This is how you turn on a New Yorker :). I chose them to install granite countertops with under-mount sinks in 3 rental units we renovated. Being totally clueless about granite installation I overly researched the process. Even after all of that I didn't realize they all have a different way of charging and different items covered during the process. When I spoke with the owners about my concerns I felt reassured that I had chosen the right team. What I love about Wenbo and Jennie is that they have the granite onsite so you are able to see the quality of the stones they use. I also love that they also cut, polish and seal the stone onsite too. That is huge because it will save you so much time from the moment they go to your location to measure the countertop space and do the templates to the date of installation. We had an awful and disgusting experience with this place. I would rate it negative if I could…read more The owner's wife claims that she knows EVERYTHING about the interior design while complaining about our kitchen was so small. She made fun of what I was thinking and her suggestions were actually incorrect and all the measurement her husband took was all wrong. Since they were recommended by a contractor, I chose to trust them at the beginning and the disaster has begun. First, since all the measurements were wrong, they ordered the wrong cabinets, my corner cabinets were wrong and they said just make the sink not to face the middle of the window, then I could use the wrong cabinet. Also, they said, in order to use the cabinets that they already delivered, I could just take out the door trims so it would fit. The idea was horrible! They wanted you to accommodate their mistakes ! Imagine you have to use the sink everyday which is not aligned with the center and also the door with no trim around it. Anyway, I insisted they exchanged to the right size of the cabinets and of course, a LOT of attitude and complaining why I was so picky. Moving on to the installation of the counter top. First, I chose a very beautiful granite stone and told them how I would want it to be cut. They refused to show and confirm what was the final design because they were "BUSY". The tragedy happened when they delivered the counter top, it was the exactly the cut I keep warning them that I DON'T want. The edge was black and white so you can tell immediately that the seam was there. I understand there will be a color variation, but that shouldn't be emphasized like that. Plus, why they would refuse a customer to go onsite to check their 2000 dollars investment ? At the end, the owner yelled at me very loud and took the whole granite away. It was very intimidating as my husband wasn't there. This place will be your last place to do business with. They use "hand drawing" to design your kitchen, card board to do the molding of your counter top. Our final counter top was designed by a local kitchen studio, the owner used laser to measure and cut the stone. The installation was super professional and pleasant (GRANITE & KITCHEN STUDIO).

I have used Dan once before and I did have some bevel edges on some of his countertops that wasn't glued properly but I fixed them myself and didn't complain. A month ago I contacted Dan to give me an estimate for six other countertops. I provided CAD drawings in PDF format with detailed measurements and finished edges. Monday I went to pay Dan 100% in full to build these for me after I got the estimate for $1,800. When I got there I was treated to an irate Dan that wanted nothing more than pick a fight with someone. After spending 20 minutes trying to explain the details of what I wanted and trying to work with him. I was faced with a condescending owner with a chip on his shoulder. I had no choice but to walk out and leave. I will never return or give this man a dollar of my business ever again. Nobody should be treated like that If I could give zero stars I would. The women working for Dan are pleasant and will work with you. The owner needs to take a lesson from his employees on customer service because all I dealt with was an angry and irate man

And who better to resurface a tub than a business by the epic name of Mr. Resurface? I contacted them through Yelp and the first of my many e-mail exchanges with Ernest resulted in just a few hours. The communication was fantastic -he was super responsive and we handled everything (pricing, options, deposit, appointment) electronically. He arrived as scheduled around 9:30 on Friday and he was finished around 3:00. He was very polite, professional, thorough, neat, and a real pleasure to deal with. He set up a venting system (that looked like a giant caterpillar) down our center hallway into a bedroom window to evacuate the fumes from the resurfacing spray -that was a very nice touch. We added on for a non-slip treatment to the tub floor and a professional caulking job around the tub/floor and tub/wall joints. The finished job looks fantastic and we were very happy with the work Ernest did.
