We had a delicious lunch here! Such a beautiful space, and I loved being able to see the duck being roasted from the windows looking into the kitchen. It is elevated but still feels comfortable and approachable. Service was veryyyyy slow - it seemed they were understaffed. We didn't have our order taken for probably half an hour? We were getting antsy and hungry by the time our server came. They were serving brunch when we visited, so we got: Cinnamon roll for the table - yum with orange peel Duck carnitas - incredible!! Duck fat home fries - plentiful and great shareable for the table Chorizo benedict - tablemate loved this Chicken salad sandwich - tablemate loved this Their menu notes what HAS gluten rather than what is gluten-free, which is the opposite of what most restaurants note so it was a bit confusing to read at first. But I appreciated that there were some GF options!

My wife and I recently went to The Duck & The Peach for a nice weeknight date dinner and had a good experience. We were seated at our reservation time and we received outstanding service throughout our dinner. Our server took the time to walk us through the menu and answered all of our questions. The ambiance is higher-end millennial chic, with visible pipes, copper, and an open kitchen. The food came out in a timely manner and well-paced. Note that if you are vegetarian, there are not a lot of options for main dishes. The prices and portion sizes for the quality were very reasonable. My wife and I ordered and shared the following dishes: Pumpernickel bread with butters-hearty, soft on the inside, good crust on the outside, with both butters pairing perfectly with the bread. A great start to the meal. Baby Carrots-The carrots were perfectly cooked, and were well-seasoned and spiced. Cabbage-Nicely cooked, flavorful, and a good elevation of a simple ingredient. Creamy Potatoes-very rich and buttery, although extremely salty to the point of being hard to eat. Amish Chicken-Well-cooked and juicy, but the chicken needed more sauce and flavor. We split the chocolate cheesecake and the caramel apple cake for dessert. The chocolate cheesecake was the best thing I had all evening-rich, chocolatey, and extremely flavorful. The caramel apple cake was fine, but nothing noteworthy. I would recommend The Duck & The Peach if you are a non-vegetarian looking for a higher-end, modern American cuisine experience.

We did the duck feast. Duck was good and loved the watercress salad. I thought the skin was going to be crispy which it wasn't, but still enjoyed it. The potatoes and pumpernickel bread with goat butters have a strong goat butter taste so beware if you do not like that. Carrots were fine. Pate was really creamy and good coming from someone who usually doesn't like pate. Desserts were also fine. Service was great and loved the relaxed friendly vibes.

We had reservations and got there a little earlier than the reservation time. They seated us right away. We had seats right next to the kitchen and we had a good view of it. Service was mixed, with the beginning and end being slow. It took like 10-15 min before server addressed us and took about 15-20 min to close out the check. But service during the actual meal was good. We got the duck feast for 2 that came with choices of sides. Appetizer was pate and bread, which was tasty, but I don't think I would order pate again on my own. The duck was good, the skin was crisp and they rendered most of the fat, but duck is still fatty overall. I was pretty full so I couldn't finish the duck. Sides of potato and mushrooms. Dessert was good. Chocolate cheesecake was rich and chocolatey. Cranberry tart was tart and sweet.

Great service, fresh fruit, excellent selection of teas. Make reservations as the weather gets better, whether you sit at the bar or table - always great service

Wonderful server. Food was good. Duck can be a bit crisper. Carrots were excellent. Dessert was excellent. The sweet potatoe one was probably my favorite. The different goat butter was also delicious and definately worth the calories. Ambiance was something your millennial beige vibes

Delicious food and really great service! Things we enjoyed: 1. There's outdoor seating! 2. The pancakes were AMAZING! so delicious 3. The potatoes were also pretty good 4. The golden latte was also spectacular! There's this chai syrup that they add that really sets it off! Even with a rambunctious 4 year old in the mix, the staff did such a wonderful job accommodating us. Will absolutely return to try more of the menu!

Another 5/5 experience at the Duck & The Peach. This time, we had the duck, chicken & the steak. All were phenomenal. The steak really stole the show for me. Delicious! The service was great, too. I'm sure we'll be back again.

I came here for restaurant week and it was well worth it! My friend and I got different dishes for each meal, which we ended up sharing. I got the chicken, potatoes and peach cobbler. She got the scallops, okra and chocolate Swiss roll. We shared a caviar sample from the main menu. Everything was absolutely wonderful! We already want to come back sometime for their duck special. Their service was wonderful from the moment we came in. They accommodated us with food restrictions easily. Everything was also received promptly. I love the ambiance also. We are well spaced out from other tables and we can hear each other. I can't wait to come back here again in the future!

Superb service! Superb attentive staff around! Crisp and neat feeling to this place as it's semi casual spot for dining in by eastern market. Food were amazing... nothing could ever go wrong. - Duck tacos were moist and tender! Burst of flavors in a bite! - Omelette was so good as it's a vegetarian friendly meal. It was mushroom, cheese and some greens. The salad side was very flavorful with a hint of citrus and well seasoned dressing. - Blueberry pancakes were amazing... fluffy and soft. Lots of blueberry and its sauce all over the pancakes. Seems it's seasonal flavor for the pancakes here. I'm curious to try other flavors like lemon ricotta! Need to figure out when to come back for that!

