We happen to be in town for the wifey's birthday weekend. After doing some research, I knew this Olive + Lavender farm would be a great spot to check out. Glad we added it to the itinerary. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. The olive oil tasting farm is located in a nice neighborhood area in downtown Los Olivos. There is parking accessible in the back parking lot and limited parking next to the olive oil tasting area and boutique shop. As soon as we parked and headed to the olive oil tasting area, we were greeted by a very friendly and hospitable staff member. I appreciated all the information she told us about the property and instructions about the olive oil tasting experience. Their complimentary olive oil tasting was unique and unlike any other olive oil tasting I had ever done before. There were 10 different olive oils to taste from. You are given a freshly made sourdough bread slice to go along with a tray with a menu sheet of all the olive oils. Some of the olive oils that stood out to me were the white truffle, garlic, and Italian honey. We were then encouraged to explore the rest of the property where there was a charcuterie cart, pottery vendor, and complimentary wine tasting on the other side of the premises. This enhanced our olive oil tasting experience even more. The rest of the property was beautiful as there were a lot of tables and chairs for guests to enjoy. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Olive + Lavender Farms. The staff were nice and accommodating. The vibe was relaxing and inviting. The boutique shop were selling a lot of wonderful and distinctive local products in the area. The olive oils price point are in the higher end. Such a gem of a place. Popped in to hopefully buy some lavender plants in pots. And while they don't sell lavender to plant (why not!?), they had a lovely selection of other things. We did a free olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting, and both my friend and I bought a bottle of habanero olive oil, so yummy! They sell bundles of lavender, soaps, cute kitchen things, candles etc etc. A great stop to pick up some gifts and great way to support local businesses. read more

We wanted to do something non-wine in this relaxing region. It did not disappoint. Gorgeous retail space and grounds. So well branded. Bread is served with the free olive oil and vinegar tasting which you take to the outdoor patio. There is a bubbling creek making the most lovely water noise as you try these delicious olive oils outdoors. Staff were very knowledgeable and kind. I personally loved the Santa Ynez Herbal Blend. The pours that they sell are amazing and a must for the bottles. I've since ordered more oil and pours online. Lovely gift for corporate, birthdays, and friends who love to cook. The hostess Haley was very welcoming. She was very informative with the different olive oils and balsamic vinegar tasting. This is the first time I've experienced an olive oil tasting with a variety tray. Very classy. My favorite pairing was White Truffle Olive Oil & Italian Honey Balsamic Vinegar. What's even better is that it's complimentary. Their retail store had a variety of lavender products as well as all the different olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting bottles. I cannot recommend Olive + Lavender Farms highly enough. From the moment you arrive, it feels like a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Los Olivos. They offer a complimentary olive oil tasting, allowing you to truly appreciate the depth and character of each variety. The fresh bread served alongside the tasting is crafted from scratch in nearby Los Alamos at Bob's Well Bread Bakery, and it is delicious. A few of my personal favorites were the Santa Ynez, Garlic, and Habanero olive oils. The Garlic was so outstanding that I immediately purchased a bottle to take home. It is incredibly versatile. The setting itself is just as memorable as the tasting. There is ample charming outdoor seating beside a small creek, and the gentle sound of flowing water creates a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere. The vibes are truly immaculate. Inside, the shop is beautifully styled and filled with thoughtfully selected gifts and, of course, an impressive array of olive oils available for purchase. Hayley (sorry if it's spelled wrong) was especially warm and helpful, making the visit feel welcoming. They also offer WiFi, which allowed us to linger a bit longer and get some work done. A great experience. Cute outdoor space for pets, kids, and adults. The free olive oil tasting also gave us 7 different oils and 2 vinegars to sample with pieces of bread to enjoy. My favorite are the white truffle, SY herbal blend, and garlic olive oil for the flavored oils. The arbequina and korineiki were great balanced flavors. We were in Santa Barbara for a girl's trip and wanted to head to Solvang for a bit. I love trying different olive oil so we found this place that was about 10-15 minutes from Solvang. This place is so cute. There are two different entry. There is one entry in the front with limited parking so we parked on the other side which gave us a look at how big this place is. Walking around was really peaceful and calm. There also a couple of cute places to take pictures. There wasn't many people there when we arrived. I want to say maybe three group of people during our whole time there. The shopping area is pretty small. Its has two areas. One with all the different oils and other things they sell and the other side is where you would pay and get your free olive oil samples. We were able to try a tray for three people and we got a piece of sourdough each to dip it in. I really like the sourdough and I love trying all the different type of olive oil. In the tasting was 8 different olive oil and two balsamic. They even had a really spicy one, it was the habanero one. They do have a cute outside seating area where you take your tray to try or just hang out. I really think their logo and container are really cute. Overall, if you're looking for some olive oil come stop on by and give theirs a try. read more

