    Drunken tacos
    Gary R.

Your/Our clue should have been it was almost empty on a busy Sunday afternoon in town. The interior is very nice but more bar/game room with pool tables and dart boards. The server was friendly but after the meal was served kind of MIA for most of it and since we had a food issue took a while before she returned to deal with it. The meals were decent the shrimp tacos done well and the beans and rice good and hot. Their signature drunken tacos were so good but served more warm than hot. The first order of fries was cold and soggy, hence needing the waitress to return. The second order she brought was done much better. They also do not serve chips and salsa as a standard table fare as most Mexican restaurants do. You can try the place if you like but it's mostly our last time.

Margaritas 2 for 1 Wednesday deal
    Mark R.

Prime Rib dinner $21.95 Wednesday deal. And it's really good too. My rare prime rib could almost walk but was juicy and tender. Lumpy home-style mashed taters and green beans with onion rounded out the paste. We tried the housemate guacamole it was great, chips might have been bagged. 2 for 1 Margaritas were good for house standard. Good meal at boutique place. We will return.

The Drunken Taco is a spacious, Mexican-American restaurant located in the colorful and vibrant Gulfport, FL. I came here with 3 friends on a Sunday late afternoon and the place had plenty of open seating. It's pretty big on the inside and has a good amount of seating outside on their covered patio, as well. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is definitely not the place for that - The Drunken Taco is an American take on Mexican food. They have Korean tacos, ground beef tacos, empanadas, taco salad, and more all topped with cheddar cheese, sour cream, etc., - all the American-style Mexican night ingredients. We got the party sampler which was a huge tray of chips with queso, salsa, and guacamole. The queso was definitely the best dip, the salsa was okay, and the guac had huge chunks of uncut avocados which was tricky to eat no matter how much we tried to smash them. They were out of rice and beans which was included in a lot of of menu items. Since they were out of it, I chose a side salad to accompany my shrimp tacos. My shrimp tacos were good; their cilantro cream sauce with it was yummy. My friend got a burrito and it was pretty small due to them being out of rice and beans. They have a 2 for 1 margarita deal which is a super deal that we obviously partook in. We got various frozen and on-the-rocks margs. All were superrrr sweet and big, so if you're looking for a more subtle marg with not a lot of sugar, I would opt out of the margs. Our waitress was awesome; super friendly and attentive. It's a fun vibe here but the food is mediocre. I'd come here again for a round of drinks and maybe a different appetizer!

Stale chips and bland watery salsa

Never again.. My goodness the food is bad here...almost as bad as the service. Stale chips, weird tasting runny salsa. The meat in my friends taco was good but the toppings weren't. Had to send my skin my margarita back as it was basically a glass of sour mix. Ordered a Paloma and had to explain how to make it. Received a watered down glass of grapefruit juice. Never again

It's a fun place to go the food has been good every time we've gone the staff is great we usually go to the bar seating is quick and your meal gets delivered in a reasonable time after you eat you can go walk it off on the beach go see through golf course see yourself in favor go to Mexico and Gulfport

Corn on the cob and grilled shrimp!!!

The food is awesome!! Natalie was great to suggest grilled shrimp over rice and added the delish street corn on cob!! The price is right!! And another favirite is the taco salad bowl and teriyaki chicken tacos!!! Love this place!!

    301 different Tequilas
    Michelle D.

I had dinner with friends on a Friday night at the Drunken Taco. We were seated quickly and advised there were 301 tequila choices and bonus, the margaritas were bogo. We started off with queso, guac and chips. I wasn't impressed with the chips and queso, but the guac was tasty. I ordered the taco salad with shredded chicken. It was humongous! I was barely able to eat half. The shredded chicken was juicy with a nice flavor. And the toppings were fresh. I would recommend this entree. My mango margarita(s) were yummy. I can tell you they were not light on the tequila pour like most places when there's a special. I ordered the medium size, which was plenty big enough. I would hope anyone ordering the large size should have a designated driver if you have two;) Our server was friendly and attentive. My friends and I will be back when I visit Gulfport again.

This is what I was served as a Chicken bowl. It tasted aweful, presentation was missing. No guacamole. Take out so bowl was separate.

The food is getting worse. The service is sometimes OK amd sometimes not. Last Friday I gave the chicken bowl one more chance. That was a total waste of money. It was disgusting. Server said that's how it looks now. Mine was a take out so the bowl was separate. Not going back. Yet another local that got served crap food.

