    Turkey sandwich with fries
    Anthony L.

We were hoping to catch the tail end of breakfast, but were sadly too late. Plenty on Bell has friendly service and good food. I ordered a Lavender latte and the Quackenbush Turkey sandwich. I would come back just for that latte. The sandwich was good, but a little dry. I'm sure this restaurant would've gotten 5 stars had I got to breakfast in time. The server even mentioned we should come for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy and the hash were the recommendations. Definitely willing to come back again and try breakfast. But for now it's still a solid 4 stars.

Outside patio. In late October it was perfect weather.

We stopped here for a late breakfast. First of all, our waitress was so happy and cheerful! She reminded us of Elsbeth! After checking out of a hotel where the front desk was very cranky, she was a breath of fresh air. Excellent service. We sat on the pleasant patio. We all ordered the two egg breakfast. Crispy potatoes, with pillow softness inside. Perfect eggs. A large serving of excellent quality bacon. And yummy sourdough toast. Our only minor disappointment was that with this excellent sourdough toast, they served little packets of Smuckers jam. We were really expecting some yummy quality or homemade preserves! We had a lovely time and will absolutely be back.

My girlfriend and I met at Plenty on Bell as it was halfway between our homes. The service was excellent and I forgot to get the servers name. She was very friendly and helpful. I had two eggs over medium the sausage, patty, potatoes, and sourdough toast. In the picture, I started eating and forgot to take a picture. My girlfriend had the avocado toast and an egg. She had tea and I had coffee, which was very good, and they had my raw sugar which I like. The sausage was OK. It kind of reminded me a little bit like hamburger. Everything else was great. It's a cute place. Very welcoming. You go outside to go to the bathroom, which is no big deal. They have an outside area where you could also eat, but it was not very warm yet. Oh, we both got a scone to go, mine was raspberry, and hers was blueberry. They look good. I will eat mine maybe tomorrow.

The service we had from the waitress was wonderful. She was so joyful and gave great recommendations. She was attentive but also gave us time and didn't rush us. We ate breakfast on a Wednesday morning and we were the only few people there. I ordered Joes scramble - delicious. Plenty of food and very flavorful. My husband ordered the short rib scramble. Both very filling and delicious. The fennel sausage was unique and tasty. We will be back again!

Cute atmosphere and great service to match. I ordered biscuits and gravy. I wasn't a fan. I usually like biscuits and gravy but this had a different taste. Maybe because it also had ham. They have a dog friendly patio yet let people bring their dog inside.

Food: 4.5. Came by Saturday around 11:20 am. There is inside and outside seating. Place was mostly empty. We were greeted upon entering and were told to seat ourselves. We picked a table in the patio. I ordered their Jesper's Short Rib Hash ($18). Food came out timely and at the right temperature. Short rib pieces were tender and flavorful. Potatoes were nice and crispy. Eggs were cooked as requested. Toast was a bit too toasted. Service was friendly and efficient.

Very cute place to eat and get coffee. I got a lavender latte. It's delicious. It's very cute inside and outdoor seating. Has a varied menu. So if you need to stop on your way up the coast or down the coast in California, this is a cute place to stop.

This is a new fave! Such a little hidden gem in the cutest little town! Fantastic service and food was amazing! Be sure to save room for the carrot cake!

Plenty On Bell is in the small community of Los Alamos, located within the wine country of the Santa Ynez Valley. Their lunch offerings are dressed up classic American fare, i.e. burgers, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. They are open for breakfast and lunch daily, except on Fridays, they also offer dinner service. The Plenty Burger was thick and juicy and is cooked to one's preference. It was excellent, as were the included fries. The Avocado Toast had grilled tomatoes, which added an enhanced flavor addition to the entree. The poached eggs were a nice addition. However, the amount of avocado was quite lacking. Service was prompt, and all employees were extremely friendly and attentive. The ambiance is enhanced by the rustic interior. There is also patio dining, where furry companions are allowed. Don't forget to use the Yelp check-in appreciation offer of a "free beverage with any entree" from Plenty On Bell and Yelp.

