So, today, with a mission in mind, I checked out this Yelp listing and decided to go in for my first haircut here, with Alex. And i'm happy to report that this is one of the best decisions I've made this week or maybe in months with regards to getting my haircut! I look 10 years younger and there's a bounce in my step. So IHighly recommend you getting your next haircut at Alex's barbershop. The barbershop itself, is also actually really nice, it's really clean. It's also quite elegant and it has some beautiful marble or granite stonework in the walls inside. Also, being a classical musician, (it's really nice even if you not a classical musician), to go into a barber shop (or frankly, these days going almost everywhere, and not get barraged and assaulted with loud rap or house or techno music. It's December 5, so there was some seasonal holiday music playing, but it wasn't overly loud - it was pleasantly in the background, and it wasn't the often typically loud and obnoxious kind of holiday music - but rather the tasteful kind - so very "not obnoxious" or in your face! It made for a very pleasant, friendly, relaxing, and attentive experience. This is hands-down the best haircut that I've had since I've moved back into the city from living upstate this past January about 11 months ago. Everywhere else I've gone I've been very disappointed. There are many barbershops in the city, and I've been to a handful of them, but they've just not been able to give me the haircut that I wanted. Here, you'll get top-tier care, at a decent price. Having just walked out of the barbershop with a really great fade on the sides and back but with the with the extra stylish longer on top like one of the photos that I found on this yelp listing from one of his other haircuts, I feel like a million bucks.