I've had Olive + Lavender Farms on my radar for awhile now. I finally had the opportunity to check it out. This little gem is tucked away in the heart of Los Olivos. I loved walking the grounds here. It's so peaceful and offers plenty of seating to relax and soak up nature. They offer a free olive oil tasting with fresh pieces of bread provided for dipping. You can expect to taste various flavors of organic cold pressed olive oil. Such as garlic, herbal blend, lemon infused, habañero infused, white truffle and more! My favorite was the lemon, garlic and the herbal blend. I also sampled a couple of organic balsamic vinegars. I loved the barrel aged one. It was nice to sit outside in their beautiful patio. Each olive oil was explained to us before trying. I appreciate the helpful staff on our visit. They also have a simple yet inviting curated store. Offering lavender products, soaps, candles, ceramics, totes, and cute gifts. On my visit they had a pop-up event featuring a Charm Bar from Coastal Charm and a Matcha bar from Verto's. I rarely order an iced matcha drink, but the ones they were making looked so good. I tried the strawberry matcha, which was perfect and yummy! Absolutely beautiful. The most gorgeous area, filled with olive trees, fields of lavender, and so much more. The ambiance upon walking in just makes you feel at peace. The playlist they had playing at that very moment was perfect in every way... first song playing when we got there: "The Roads" by Jonah Kagen. Give it a listen. Everything after that was equally as calming. There's a cute corner with the most tastefully decorated airstream, both inside and outside of it... with a nice seating area in both. We had a good sit down, just relaxing, enjoying each other's company, and soaking in the beauty around us. After that... You'd walk towards the greenhouse, beautiful garden, a swing chair to sit and look cute on... just amazing!! The property on the land is a home I can only dream to have!! The owner happened to walk by as we fell in love... she was very nice. We followed her on over to where the shop was. I wish I had all the money in the world so that I could've bought everything in that shop. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, the products being sold were top teir... especially their olive oils. Theres's also a tasting area (as if this place couldn't get any better) so we got to sample a bunch of the different olive oils. They were phenomenal. We had a few favorites out of the bunch... I personally loved the Truffle, the Habanero one, and the Garlic. You can tell just by looking around just how much love and care they put into this place. So peaceful when you walk in ( try parking on the other side so you can walk down the lavender path) It was so quick but customer service was amazing! If you could squeeze only one place in your trip through Los Olivos. This would have to be it! The absolute cutest olive oil setting and shop. The olive oil tasting was delicious and plentiful. The garlic, truffle, balsamic were some of my top faves but they were all good. The setting was farm chic. The shop has literally the cutest items and walked out with some pottery. One of my absolute favorites stops when in Santa Ynez Valley. This farm is beautiful, super bloom happening now. So many cute seating areas all over the property. The ambiance here is amazing. You can taste olive oil and vinegar while taking a break from the busy city life. Omg! The most adorable, beautiful, earthy vibes store I've ever seen. I loved it! There's a window opened across the back of this store with a backdrop of beautiful trees and a peaceful stream. Serenity at its finest. They have amazing gifts and decor. I purchased a lovely candle and some Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You can do an olive oil/balsamic tasting in the room off to the side of the store. We appreciated the bread given for the tasting, because it's easier to tell which oil you like eating it with rather than just sipping oil. The only thing I'd say is we waited at a table for 10 minutes while the young girl poured oils for the only other table in there, then proceeded to pour and prep oils. After 10 minutes we asked if we could do the tasting and she said "oh ya I'm sorry." We were just waiting right in front of her for 10 minutes. She just wasn't paying attention. Other than that, it was a great experience. I recommend doing the tasting! You will definitely be buying some olive oil and/or balsamic if you do! Get the Arbequina Olive Oil! The Lemon, White Truffle, Garlic Herb, and Garlic were my other favorites! read more

Arrived for olive oil tasting with my wife and we were pleasantly surprised to the sound of live music being played in their seating area. Enjoyed some lovely tunes while indulging in the complimentary tasting. The grounds itself is very lovely with bocce ball and cornhole along their walking area. Olive + Lavender is such a beautiful, thoughtfully curated gem. During a stay in the area, we were looking for an alternative to a winery tour / tasting, and found Olive + Lavender. The entire place is so well-planned with close attention to aesthetic detail. It has lots of cute areas (like the patio, greenhouse and airstream decorated as a music studio) to explore, relax, and take in the scenery around you. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting is complimentary and absolutely delicious. Personal favorites were the lemon and herb oils and the honey balsamic. Great place to shop and taste olive oil. Kind of wished there were more trees and/or lavender on the property to view and enjoy, but from what I understand the bulk of their crops were off property. There were a couple of green houses and a trailer but nothing exciting in them when we visited. The shop is top notch though. A great place to get a quality gift or souvenir while in town. I have my friends and family addicted to their Greek and flavored olive oils now. We use the garlic oil regularly to roast veggies and the herbal blend for bread dipping. So delicious! read more

This place is a hidden gem!! If you're seeking a beautiful and restful place to stop by, this is it! There is free olive oil tastings which are sooo delicious with great specialty flavors. There is a shaded seating/tasting area that looks like a backyard out of a design magazine! Next to the tasting area is the shop where you can purchase cute items and any of the olive oil or vinegarettes! I loved this place because it's dog friendly, and our pup got to meet the owners dog :) Finally, there are several cute other areas to rest/enjoy including seating underneath a giant oak tree in front of an airstream, a white garden swing that seats 2 or more, and a corn hole toss with seating for two (enclosed so you can keep your pup in with you!) Found this local gem on a recent trip to Solvang/Santa Ynez/Los Olivos. It's a beautiful location and the family owners are amazing and very friendly. I've purchased several high-end brands of Olive Oil at Whole Foods, however I was taken by surprise regarding the flavor and quality of their oils. The Habanero Olive Oil is my favorite by far and literally put it on everything!!! The Italian Honey Balsamic Vinegar is also a must have and my daughter's favorite. Can't wait to plan my next trip to re-stock and would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. read more
