bake and saltfish with tamarind and pepper. I truly did not like or enjoy this at all. I took one bite and knew I shouldn't eat anymore. I took another bite to be sure and after that bite decided to just take my L and throw it all out. The saltfish was rubbery, at room temperature, and it tasted off. The bake itself seemed like it would taste okay but it was soggy and soaking in liquid. I literally opened this shortly after getting it so i don't know how the bake could be so soggy. I would not recommend the bake and saltfish at all. The aloo pie is okay but it wasn't giving what it needed to give. However, the corn soup was delicious. Def go for the corn soup.
