My check engine light was on, so I zipped over to Autozone to have them pull the codes from my car. I was immediately greeted and was assisted. Due to Covid, employees are not able to come out to your car, but Quinnen provided me with the OBD scanner and was very detailed and attentive in walking me through how to find the plug and run the device. Once complete, he ran it through the system, offered to print out the outcome and gave me advice I wouldn't of even known how to ask for! Auto parts stores can be hit or miss... more misses than hits, if I'm being honest. But, I was really taken back by the level of service and hospitality that I received from Quinnen, and will make the trip to this store for my future auto parts needs! read more

This store is great! I took my 12 year old car here yesterday when the folks at ACC told me I needed a new gas cap. I gave the Auto Zone employee the model and year of my car, and had a new gas cap in my hand in about two minutes. They also loaned me a knife so I could cut the attachment cord on the old one. I came in to get my battery checked due to my car not starting properly and he charged, tested and exchanged the battery while being super kind and helpful answering all my questions. We thought it could be an alternator issue so he tested my alternator as well and found that everything was good to go. I was able to get my battery exchanged with my warranty free of charge. One cold night I accidentally popped open my trunk overnight and my light stayed on. Needless to say, my battery ran dead and the car wouldn't start in the snow. I pulled the battery out and walked over to auto zone, where they were nice enough to test my battery for free. If that wasn't enough, when my battery failed the test, they charged it up again and retested it! read more

On my way to work, the temperature gauge started going up, and up, and up. I started frantically scanning Broadway for non-scary car service locations and found the AutoZone. I pulled into their parking lot at 7:25, five minutes before opening, but they let me in and helped me out. They happily took a peek at my car, let me inside to warm up while my car cooled down enough to investigate, and then refilled my coolant for me. I was back on my way to work for under $15 in less than 15 minutes. I still don't know what exactly is wrong with my car, but I do know I'd recommnend this AutoZone in case of commuting emergencies! read more

My headlight was out so I stopped in to AutoZone. Martin not only helped me find the right headlights... he started installing one for me. During that process, the light came back on and he determined that it wasn't a blown bulb. After more investigation, we determined that the connection was faulty. He taped it up with electrical tape. Then, I asked about something that made me remember that my check engine light was on. He offered to diagnose it and gave me a few options for correcting the problem. He was so helpful and never made me feel silly for my questions. In fact, he encouraged me to do some car repairs on my own, which I've never felt like I could do before. Thanks, AutoZone and Martin. What a nightmare! Don't pay with a gift card if you have to return anything! I went in to purchase a water pump and serpentine belt today. I told Nate that it was a 99 Suburban 3/4 ton with a 454. He gave me the water pump and serpentine belt for a 1/2 ton Suburban with a 350 engine. I even looked at the computer screen and saw that he looked up a 1500 (1/2 ton) Suburban and told him it was 3/4 ton. He dismissed me with a quip of "They probably have the same engine." That wasn't the big dea. Tlhe big deal was that I paid with a Gift Mastercard. Instead of doing an exchange, as both pumps were the exact same price, they did a refund. This holds the funds on the card for 10 business days. No one told me that before the refund occurred. I had no other way to pay and my vehicle was already disabled at my husband's shop. I called the gift card customer service and was told that the transaction would need to be reversed, not refunded, to release the funds back to the card. The manager in the store, a blond young man went to the back of the store to avoid me. I wasn't being mean or anything. I didn't know what to do. No one there knew how to reverse that transaction. It ended up that my father-in-law had to come to the store to pay for the parts. I can't describe how disrespected I feel. I told them what I needed and was dismissed as not knowing what I'm talking about. They gave me the wrong parts, then tied up my funds with their refund. I don't know what else to do but give them 1 star on every site I can think of. read more

Worst experience ever!!!!! We came in to ask if they have a service to check antifreeze temperature, which is to check the strength, LUIS B. the guy we inquired from said no, which we understood then we asked if they have anything we could use to test it (buy) and he starts questioning us, are you gonna do it now?!? It's hot?!? We don't have anything for that , walked away and so we asked can we just buy the thing to check the antifreeze and he wasn't even listening and told us straight up "go to napa" basically saying we don't want your business, get out, we knew what we wanted didn't know a specific name all we were trying to say is what it looked like so we can get the product, instead we get a guy who tries to act like a smartass not knowing if we were gonna test the car now or later when it's cool, this guy kept assuming, I live a block away, there's no way my car would have been hot, this guy was just being a total a$$. My dad was a mechanic but is old and didn't know what it was called (well Atleast nowadays) my dad even tried to tell him it's the thing that sucks antifreeze and it has balls that float to tell you the temperature it can handle and to find out if it's diluted with water , all we needed was help on finding a product, like dude give us what we want and we'll give you the money that's all....., we then went to advanced auto parts, we told the guy we needed the thing to check the antifreeze temperature that has balls that float, took him 5 seconds to figure out what we were talking about got the item and left happy. Never going back to this autozone id rather drive 3 miles than 1 block for better service read more

Do not waste your time and especially money here. Like many of the other reviewers have pointed out, customer service is obviously not something AutoZone trains their employees on. The manager was rude and condescending. I wasn't even that upset about a wrong product they sold me that resulted in a $300+ bill to correct UNTIL I spoke with the assistant manager. In nutshell he told me that none of it was his problem and that the mechanic was probably just trying to get money out of me (umm, okay? Even if that's the case, that's NOT that right attitude). I must admit that I was surprised by some of the reviews. I've been using these guys for about 4 years now and have been given advice that saved me thousands of dollars....literally. I bought a used vehicle from a private party that was amazingly taken care of visually...but not so mechanically - spark plugs that were frozen in the heads, brake fluid that looked like dark coffee, etc. One of the guys there suggested that I use "Oil of Wintergreen" to get the plugs out and NOT the typical penetrating oil. I followed his advice of squirting it down the spark plug holes and then running the car through several heat-cycles.......by wrenching each plug part-way out then back in part way then back out, etc. all came out of the aluminum heads without damage. This is the kind of help I've always gotten here. I'm sorry others have not. read more

Yvonne is great -- I came in to ask for help with replacing my wipers because I couldn't figure out how to attach the new ones I'd bought there. She looked up the correct wipers, did a return, went and got the correct ones, and even checked to see if I needed fluid (which I did, but had forgotten). Then she came out with me to make sure we got the new ones attached correctly. It was the sort of genuine customer service I don't expect from most retailers of any kind.