We wanted to eat something that would be filling, comforting, grab a few drinks but not necessarily need a whole sit down experience. So we stumbled upon Casita Taqueria. Thanks to the other awesome reviews, we knew this was the place to go! It literally feels like a casita when you walk in. They have lots of outdoor seating, picnic tables and such. Inside had a bit less seating (especially when it's raining and most of the people want to stay indoors). Either way, we found a table for 5 in no time. The ordering is easy, you go up to the register, order what you want and then they bring the food to you. No servers no waiters just easy. Highly recommend ordering a pitcher of margarita, we got the spicy jalapeño one and it was so refreshing! The food was delicious, freshly made, quick, and perfect for a lunch break. We got the tempeh nachos, rice and beans bowl, chips guac and salsa plus everything else the rest of our table got. We left full and our hearts happy! The ONLY THING I wish I would see was a super spicy house sauce. Which btw, they have a little fridge of their house made sauces for you to grab and enjoy. I just WISH there was a spicy one, the sweet one was pretty good!

I see in another review a Yelper complains that it's not a tiki bar, but if you understand proper English, they're not claiming to be a tiki bar. The name says Pub & Grill. The bar's OWNER is Tiki Tim. That's his nickname, not a description of the bar. Yes there are some tiki type decorations, and yes, the place is actually a dive bar, But they have an absolutely fantastic kitchen so Tiki Tim's is well worth visiting. I ordered the Loaded Crab Cake Bloody Mary ($26.99). This exceptional Bloody Mary comes with a Bloody Mary Chaser! The chaser had 6 green olives. The Bloody Mary itself had: 4 pcs Celery 2 slices of Bacon 3 Mini tomatoes 4 lg shrimp 1 Crab cake burger It's a meal as well as a drink. Nice kick, too. The menu has several different Bloody Mary options. I also ordered the Blue Crab Fries ($14.51). A huge dollop of blue crab dip on seasoned fries. Enough dip for all the fries. Wing Man Gary (USAF pilot, retired) had the Tiki Burger ($14.51). Gary reports the burger was good but not exceptional. The menu has some fantastic offerings, I'll be back to try more!

My wife wanted to try the crab cake but the bartender (the fabulous Carolyn, aka London) sold her on the fresh-caught snapper sandwich. She got it blackened and said it was the best snapper sandwich she's had in a long time. The bar and grill is far from pretentious and is a couple steps up from dive bar status. Prices are fair and service was top-notch. Overall this place backs up its Yelp rating. I'll be back for those crab cakes soon!

Well-versed on the menu and a very pleasant lady. It's certainly not a fancy place and it looks like it's been around for a while, but it's the kind of place where you might like to hang out at the bar. Everyone there seems to be friendly and you get that comfortable feeling. We had a variety of food items, some better than others but nothing below average. Really good salads, as you can see by the pictures, a nice job on the chicken wings, a BLT that was pretty tasty; the butternut squash soup was OK, pretty thick and not hot at all. One was returned to the kitchen to be heated up. There was a chicken dip that really didn't hit the spot, and the tortilla chips that came with it seem to be past their prime. As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. Overall, I would give the food about a 3 1/2 stars at the service five stars so what averages out around four stars. Like I said it looks like a nice place to hang around and have a couple of beverages and a little something to eat.

I have noticed this place for years and there are always cars out front when they're open. I've also noticed that a lot of the people going in and out are Mexicans. Now I know why. This place is authentic! It is a cheerful little Mexican restaurant with knickknacks brought across the border by the owners and proudly displayed everywhere there's room. I was greeted by Mama Nina as soon as I walked through the door and told to sit anywhere I liked. I was immediately served with chips, salsa, hot sauce, a large glass of ice water, and a menu. Mama Nina saw my interest in the little house plaques behind the register and proudly pointed out her favorite. The salsa is smooth and easy to pick up with the paper thin homemade chips. Neither salsa nor chips were too salty. A lot of places will serve you salty chips and salsa so that you will drink more. Señor Taco isn't trying for the cheap sale. This is the real deal. I immediately ordered Guacamole and Chips ($10.99). The guacamole is obviously homemade, had just the right amount of spice, and was topped with a sprinkle of pico de gallo, instead of having it mixed into the guacamole. Easily matched the best guacamole I've ever had. For my entrée, I ordered the fajita trio ($29.69). This was also the best fajitas I've ever had. Large slices of steak, chicken, and perfectly grilled shrimp, smothered in green and red peppers and onions. Brought out on a hot metal plate with a wooden under plate and still sizzling from the grill. You can see the steam in the photo. A separate plate held yellow rice, scoops of sour cream and guacamole, two different kinds of cheese, lettuce, and pico de gallo. The beans were served in a small crockpot because it was almost like a soup! I mixed the rice with the beans and ate it with the spoon provided. There were easily enough mixings to make 8 fajitas but I was only given 3 flour tortillas, although I'm sure I would have been served more if I asked. There was no way I could eat everything on the table. When I was full Mama Nina deftly packaged my leftovers to go. This was easily the best Mexican meal I have had here in Florida. Well worth the $50 including generous tip. There is a business for sale sign in the window. I hope they are moving to a better location. It always surprises me to find excellent restaurants in little out of the way holes in the wall. I'll be back!
