It's sad how "many hat wearing" business owners are so quick to respond here publicly, but cannot return a phone call or email within weeks. I went to the shop at 8am in late January. I responded to estimate email before I even left the parking lot. I waited a week to email again, after hearing nothing. After the second week I sent another email, then finally got a response. I called to set up a date and they told me the "boss" assured me he'd get back to me that day. I waited another 5 days, now on the third week. I just wanted to put some money down and get my truck on the books!! I left another voicemail and then left a half review as a test. Sure enough, owner cares about the negative review but doesn't take steps to actually make his mistake better, instead has many excuses. I am shocked how quickly you responded to my review but couldn't email me or call me! No worries, I called another shop at 5:35pm yesterday and they answered and talked to me for a while even though it was 5 minutes after closing! read more

The Edge Automotive is the only shop that I'll allow to work on my Land Cruiser. Chris Breidenbach and the team at The Edge are very knowledgeable and absolutely fair. Although I do most of my own work, the team has done a front axle repack (before I did a full chromo rebuild) and built some custom sliders and armor for my FZJ80. Chris is an excellent communicator. He let me know when the project was running a little longer than expected; a HUGE improvement over other shops that just give radio silence. When I had an issue they had trouble tracking down, Chris and the guys worked with me extensively to not only identify the problem, but keep working on the issue until I was 100% satisfied. I think that what I appreciate most about The Edge is that they don't talk down to customers or treat you like an idiot, nor do they turn up their noses when you have less than a crazy six-figure "mall-princess-turned-rock-rig." (A few other shops in the Denver area have lost my business and should take a lesson!) Chris treats his customers as his friends. Little wonder that many of his customers actually BECOME his friends! Living central to 4X4 USA there are small and large off-road shops on every corner. New to the Denver area, it unfortunately it took me a year of weeding through several other shops before i finally landed on The Edge Automotive's doorstep. It all starts when you have an issue that needs to be taken care of yesterday (window actuator stuck down during the winter). I spoke with several shops in the area and only one could get me in immediately (Red flag? maybe). I spoke with Chris, the owner of The Edge Automotive and I quickly realized if i had any further issues of any kind, his shop is where my jeep would call home for a day or two at a time. Though Chris is throughly engrained in the Colorado and National (Peterson's Off Road magazine Aug 2015 issue) off-road community he makes it a priority through his philanthropic nature to rally friends and his off pavement network to come together in serious time of need and for scheduled charitable runs. These guys know their stuff! Chris and Scott have been very helpful, when it comes to recommending 4x4 modifications and needed repairs. I have a Jeep jkur, and they have helped me diagnose several issues related to 4 wheeling. They have helped me upgrade a few suspension parts, and are very reasonably priced for a full suspension inspection. They won't try to pressure you into something you don't need, or have to replace. They will recommend replacing certain items, if you are having repairs done, to save you money on labor when that part inevitably fails. They are honest, and very friendly. I have been back to edge a handful of times now, they are most definitely the only shop I use. They have now re-geared my jeep to 4:88's, installed HD diff covers, mounted my new tires and wheels, sleeved and gussets on my front axle, installed my OBA system, replaced my factory ball joints with Synergy HD's, helped me with some trim work on my rear bumper...and probably a few other things I can't remember. I was in search of a new shop to get my jeep fixed at after finding out the guy I trusted was leaving the state. I needed to get my Rubicon rear Dana 44 rebuilt. I asked around a few jeep sites and groups the one place that kept coming up was Chris at The Edge Automotive as a trust worthy shop that does good work. I decided to give Chris a try even though it is a bit out of the way. Upon calling Chris I knew this was the right place he took his time to talk with me and understand what problems I was having. Once they had the jeep and looked it over Chris called me and let me know what problems I was having and some other things they found he made sure to explain in detail the problem and took his time. They did all the work for me and resolved my problems I was having with the axle. I took my 1998 Jeep Cherokee with 220,000 miles on it to The Edge for a shake down, bumper to bumper assessment to see what repairs it might need as well as to assess if it was even worth it to keep the old vehicle. From my very first point of contact with Chris and through the whole assessment, all of the staff were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, professional and kind.  They did the bumper to bumper and let me know several things my jeep needed worth $2500 and gave me their very honest and authentic opinion that it probably wasn't worth it to do the repairs and keep the Jeep given the age and miles of the vehicle.  This was amazing since they could've easily just charged me the $2500 to get the jeep fixed but they were looking out for my best interest in needing a reliable vehicle. This act of honesty, integrity  and professionalism made me a customer for life.  I sold my jeep and bought a 2014 Nissan Xterra. I'm grateful I made that decision. They also did the bumper to bumper assessment on the Xterra and did an excellent job doing the minor repairs and did them in a timely manner. Chris did such a great job fixing up a jeep I bought for cheap. I cannot speak highly enough of him and the edge automotive. Great quality work, on time, and with very reasonable labor costs. While i was waiting, they patiently answered all of my newby questions about jeeps and 4x4's.
