My friends and I visited Chinelos Taqueria today and we were so impressed by the food and the service. It was our first visit and it definitely won't be our last! We split the chips and dip trio and we loved all three dips - queso, guacamole, and salsa. We also had nachos, elote, and a variety of tacos and it was all delicious! The man (owner?) working front of house took such good care of us and was genuinely friendly and seemed to love that we loved the food. Food here was so yummy and the price is pretty fair. This bowl was around $12 and it was bigger than I thought it'd be. The food was also cooked great, seasoning and temperature were on point. We tried this place because of the great reviews n the birria tacos. Note- they ran out of the birria by the time we arrived at 4pm on a Sunday. We ordered the chips with guac, salsa and queso- all phenomenal. The guac was the best I've had! Since they were out the birria we ordered a steak torta, steak quesadilla and chrorizo tacos. Not sure why all the 5 stars. We found it to be pretty good food but lacks restaurant atmosphere. It was nothing special. No glass of water just the cheapest bottles of water they can buy to charge you $2 for. The food was average at best. What makes this place is the sauce that comes With your food. Tv was to load and in Spanish which was great for them but the few customers they had couldn't understand it. Maybe that's why so few. This would have been a 5 star review if not for the water. My son and I asked for water with our meal. We were charged $2 for each bottled water, which is fine if I were ordering bottled water. We were not told that water was an extra charge. This chicanery removes 1 star from this review. Chinelos Taqueria only has 7 tables, most of their business is carry out, so I can understand the charge for water. What I can't understand is why we were not told the water was an extra charge. We started with Guacamole and chips ($6.95). A decent amount of homemade guacamole with cilantro, onions, and just a hint of tomato. I ordered the Steak Burrito ($12.95). This is the first burrito I've had here in Florida that was NOT mostly beans and rice! My son ordered the Steak Fajitas ($18.95). Plenty of meat, 3 different sautéed peppers and onions. This is a great hidden gem, tucked into a tiny block in Kenneth City. The dining room is small, modest, and clean, with an ordering kiosk at the door. You can bypass that and grab a menu and order at a table though. I have been here a couple times now and the flavors are always on point, and they put a respectable amount of meat in their tacos. The horchata is also exceptionally good (after a couple mediocre ones at other spots I feel the need to mention it). Victor, the guy who runs this place, is super nice and it really feels like someone's grandma is in the back cooking. Chinelos is great little restaurant/take out Mexican place tucked into a strip mall. There are a few tables inside for dining. The food is humble and absolutely delicious. The tacos are my favorite and there are a number to choose from: Asada, Pollo Asada, Birra, Al Pastorm and more. We like to eat in and order a handful of tacos, share them, and enjoy the various flavors. Each one is flavored differently, with roasted and braised meats, complimentary flavors of citrus or blackened spice. Delicious food. It's just a small restaurant kind of hard to find. The server was sorta nice but he was saging and had an AirPod in the entire time. He had a hard time hearing us but that's fine he spoke good English but better Spanish. There wasn't any soft drinks but in a plastic water bottle. Very little staff but the cookers were hard at work. The decorations were okay they were in random places and didn't fit in some spaces kind of much. We saw some great reviews and thought we would stop in for lunch after leaving the airport. It is tucked away in a small business area. The place is nothing fancy and had limited seating but the food was delicious. I had the burrito de carne asada. It was large size with some chips and green salsa. It was stuffed with wonderfully seasoned meat, beans, and rice. My wife had the asada tacos and they were great. Our server brought us some hot salsa and a creamy jalapeño sauce in squeeze bottles. Both of those sauces were amazing. I believe the gentleman who stopped by our table was the owner and he really wanted feedback on the sauces/food. This small unassuming taqueria provides big, authentic incredible flavors! Service was wonderful as we were greeted with a friendly hello and he made sure to check on us periodically. The Birria Tacos were the best I've had in the area. The consomme was absolutely lovely, not overpowering but complimented the savory taco in every way. The Al Pastor Tacos, oh my what a blast of savory, sweet and hint of tartness from the pineapples, pork and that crisp bite of freshness from the cilantro and radishes. Delicious! I ordered the Alambre platter, and it was phenomenal. A large serving consisting of beef, bacon, peppers, onions, corn tortillas and mozzarella cheese. It's one of my favorite Mexican dishes and they do it very well. The rice was tasty (seasoned with cumin). The refritos were good as well. The hot salsa that accompanied the dish was very well done. My friend got the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and I got the taquitos dorado's al la carte. Mine came out after a few minutes but not his. The waiter said it would be right out but I could tell by the tone of conversation (and the woman rushing into the kitchen) that they had forgot his. It came out a little bit later (nothing like eating in front of people waiting for their food) With apologies and an explanation that the system didn't print it correctly. The food was really good!