Very good pancake and nice size.

Coffee good, OJ fresh, prices ok, portions for breakfast not very big. Service good. Ordered the short rib hash and it was very good. The potatoes were surprisingly good as I like them well done and highly seasoned and they came that way without required. Service was very good and perky. I have to say that I can only guess that my scrambled eggs were a mistake. Looked like they started making fried eggs and forgot I ordered scrambles and instead of starting over properly they just whisked them while on the flat top. Looked like a hot mess of egg whites and some cooked yolks. Really should have pointed it out but figure it took a 4.5 to a 4. I would also say the number of short rib pieces were not abundant. The meat was good but I could count how many small chunks of meat were on my plate. Had a good pancake though so would definitely recommend this place as it has a quaint vibe but the food is better cheaper and larger at Charlie's down the street. Service isn't as good and zero charm. I suggest going to both.

Coming from Santa Barbara, I got there 15 minutes early and waited outside in my car, then went to the door when it was just about seven. The blonde server who was there at 7 am Sunday 6/14 (i have seen her before) with the ponytail probably in her 40s was very snarky and condescending! She opened the door at literally two minutes of, saying you are two minutes early! But I will let you in this time. I said thanks, it is cold and misty out there smiling. She turned to me and snarled it is two minutes early! just say thank you! Ick Then when my breakfast was delivered, the "cappuccino" was just coffee with a little bit of floating almond milk in it- vs the fabulous ones with half an inch of foam the guy used to make (I am blanking on his name I am sorry I think it started with an R with the dark hair in the earring). He made a great cappuccino so this was surprising to have it just be coffee with a little milk. BTW the breakfast sandwich that was supposed to have scrambled eggs and arugula had an almost invisible tiny flat piece of fried egg White and three little arugula leaves and that's it - chocolate almond croissant had maybe one molecule of almond paste and one molecule of chocolate nothing like they used to be so I'm wondering if it is under new ownership?

