I've sat down at the bar in The Draft five times now since I made the attached Concord Casino a stop on my monthly poker tournament trips to New Hampshire. I'm there not long after opening and have a beer or two while waiting for the tournament to begin. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and the decor is simple but very attractive. Add in the numerous televisions showing various sporting events, and it is just what a sports back should be. :) Until my visit a week or so ago I had never eaten there but upon reading the menu my eyes stopped on the grilled hot dogs. I asked the nice young man tending bar if the rolls were grilled as well. Buttered rolls toasted on the grill were common when I was growing up in the 1960s, but I hadn't seen them in years. He said that the rolls were toasted. They were delicious! (I think that next time I'm going to ask if they can grill the rolls. :) ) I'm sure that the other selections of regular "pub food" they offer are just as tasty. Based upon my experience I can say that The Draft's staff are LGBT friendly, and treated me very well. Most of the parking is on the street, with parking meters which are $1/hour from 9am-7pm Mon-Sat, and free parking Sundays and Holidays. I've never had a problem finding a spot even when arriving mid-afternoon on Monday. Definitely "the place" to watch a game .. 24 beers on draft, many of which are local (from NHs micro and craft breweries), flat screen TVs no matter where you look and plenty comfort food. We came in one late night looking for happy hour drinks and happened to find this place, convenient location and easy parking.The atmosphere is nice open deck, they also have a rooftop. This was our first time dining here. I had heard they did some renovations during the Covid shut down as well as added new seafood menu items to their menu. Being a sports bar, I wasn't expecting to be wowed by the food as much as the libations. Boy was I wrong! We started with calamari and fried clams. Both were perfectly cooked. Hubby especially loved the clams and the peppers in the calamari were hot and delicious. Hubby had a Greek salad with blackened chicken which he enjoyed very much. I had the seared yellowfin tuna. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. I used a little chipotle ranch on the tuna and loved it. The vegetable side was broccoli and a little underwhelming, but the onion rings were perfectly crisp and yummy. We will definitely be back. Hubby says next time he is going to get the whole belly clam dinner instead of just an appetizer. My dirty martini was smooth and perfect. Service was very attentive. The cheese wasn't melted the guac tasted funny , there was no appealing presentation to them . The Main course was a burger cooked rare . This is the second time I've been to this bar. The first time about 3 years ago was average from what i can remember. This time was horrible. Service was slow. The food took 30+ minutes for a couple of sandwiches and there weren't many people there. When the food finally came out it was garbage. I got a black and blue burger. There was more blue cheese than there was meat. The cheese was so pungent that the other people at my table were grossed out. The burger was one step better than a hockey puck. It tasted like charcoal. The fries were skinny and soggy. Finally the prices were ridiculous. For $14 the burger should have been cooked to the right temp at the very least. Beer prices were way too high as well. I think i paid $8+ for a standard (non-craft) 12 oz IPA that can be found at any grocery store. The only decent thing about my trip was the waitress was very friendly. The bar also has a nice atmosphere for nice weather as it is opened up to the outside. Otherwise, everything was garbage. Visiting NH and found this place near where I was staying. Food was excellent, good size portions. I had the fish and chips. The fish was prepared nicely, fries were crispy, Coleslaw was good and not too spicy or overrun with dressing. Offered a wide assortment of drinks and alcohol. Waitress was attentive, accommodating, courteous and friendly. She constantly refilled our drinks at the right time, made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. Plenty of sports and TV's to watch. Definitely recommend this place and will revisit again. read more

Since Covid and the reopening- the servers and bar staff wore no masks, people were seating themselves at dirty tables and using condiments left by the table before them. I can only say this place has to be owned by someone who has no idea to run a bar/ restaurant. The drinks are over-priced (we are talking Boston prices in Concord). The bartender was wiping and putting away glasses, and moving back-and-forth around the bar but never made eye contact with me. He wasn't serving any customers. After about five minutes a woman with a sweatshirt saying "Staff" joined him, in the two of them talked with each other but neither ever made eye contact with me, much less offer us anything. I recently put on an event at The Draft. I can't say enough about how well I, and my guests, were treated ! From the initial contact, until I put the last item back in my truck, the staff of The Draft were unbelievably helpful! Sam, our main waiter, even convinced her boyfriend to come in and help me unpack, and pack my truck. The Manager, Lauri, stayed on top of the details and made sure everything would go smoothly. The Chef, Paul, continuously, checked in with me, before, during, and after the meal, to make sure that the food was as good as promised. IT WAS BETTER than promised! Food has been on point service tries there best and bar tenders have been consistent Daniel and Kenzie have made my experiences very pleasant when I have them as waitresses.
