Bathrooms are OK, but they ran out of TP in just about all stalls BEFORE the concert started & women staff standing around outside the doors on their phones & talking to eachother.... I had to say something to them & the jumped, but what?! I mentioned it also to the hospitality tent & they jumped too. Concert amazing- see pics & videos. It was literally pouring down rain the entire weekend to the point that I just think the man above sent the flood to Atlanta for Memorial Day. This is obviously a fully outdoor event at Piedmont Park, but I'm really happy that they continued forward despite the weather. I also greatly enjoyed myself: I got artwork. I got to see The Roots perform and they are a musical group that I really love so to see them, especially for free was amazing. I got to eat some good food - the vendors and overall people were really friendly. I'm happy that even with the rain it was still a success. Definitely check it out during Memorial Day Weekend in the future.

The building decor and design in itself is a treat--in an artsy and historical style--but the sound system in that hall was on fire! The line outside wasn't terrible, and the staff and security were all very respectful and laid back. No drama. Fair warning, they let me in with my mini-backpack but tossed any snacks I had in it. No biggie! So, if you find yourself touring around Centennial Park and want to catch a show, it's not too hard. The main floor allows for the party to really happen, but only for those who can endure standing for hours at a time as it's standing only. There's a floor level for VIPs, which I bet was totally worth the money. We sat up in the balcony, so we could sit and see it all. Whew! The seats are very snug! I'm only 5'3", and it was a squeeze for my legs. My 6'1" hubby said he was ok, but his legs were open the entire show to fit. On that note, be prepared for LOTS of stairs! Drinks were tasty and made well. My pizza wasn't exceptional in any way, but it was edible for bar food. And really, the bartenders were all friendly and patient. Just a cool night altogether. Great experience for a small-venue show on a date, with girlfriends, or a big group of fans alike! We saw James Blake, and the only issue I had was the bright flashing lights. I had to squint by the end of the show. But it didn't seem to bother the other thousand in the hall.

Interesting neighberhood with plenty of pre- and/or post- dining or drinking options. Concessions/drinks high as they are at most such venues. Clean restrooms, friendly staff. I'd definitely see another show here. I think this type of venue is best for a certain type of show--for more active shows where one might want to dance or otherwise engage a venue like The Eastern is more fitting, but for a show where you're more of a spectator absorbing the music being played this one works very well.

No street parking at all It used to be called Stockbridge Amphitheater just in case you hear ppl still referring to it by that name. This is a really nice medium sized venue. They do offer various types of seating reserved General Admission, Hightop tables, Box sections, VIP Seating which is the closest to the stage with tables. The venue does a security search through metal detectors, be mindful of policy on bag sizes, cooler sizes & allowed vs unallowed items. Dont be the person to have throw something out or walk back to your car. This is a heads up. The venue also allow you to bring coolers with food & drinks. They do have vendors who will be selling food, sometimes they have food trucks as well. In addition they have bar that serves alcoholic beverages. Overall, its a nice venue, with a nice set up, the staff are friendly, if you are able go to the box office on certain days to purchase tix, it will save you on those high Ticketmaster fees as they do charge a very smaller fee. Be prepared for a small walk if you dont park in the limited free parking or pay the fee to park at the venue. Also, some business also offer fee parking in the area and that also is a walk. The sound system is good. I have seen several artist who come & walk through the audience as they perform. It is a rain or shine venue, however, if its thunderstorms or lightning they will stop the performances & see how to proceed. If they have to reschedule you will be able to use the same tix for the rescheduled date. I will keep going back to Stockbridge Amphitheater as it is well worth the price of tix, the distance which is 30-45 min from College Park Area which is next to the airport (just to give you an idea).
