My husband and I had our wedding at The Edwards Barn and it was amazing. The venue is beautiful and perfect, it's above and beyond our expectation. The owner Mavi and her daughter were incredible as well, they catered our food and helped us envision the details of the decorations. There's the small house with a kitchen where I could get ready beforehand which was very helpful. My guests had a wonderful time and I highly recommend The Edwards barn for your wedding!:)

Olive + Lavender Farms - Collection of cold-pressed olive oils and unique balsamic vinegars

    Olive + Lavender Farms

We happen to be in town for the wifey's birthday weekend. After doing some research, I knew this…read moreOlive + Lavender farm would be a great spot to check out. Glad we added it to the itinerary. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. The olive oil tasting farm is located in a nice neighborhood area in downtown Los Olivos. There is parking accessible in the back parking lot and limited parking next to the olive oil tasting area and boutique shop. As soon as we parked and headed to the olive oil tasting area, we were greeted by a very friendly and hospitable staff member. I appreciated all the information she told us about the property and instructions about the olive oil tasting experience. Their complimentary olive oil tasting was unique and unlike any other olive oil tasting I had ever done before. There were 10 different olive oils to taste from. You are given a freshly made sourdough bread slice to go along with a tray with a menu sheet of all the olive oils. Some of the olive oils that stood out to me were the white truffle, garlic, and Italian honey. We were then encouraged to explore the rest of the property where there was a charcuterie cart, pottery vendor, and complimentary wine tasting on the other side of the premises. This enhanced our olive oil tasting experience even more. The rest of the property was beautiful as there were a lot of tables and chairs for guests to enjoy. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Olive + Lavender Farms. The staff were nice and accommodating. The vibe was relaxing and inviting. The boutique shop were selling a lot of wonderful and distinctive local products in the area. The olive oils price point are in the higher end. Next time we are in the area we would love to come back.

Such a gem of a place. Popped in to hopefully buy some lavender plants in pots. And while they…read moredon't sell lavender to plant (why not!?), they had a lovely selection of other things. We did a free olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting, and both my friend and I bought a bottle of habanero olive oil, so yummy! They sell bundles of lavender, soaps, cute kitchen things, candles etc etc. A great stop to pick up some gifts and great way to support local businesses.

60 State Park Restaurant & Lounge - Triple Berry tart

We were greeted immediately by a very friendly waitress, who set us up at a table for eight with a spectacular view of Morro Rock in the back bay. My husband and I had been here for hors d'oeuvres before, so we had scoped out the menu. I knew whatever I had should involve some coconut shrimp. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc while we contemplated the menu. One couple of our party ordered pasta with shrimp or pasta with salmon. My husband got the grilled chipotle salmon, and a couple of us got the captain's plate which had a big assortment of fried coconut shrimp, calamari, and fish on a bed of fries. It's the most spectacular view on the coast and it is perfectly set up as a happy hour hors d'oeuvre bar. There's a long bar, many different sized tables and even an outdoor area with tables on the porch. The food might be kind of standard fair but it's well done and it's very generous portions. The bartenders very skilled at making drinks. The server even suggested a honeybee martini which sounded very tempting, but most of us stuck to wine. The servings are very generous. The food is crisp and succulent seafood. The extravagant chipotle salmon was a little bit spicy, but well cook cooked throughout with delicate rice under it. Several people in this group have a prodigious sweet tooth, so we perused the desert menu after the meal. One couple got the triple berry tart, while my husband and I split the cheesecake. As a former New Yorker, I have high standards for cheesecake and this was a good B+ effort. It could've benefited from some caramel sauce or maybe more fruit on it. It was the perfect place to gather, to share lots of jokes and fun!

The restaurant has tremendously fine views of the bay and has additional parking for non guests. The Fish n chips was very good with the fish in contention for the best I've ever consumed. The fries were prepared with the upmost craft. Regrettable, the Cole slaw was a miss... dry. The shrimp tacos and the beans were also favored but, like the previous dish, the rice was also in need of moisture. The Steak Frites was the highlight of the table and a must order. The deserts were both fantastic but the Apple Cobbler was to die for. If you traveled 100 miles only to order the cobbler... it would be worth your time. Clearly there was a master chef behind the scenes wielding magic. Being the first night at the Inn, the Inn seems to be a hidden gem of Morro Bay. I would recommend venturing to this peaceful refuge.