Strong execution, but underwhelmed by the hype Not the greatest start--there was a homeless man blocking the entrance asking for change, which made for an uncomfortable arrival. However, the host greeted us warmly and offered us seating... outside. In 100-degree heat. Odd choice, but we moved on. We were seated by a glass wall overlooking the kitchen, which turned out to be a unique and enjoyable detail. The open display of freshly roasted duck gave off upscale Chinese duck house vibes. The kitchen looked clean and professional, encouraging signs. Our server was sharp and well-versed in the menu. We were hoping for a duck and peach pairing, but were told peach season hadn't quite arrived. Props to the chef for sticking with seasonal, local sourcing--even if it meant holding off on the peaches. The cocktails were unmemorable, and the desserts didn't look particularly interesting, so we passed. My wife's gin & tonic was flat, and my farmhouse saison was fine, but nothing to revisit. The duck -- J. Jurgielewicz duck, cherry agrodolce, fennel, chive -- was excellent. I've had duck many different ways, and while Chinese-style duck typically wins for value, this version was exceptional. The dark meat was the standout: tender, rich, and deeply flavorful. That said, Peking duck still wins for crispy skin. The cherry agrodolce added a nice sweet-tart balance without stealing the show. Honorable mention to the Brussels sprouts (from a past visit)--no longer on the menu--but memorable for their bright Meyer lemon acidity, which cut through the caramelized edges beautifully. A rare vegetable dish that really stuck with me. We chatted with our server and learned a new summer menu is coming soon--complete with peaches. Overall, I was happy with the experience, but with all the hype surrounding this place, I found myself underwhelmed. Good food, thoughtful sourcing, clean execution--but lacking that wow factor I was hoping for.

Loved this restaurant. Beautiful and simple interior design, great for dates or small groups of 4. Wine list is great and works really well with the menu. We ordered the duck feast and it was a lot of food for 2 people we had to pack a lot with us. Service was really great, and they automatically charge 20% service charge but we tipped in top of it saying how much we enjoyed the service. Desserts were a Miss for both of us. We tried chocolate trinity and rhubarb torte but didn't like any. Sad but it just wasn't our cup of tea.

Hands down this is one of my favorite restaurants I've been to this year. I loved everything about my experience and I seemed to express this enough to others that they now want to visit as well. PARKING: I did use Lyft but should be noted that the Eastern Market metro stop on the Silver line is a 2 minute walk away and I saw a door that indicated that parking or garage could be nearby as well. SETTING: I loved how this restaurant was designed. It seemed comfy, spacious and elegant. SERVICE: The service had to be the best part here. Our waitress was very warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable of the menu. FOOD: Our waitress explained that the menu is arranged from lightest to heaviest, served family style and focuses on wellness. (Evening Spring Menu) PUMPERNICKEL & BUTTER |14| This was such a treat. We actually had a great time discussing the differences between the three types of butter. Cow, Goat, and Buffalo Butter each had such a distinct taste and were all delicious. CRAB RISOTTO |24| I could have eaten this all by myself. This was so creamy and flavorful that I was disappointed that I had to share. DUCK |98| The duck came out roasted and perfectly cooked. But the nice surprise was how delicious the fennel salad was. There was a little on the side but should not be missed. PINK TRIANGLE BAR |18| This was a favorite at the table. The waitress likened it to a strawberry shortcake popsicle sold from a ice cream truck but more elevated. While this was everyone's favorite, I personally wasn't a fan. It had a mint and almost bubblegum flavor that I couldn't put my finger on. But I was the only one who tasted it so I was the anomaly. RHUBARB BROWN BUTTER TORTE |7| Our waitress let us know that this is very rhubarb forward so it has a very tart taste that many may not anticipate. Eating the torte by itself was okay but when you combine it with the compote it adds a nice sweet element and it became my favorite dessert. OVERALL: I really loved this restaurant I'll be back for brunch and/or for their seasonal change to the menu.

Half Peking Duck with citrus vinaigrette and topped with scallion. Amazing.

We walk into the ramen spot and ask where the speakeasy is and the guy led us to the back and showed us to some stairs to go down. Seriously, how COOL is this place??? The neon lights were so fun! We walked into the bar and immediately loved it! Good amount of bar seating plus some comfy couches and whatnot. There was music but it wasn't too obnoxious, we were still able to have conversations - it was surprisingly chill and exactly what we were looking for. Chatted to the bartender who made some fancy shots for us, had a few drinks. It was not busy at all on a Sat night which was nice. It is very dark inside even with the neon lights so it does make it hard to read the menus (had to use flashlights on our phone). But super fun spot, fun drinks, not too expensive, and a neat and chill experience! It was an excellent find for us for sure!

Trouble Bird was the answer to my prayers on a recent trip, where I was looking to have high quality drinks and a laid-back NON-commercial vibe with my team. We liked it so much, we came twice in one week, and I was impressed at their ability to handle and be comfortable for a large group in a space that can feel intimate. The lighting is nice and moody, the menu available via QR code, and the WiFi free and listed with password for patrons to use. We had excellent service both times, by the two folks working each night for a groups of 6-8 each time. There was something for everyone from the nondrinkers to the beer enthusiasts, to cocktail aficionados like myself. There's an amazing happy hour deal, with discounts on drinks all Monday and reduced prices for a couple of hours on other weekdays; it almost felt criminal how generous the happy hour was when I've gotten used to paying $20 for a mediocre cocktail at other nearby establishments. And the cocktails here are really very good, probably the best in the area, except for their immediate next door neighbor. The group favorite cocktail was the Midori sour which was incredibly well balanced and refreshing, and the surprising crowd pleaser was the Hamilton Dry Float, which came in a creepy tiki mug presentation that we really loved. We had a couple of the bar bites - the spiced peanuts were well loved across the group but my person favorite food item was the blistered shishitos, which came with a great chipotle aioli. The bathrooms are extremely clean and overall this was a bar favorite for the group for our week of going out and socializing together. Overall this is a gem of a neighborhood hangout with really excellent cocktails and service! Will absolutely come here next time I'm in town!
