Jules took over halfway and was our main point of contact after. Overall everything panned out as we wanted and Jules was helpful in adding in all the extras that we wanted to make the wedding amazing. Only note, do not leave stuff in the men's get ready room. We had a bottle of whiskey in there and it was straight up taken from the room when we went to have the ceremony so the staff or people know the room code. Besides that everything was flawless. Also, in terms of add ons I totally recommend adding drapes to cover the ugly walls and ceiling drapes as well and that's really all you need to make the wedding beautiful. Also upgrade the basic chairs to mahogany ones at the minimum.

The only issue we ran into was with the guests that had special food requests (gluten free, allergies, etc.)---there was a slight mix-up and some of them didn't get their food until much much later on in the night. The food though, was great overall! People kept talking about the chicken and the salmon. I remember the guests commenting on how delicious the food was. I remember that my husband and my sister (she went to the food tasting, since I couldn't make it from Northern California), said that they weren't too impressed during the tasting, but they really blew it out of the water for the day of! Kathy: Kathy is so sweet, friendly, and professional--very extroverted! She made sure that all the details were taken care of and the night went rather smoothly. We were a bit scared because I was checking the weather and it read: sunny, sunny, sunny, sunny, BLUSTERY, sunny, sunny. That blustery day? Wedding day. Ugh, right? But fear not, Kathy made sure it all worked out, and we were still able to do the ceremony outside! DJ Lance: GREAT guy. Super sweet, friendly, and he played such great songs. We gave him a list of songs we'd like, and he rolled with the punches and went for it. He also led our guests in a jeopardy game about my husband and me, in order to dismiss the tables for the buffet food. He projected a powerpoint of us as a couple, growing up, in our respective towns. The guests absolutely LOVED him, as did we. We are quite happy that we chose RBH. After about 10 in-person interviews of other locations, we do not regret our decision.

We enjoyed wandering through the stunning gardens, admiring the variety of trees, plants and flowers, and even watching the playful squirrels along the way. I loved the rose garden and its beautiful scent. We packed a picnic and enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board while relaxing in one of the shaded areas, which made the visit even more special. We also purchased tickets to the butterfly garden, and it was such a fun experience--definitely worth it! Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. As we were leaving, they were setting up for the Thursday evening Music in the Garden event, which looked like so much fun. We'll definitely be coming back to experience that one day as well. When I realized that they offer periodic dog walking days, and that they had a cool TROLLS exhibit going on, we decided to finally seize the day. Overall, it was pleasant and worth the drive. We are a bit spoiled in our part of LA with The Huntington, Descanso, and LA Arboretum. Based on my experiences in these places, I would say that South Coast feels more rugged in good and bad ways. The positive side is that it feels less curated and polished and more like a relaxed meander in nature. The downside is that signage was lacking, and the road into the parking lot and the lot itself were in very bad shape. Many trails are dirt, and not paved. This wasn't a problem for us, as we wore clothes suitable for dog walking (like we were going on a hike). However, it could be a surprise for people who show up in sandals. At the same time, the public art, programming, and cafe elevate the garden beyond a mere walk in the park. We really enjoyed the whimsical TROLLs and permanent pieces. We didn't participate in the butterfly exhibit or purchase food or drink, but these both looked nice. I am not sure whether we'll be back, due to the hour+ drive and our proximity to other options. However, I am glad we finally did it!

This venue is definitely a hidden gem and worth your consideration for your event.

The venue is a home in a residential area close to the San Pedro ports. We had our ceremony and reception there. TG we were able to pivot because we originally booked the Wayfarers Chapel that unfortunately is no longer. Sara made it work for us so that we did not have to completely change our plans. While there are small spaces within the outdoors, it didn't feel too disjointed. It allowed for more pockets of intimacy with your guests. The bar area is so lovely with so much character---well the whole home cas wow it's like you're stepping foot in a movie set. The greenery is kept up in such great condition and when the candle lights come on along with the outdoor fireplace at night, it is pure magic. This venue is not ordinary or cookie cutter. Everything is done up thoughtfully. It's for those that want something a little different but still has all the convenience and professionalism of a bigger venue. We went with food from Chef Dora ---also amazing, and so many styles of foods she makes!! The DJ and bartender was found by Sara as part of our package, and they did not disappoint either. My friends commented on how awesome our DJ was--one of the best they've ever had at a wedding. Sara is probably one of the biggest reasons I went with her venue. Not to say the place isn't pretty cas it is literally made of dreams, but Mama Sara is heaven-sent. She's hilarious first of all. But more importantly, she is who I want to support in this world. She's honest, down to earth, fun, incredibly driven and fierce, and loves her community. She not only makes sure your wedding plans are going well, but that your mental health is still ok too, cas she knows how wedding planning can get. Her communication will come in various forms, but she always checked in on me. And helped me figure things out when something isn't going how we wanted. She does go above and beyond to make sure the couple feels good, secure, is fed, and has fun!!! Even at the end of night til the bitter end helping to pack everything up and out!!! It was the first and only venue that I visited. After seeing it, there was absolutely no reason to keep searching. Right after I got back from Europe, where my then boyfriend had just taken me up to the top of the Eiffel Tower and proposed is when I met Sara, the manager of the Sepulveda Home. I've always had a vision of a 1920's themed wedding To me, it was a very glamorous time, everything from flapper dresses to top hats and canes, pocket watches and lots and lots of feathers. I never dreamed of a traditional wedding, one with a big poofy dress, bridesmaids, in a church with a big cheesy reception at some garbage overpriced hotel. I wanted something different and I was sure the 1920's era, Great Gatsby party would be a hit. Our meeting took place in November 2019. Upon our approach to the house I noticed it was at the top of a hill in probably the best part of San Pedro. Huge, gorgeous homes lined the tree lined street and then The Sepulveda Home appeared. I was immediately in awe and stood there on the street with my jaw dropped in anticipation of seeing the inside of this unbelievable place. Stepping up to the porch this place literally looked like something you'd see in the movies. There were ceiling fans on the porch and rocking chairs, beautiful windows, a manicured lawn and a gorgeous tree that accented the landscape. She opened the door and invited us in and I could barely contain myself. Everything was perfection. The antiques, the furniture, the kitchen....out of this world. Sara and her family had renovated this house which was the Original Sepulveda Family's home, back to its original state with some added flair. She gave us a tour and I explained my vision, which she was excited about. I decided right then there was no reason to look elsewhere and we signed a deal. Our wedding would take place on 10/24/2020. And then Covid hit..... We decided it was best to postpone the wedding for one year. Throughout that year, Sara was in touch several times to talk about more details. Sara is the most down to earth person. So easy to work with, so personable. Every time I spoke to her, it just confirmed I had made the right decision. Fast forward to 10/30/2021, my wedding day had finally arrived. And as I pulled up to The Sepulveda Home in the 1930's Packard, dressed like a Gatsby bride, Sara was outside waiting for me and after seeing how unbelievable everything looked, it took all my might not to bawl my eyes out. Sara and her team had every single detail set up and it was nothing less than perfection. I met Sara's mom, who handmade the beautiful tuxedo chair covers and all the centerpieces and she is an amazing woman. I felt like these beautiful people held my hand through the whole night and made my dream come true. Since then, Sara has become a friend a we keep in touch often. I will never forget how her entire family made my wedding day the best