What we loved: * Santa Barbara sea urchin canapé - My first time trying sea urchin and what a place to start. It literally melted in my mouth and the caviar took it to another level. * Sourdough bread & salad - The bread was warm with the perfect crust, and the salad was so fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed. Simple but unforgettable. * Bay scallop crudo - Light, bright, citrusy, and incredibly fresh. One of my favorite dishes of the night. * Chickpea panisse - Crispy on the outside, soft inside, almost like elevated chickpea fritters. Good, but not the standout. * Spring champignon pasta - Earthy, rich, and unlike any pasta I've had before. A really unique dish. * Steak au Poivre - Hands down the best dish of the night. Cooked perfectly medium with the most incredible creamy peppercorn sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor and it's honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had. * Pavlova & Brillat-Savarin - The pavlova was light and refreshing with strawberries, while the Brillat-Savarin was rich, creamy, and served with caramel and a buttery cookie. Both were excellent. The restaurant is cozy, candlelit, and intimate without feeling pretentious. Service was warm, attentive, and made the entire experience feel special. Just a heads-up: a 20% service charge is automatically added to the bill. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in California. We left already talking about when we'd come back. With not much open around us, we turned to Google for help and stumbled upon Charlie's Restaurant. What a fantastic surprise! My friend ordered a chocolate pineapple milkshake--a creative blend not listed on the menu. She thought it would be a delightful combination, and she was absolutely right. Meanwhile, I went for the Nachos Supreme, and let me tell you, they are hands down the best nachos I've ever had at 70 years old! The chips were perfectly crisp, topped with homemade refried beans, creamy sour cream, cheese, fresh guacamole, and chopped tomatoes. Each bite was a flavor explosion! The restaurant itself isn't flashy; in fact, it took us a moment to spot the sign, which was partly hidden by a hedge. But stepping inside was a treat! We chose to sit in the charming garden, where a lovely mural added to the ambiance. The dining room is small and rustic, creating a cozy atmosphere that felt inviting. The service was exceptional, with a friendly young couple attending to us. The young man even took the time to sit with us, asking where we were from and sharing tips about nearby treasures. It's refreshing to experience such genuine, old-fashioned customer service these days. I can't recommend Charlie's enough! Their extensive menu is full of tempting options, and the mouthwatering aromas made it hard to resist trying more. They have main floor seating, a balcony, and a back patio, so request your spot when making a reservation. DRINKS: They have a full bar and the cocktails we've tried were very well made. The wine list is primarily Lumen wines, but there are some other local and old-world wines available, and some alcohol-free cocktails and beer too. On our first visit, we tried a Lumen wine tasting flight consisting of a '21 Chardonnay, a '21 Pinot Noir, and a '21 Grenache, and a couple extra pours, like the Escence orange wine and the "Hey Ginger" Pet Nat (check out my separate review for Lumen Wines). FOOD: We've eaten something on all three visits and everything we've tried has been very good. The menu is seasonal, so it's ever changing. The appetizers/entrées we've tried are the Wedge Salad, Kabocha Salad, Grilled Carrots, Avocado Crudo, Channel Island Squid, Steak Tartare, Pico Burger, and Rabbit Carnitas Tostadas. The food is well-seasoned and prepared as ordered. The kitchen seems to work well with the wait staff to coordinate when courses are delivered, so you're not getting everything at once. The workflow is smooth, and the young ladies working there were incredibly nice, polite, and helpful. They quickly answered questions, and the food was brought right to the table. I just wish the kitchen's output matched the standard set by the front-of-house staff. The food and drinks were generally underwhelming. The orange juice was disappointing and tasted far from fresh--honestly, a high-pulp Tropicana from the grocery store would have been a massive upgrade. My date, Ellalina, had one sip and gave up on the OJ. The chorizo and eggs were completely average and totally lacked any sort of seasoning. Thankfully, the tables are stocked with hot sauce, salt, and pepper to help inject some much-needed flavor. On the plus side, it is priced very reasonably compared to some of the other pricey breakfast options in the immediate area. The ambiance is quite pleasant. The indoor space features a decent amount of seating, and it looks like there might even be an additional back room available. However, the real draw is the outdoor patio seating. Equipped with shade umbrellas, it's a great little setup to sit outside, relax, and take in the main street traffic. It's a convenient, budget-friendly stop with a very sweet staff, but the kitchen needs to step up the seasoning game.

Each couple split a cup and it was incredible! Then had the Santa Maria tri-tip with chimichurri and duck fat fries. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the fries were also. Our server, Ernesto, could not have been nicer. Definitely a recommended restaurant, and we all said we would return the next time we are up in Santa Ynez.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The…read moreservice was attentive and everything felt easy and relaxed. We absolutely love the corgi theme. It adds so much personality and charm to the space without feeling gimmicky. The shop has a cozy ambiance, but the standout feature for us was the huge back patio. It is spacious, peaceful, and ideal for getting work done with a laptop, or even with big groups of people. The patio covers provide plenty of shade so the sun does not feel overwhelming, and the WiFi was strong and reliable. We ordered hibiscus iced teas, and they were delicious. It was perfect for an 80 degree day. Overall, a great little coffee shop.

The space is super eclectic and I dig it. My barista was…read moresuper nice. Vanilla latte was not strong enough and needed an extra shot of espresso. My barista informed that all drinks are two shots so I would recommend the 12oz instead of the 16oz or ask for an extra shot if you're a caffeine lover. There is a great outdoor space for the nice days and a cozy bookstore area for those looking for a calmer atmosphere. Restroom is clean but there is only one as far as I saw which thankfully was not busy. Parking is all residential but it seems like there is plenty and for those looking to do work on their laptops there are definitely plenty of outlets so enjoy. Thanks Lefty's, maybe I'll stop in next time I'm in the area.
