Angelita is my seamstress at this store and she is very efficient, skilled, and very sweet! This is a small family business that does a lot of services including school team uniform and others. The location of the office is in a residential area and it's a half home/ work space. It is right behind a small coffee shop on Doolittle. I had my wedding dress hemmed with Angelita and she did a wonderful job! It had several layers including layers of tulle and a somewhat long train behind it. I only needed a simple hemming so that I can at least walk in my dress during the wedding and she was the perfect person to do it. If you are looking for basic hemming, this is definitely your go to place. She even helped added extra buttons and secure the clasp for the top section of my wedding dress so that it would be extra secure. There are not a lot of seamstress in San Leandro. Upon searching for wedding dress seamstress in this area, there are a lot that have great reviews but I feel those are more for ladies who need a lot of extra work on the wedding dress like changing the look of the dress; for simple hemming, Angelita is great! I love this place!!! Last year I took my dress over and I needed to have it shorten from a floor length to a party dress, and I needed it in 3 days. She said no problem and the next morning we get a call saying it was done and to come pick it up if we wanted. Get there and it was prefect, and she only wanted to charge us $40. Needless to say we gave her a huge tip, for not only doing it on such short notice and doing such a great job. And again this year I took two dresses over, one needed it to be fitted and shorten and the other to just be short and the front to be fixed and she wants to charge us $75. Found this place on yelp and I was not let down. I needed my dress from David's Bridal to be altered. It was way too long. My cousin was quoted $45 from them and the timeline was a whole month! I came in here, was measured and quoted $15. I also brought my sister's dress and my dad's pants. $45 for all 3! The seamstress had all 3 done by the next day and they looked great! If I ever need anything else altered I'm definitely coming here. Call first because the seamstress is not in everyday. Also, bring cash because the credit card machine doesn't always work. read more

I was looking for a local place to do alterations on a bridesmaid dress. It wasn't fitting great, and I didn't know exactly what I needed done, but was hoping that some professional and experienced eye could give me a once over and a few words of advice. I called about 4 places in the area and the lady here was the first and only person to call me back. Winner, winner chicken dinner! When I asked for a quote, she said she needed to see the dress to know what she was working with. I appreciated her honesty. This place is located on a corner near a convenience store and it looks like it has been there forever. It looks like the majority of their business is in uniforms. The parking lot next to the little house-store is small, but I always found a spot and I never ran into another customer while I was there. I tried on my dress and she was a true professional. You could tell she'd been doing this for decades. To take in a little at the bust, shorten the sleeve straps and shorten the whole thing, it was only $40. Quite a steal! My dress was done early and it was just what I had ordered. I think it's so important to patronize these little mom and pop places. Easy to find cute little place, I took my David's Bridal bridesmaid dress here for alterations. DB quoted me $140 to shorten the dress...took it to a place in Oakland that specialized in formalwear alterations, was quoted $100. Took it to Elegant Creations, and she was patient, had me try it on, pinned and pinned away until we got to the agreed upon changes... 3 layers of fabric... price? $20. I thought she meant per layer, still a great deal! But nope, she meant for the whole dress.... Take that DB! I haven't gotten the dress back yet but this is a review of prices, customer service and overal ju-ju. Will update when I get my dress back. read more

I brought my bridesmaid dress in to get it shortened and tightened. All of the other bridesmaids had to get the same exact thing done but every one of them got their alterations done at different places. They were quoted $28, $30 even up to $70 with a 2 week pick up time at the other places. I brought my dress in on a Wednesday. A very nice old lady did my fitting and quoted me $20. $10 for the shortening and $10 for the tightening. She told me to come pick it up in one week. She actually called me the very next day and told me my dress is ready. So I picked it up on friday and it was done exactly how I expected it to be done. Perfect. The shop might not be the best looking shop and could probably use a little de-cluttering but I overlooked that due to her customer service and affordability. Will definitely come here again with all my future alterations. read more

She had me try on the dress and measured, and it was ready in two days, when she quoted me a week. The price was amazing too. I think it only cost around $30. He was very responsive through emails, sent mock-up pictures, basically asked us what color we wanted, any inspiration photos we sent, and he'd have the mock-up pic within a day. very satisfied with the alteration. brought my bridesmaid dress to get it hemmed. my dress is a maxi chiffon dress with two layers of garment. i was charged $30. i got it the following the day. the length is just perfect. and the quality of stitching is professionally done and very clean. will definitely come back here to alter complex/intricate clothing: gowns, dress, suits etc.. very pleasant customer service as well. i would have given it 5 stars but i also had my pants shortened and was quoted $9, which I think is pretty expensive considering that i got the pants for only $15. maybe if it was an expensive pair of jeans, i'd be more than willing to spend that much. but for regular pants/jeans, there are other places that will charge for as cheap as $4. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone. I needed my bridesmaid dress fixed within a week due to having a baby and being in a wedding 2 weeks later. I picked this business due to the reviews I read. I came all the way from the Central Valley. What a disappointment. I was charged $40 to have the sides taken in and shorten the dress. When I picked up my dress on Thursday (which was promised to be done by Wednesday), I was not offered to try it on before I paid and left. When I tried my dress on at home, I discovered that my dress wasn't even fixed. The sides were not taken in. The hanger ribbons were still intact, if the sides were fixed then they would have been cut off. The dress was shorten very little. It was not fixed to how short I needed it. The hem was HORRIBLE. You could see the stitching and to top it off, it wasn't even. WORST experience ever. I contacted the owner to request a refund due to the poor quality of work and lack of work. He said he would "make it right" if I mailed my dress back to them. I did not need me dress fixed anymore, the wedding was already over. He still wanted me to send my dress so he could see the dress. He told me he would send me shipping label so I could mail the dress instead of wasting my time driving back down from the Central Valley. It has been over 2 months, no call back, no email, no shipping label and no refund. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only gave it 1 star because it wouldn't allow me to do no stars. read more
