I had Carlos and his team assemble our European style kitchen cabinets. They were made of finished…read morewood and lacquer cabinets. We sent our kitchen assembly instructions ahead of time to make sure they were aware. My overall sense is that Carlos is fairly capable and experienced but either his team or him are not as careful as we had damages to our finished wood toe kicks and our lacquer cabinets looked like they had been dragged over nails as they were being assembled. I didn't appreciate that they made 0 mention of it at all and I had to point it out. As the homeowner, I essentially had to baby sit them for 5 days through the install since it felt like they were incapable / unwilling to read the kitchen cabinet installation instructions in detail and I caught several mistakes early on during the cabinet assembly that made me hesitant to leave it unattended. Carlos's attitude was particularly bad through the entire experience as well. Always made it seem like we were inconveniencing him or being too nit picky even if we caught some mistakes. At one point, he even threatened to quit after the assembly but before the installation simply because he had underestimated the complexity of the project. We did have a 1 day delay due to some plumbing / electrical issues but that's pretty typical as far as kitchen cabinet installations go AFAIK. In the end, they were able to get all the kitchen cabinets installed, albeit with a lot of effort from my end due to the more custom nature of the project. The price was affordable and the work was solid (minus the scratches) but for me the bad attitude wasn't worth it.

CABINET REFACING!! My kitchen project with Fernando was a…read moregreat experience. I was selling the house and needed A BIG TRANSFORMATION to get a new, modern look (like a NEW BUILD HOME). The original cabinets were made of solid maple wood and screamed 1980's!! I ruled out replacing the original custom cabinets because it was not cost effective. Alternatively, I considered painting the cabinets but it would not produce the end result that I needed. My real estate agent suggested cabinet refacing. Huh, WHAT's that !? I searched the internet and YELP. I called Fernando and he educated me about the cabinet refacing process. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. I wanted big results! He showed so much care and attention to detail from the start. He pointed out to me the 2 areas where the cabinets must be raised... 1) to accommodate a standard size refrigerator, and another area, to accommodate a new range hood at standard height (instead of the existing over-the-range-microwave). In order to give an accurate quote Fernando stopped by the house more than once to measure the cabinets. He made me feel as though I was his only customer. He updated me during the entire project - particularly when he was working on my cabinet doors "off site". He is extremely polite, he cares about his customers, and I always had a sense of trust with Fernando and his team. Some nights his team worked after hours to get the job done! Awesome dedication! THE RESULTS? The pictures tell the story better than I can! My kitchen is a modern beauty! It turned out better than I expected! When marketing this house FOR SALE the kitchen was a big selling point, of course!! The home sold in 8 days - could have been sooner - but we stalled in order to accommodate OPEN HOUSE on the weekend. The home was in high demand. There were multiple offers... and the home sold almost $200,000 over asking price!!! I certainly recommend this local business. I have another home with these same maple cabinets (installed by the same family friend in the 80's). In summary, we had a drainage pipe that was leaking, resulting in damaging the drywall it was behind. Ron, within minutes of entering our home, confirmed our suspicions and quickly got to work, starting with the removal of the severely damaged drywall segments followed by the removal of paint. He doesn't do plumbing, but recommended a plumber that he trusted and partnered with over the years. After the pipe was repaired, Ron proceeded to patch up the wall and prep it for painting. His professionalism throughout this multi-day experience was very positive - he shared his thoughts on what happened and why. I appreciated his candor and friendliness. At the end of the job, I reviewed finished work and advised Job Manager of remaining work which needed to be done. I was advised that the Project Manager thought project was great and he would not revisit any of the items I thought still needed to be taken care of. Conclusion is that if they get busy with jobs which are larger than yours. your job might not get finished. I had to hire a plumber to come in and finish their work. I do not recommend this company and I will not use them again in the future.
