The on/off switch for our gas fireplace was not functional (it was original to the house, which was built in 2000). Our technician arrived on time, diagnosed the issue and commenced replacement of the switch (using the parts my nephew purchased). All in all, the repair took about 30 minutes (from the time he arrived to when he left). Now I have happy dogs (because they live in front of the fireplace during winter). After calling several companies, I called The Electric Company to put a ceiling fan up in our 20 foot ceiling. Most of the other companies couldn't handle this job; didn't call back; or weren't taking new customers. The installing company had to have the 16' step ladder (not an extension ladder), which weighs ~100 pounds; two people to carry it; and the experience putting up ceiling fans. I suspect most electrical contractors will have the experience in the ceiling fan installation, however. I did put the fan together ahead of time which may have saved an additional hour, which might have been an additional ~$300 for two people. No photos available, but the fan (a 6' Minka-Aire brand) looks great along with its 6' down-rod. read more

No job seems to be too big or too small for them. They have done everything from simple rewiring a plug to trenching and conduit for an extensive rewire of an outdoor fountain. And they are problem solvers who make excellent recommendations as to how to fix recurring problems. They figured out how to reconfigure the GFI plug behind my wash machine that kept tripping and relocate it at the breaker box so I do not have to move the wash machine every time it trips. My light fell out of the wall when I was dusting it. I was nervouse about this light hanging on wires. Electricity scares me. I phoned their office and a friendly, courteous person answered. She didn't make me feel silly about being scared and said she would check the schedules to see the soonest she could get someone to come to my home. The electrician Kris came out that very afternoon. He fixed the light even better than when it was first put in. He even caulked around the base which had never been done before. He was friendly, courteous and professional. Was brought in by the high reviews, but left dissatisfied with the work, the communication, the timeline, and hidden expenses. The quote was supposed to be sent out within 2 days of the visit. It was sent a week later and for the wrong house. Should have realized this company didn't have it together at this point but after some phone calls and the estimator returning to we finally got the "correct" quote. The crew then came out to perform work on the house, mostly to run some ground wires for electrical outlets (did approximately 3/4s of the work here), the technicians missed a lot of holes coming up from the basement/crawl space and drilled through the floor. Further we had some work quoted to install overhead fan controls to a switch, and on the last day the technician said it was only to install the switch and not the wire running from the fan to the switch. All said and done they said the total work done costs more money than the original quote after drilling holes in the floor and not completing all the work that was quoted. We did not pay more than quoted and will never use their services again. read more

This company does not stand behind their products, and if whatever they installed stops working a year later, they tell you they can't come back to your house because you are on their so called DO NOT RETURN TO YOUR PROPERTY LIST. A year ago I paid $700 cash to have three lights installed on the outside of my house for security by this company. One of the lights stopped working a few months later, so I called them. When the older man came out he was angry and said our warranty had ALMOST expired. He said he would replace the light but that this one wasn't any good they didn't even have this kind any longer. Again last month it went out, I called them again,and the receptionist said we were on the DO NOT SERVICE LIST. I asked her why and she said she didn't know. She said our warranty had expired. I asked her could she at least tell me what kind the bulb was. When she looked it up she said they STOPPED CARRYING THIS KIND because they were no good to begin with. And we were put on the DO NOT GO BACK TO THIS PROPERTY LIST. So it sounds like they put you on this list after they get your money. Absolutely do not go with this company because after they install whatever you need, and it quits working, they say too bad so sad!!! They were nice when they installed the lights, not afterwards. Also he took our fixtures when he came out to install the lights, and my daughter saw them on Ebay he had sold them for a lot of money, they were old and vintage. 9/15/19 this is my third time using this company in my home. I've been having a problem with my swamp cooler not wanting to run on high fan. Jason was the technician that came out in the afternoon for a troubleshoot of my switch and the amps that are being pulled to run the swamp cooler. He isolated the circuit for the amps running from the electrical box and found that it was well below maximum for that circuit. I appreciated that Jason wore a mask to protect himself and he kept me informed of his progress throughout his two hours here. I highly recommend this company for your electrical needs. As a retired contractor of 30 years, there's a sign of the troubles that will start. If contractors are not responsive in the beginning, they certainly will not be in the end. It will be less frustrating for me to buy airline tickets and import my friends to do the job. Don't bother Brandon. I'm a can say, will do person. I hire people that are responsive, and for the record. What is the definition of busy? Having a ton of estimates in a que gets you nothing. I telephoned the Electric company and scheduled them to come out and put in a 50 amp line for a new stove top I am purchasing. In lieu of a bid, I informed them I didn't want a bid, I wanted them to come out and do the work. They said that was not a problem, that I would be charged time plus materials and my start time was scheduled for September 10th at noon. I informed her that the person would need the line for 50 amps, four prong plug and that he would need two joint boxes and if he only wanted to use one joint box, the person could cut the back of the cupboard out and drill up to set the wire in the actual wall. The service box has two blank spaces next to each other because I knew I would be doing this. I explain to the person on the phone that I had the new stove top coming and had scheduled the granite guy to shave the granite so the new stovetop could be installed. I currently have a gas stovetop. She said it would be no problem. The day he was supposed to come out and do the work, I again talked to a person in the office to make sure the technician would have 50 amp line and the joint boxes because I didn't want him to have to go back and get them, since I am paying for time and materials. I wanted the technician to be prepared. She told me not to worry. Well the technician who came to do the job, refused to do the job, said he didn't bring the correct materials to do the job-even after not once but twice my telling them what materials would be needed-and he told me he wasn't going to do this job, that he would take pictures so they could bid it and let me know that the job wouldn't be done until September 25th, long after my new stovetop arrived and after the granite guy-who had to be cancelled would have arrived. His boss came up with a solution that they could set a plug that wouldn't work and come back on the 25th so that I could be without a stovetop for 15 days. There is no excuse for the behavior of this company and I will not be hiring them again. They did send me a bid that was $278 less than one of their competitors and I hired the competitor who will be doing the job shortly and will arrive ready to do the job without excuses. Electric company caused problems down the line as other people had to be cancelled and couldn't be rescheduled in a timely manner. I was on the granite guys list and waited to get a time and planned accordingly to schedule work to be done on the wiring, not a bid. I would not not hire this company as what they say and what they do are two entirely different things, especially if you plan on them doing something in a timely manner so that other people can do their jobs. read more

There was no pressure from Dan to higher them and he was professional and answered all my questions and gave me options. I scheduled the work and it was done a week later. Jeff, the electrician, arrived on time after the office called me to inform me, he was on the way. Jeff allowed me to watch his work for a short time and did not mind answering my questions while he was working. The job was completed, and the price was fair in my opinion.
