The Embarcadero stretches from the Hilton, all the way through Seaport Village, multiple parks like Tuna Harbor Park and the North and South parks, past the Midway and the Maritime Museum and beyond, along the San Diego Bay!! A very popular area, I've stayed near here almost every time I visit San Diego in one of the nearby hotels. I got in some good runs here daily, as the sidewalk is very wide, and there were plenty of other runners here, especially in the morning. Running or walking, plenty to see and do here!! read more

A friend drove us here for some sun and exercise. It was nice to catch up with her amongst the beautiful San Diego scenery. Parking was plentiful, the crowds were tolerable and it really was such a beautiful day. We saw plenty of joggers, bicyclists, families, and dogs. It was low tide, so there was someone that crawled down onto the algae covered rocks to take a look at what marine life he could find. I was not equipped to be adventurous as he, but he did look like he was having a time down there at water level! He might have been vlogging as well because he had a camera set up and whatnot. If you happen to visit my lovely hometown, I recommend you come down here and see the definition of "chill" for yourself. Relax and soak it all in, my friends. read more

There are many places that I have been to the old historical locations yet the city of San Diego the many places the large construction projects have been sitting for years this project is one that is not a good project. The many boats that have been here the docks that service cruise ships and the naval ships of the many babies that come here . Of the many groups that travel down through the board walk the many services which are located at the Embarcadero would be affected by the construction one of the largest places the Horton plaza one of the many historical places has no money for the Horton plaza Park is one that is connected to the Horton plaza Park. The Embarcadero has been one of the greatest Historical Parks to the many that served in the armed service when you walk through you see the many names and the ships that came from the Embarcadero To place a a park that is destroying the historical atmosphere yet to destroy one one of the oldest piers if you look back at the history of the piers of the many have been here since the early 1900s. The foot of Broadway was the main way to the ships for the roads from Point Loma the staff cars and trucks would come straight to the ships before they left for over seas. For the many that come to the Embarcadero you can learn so much of the history and the ferry's that go across to the Island of Coronado and Bay cruises of dinner cruises. It's not my first time coming here but it's my first time experiencing a lot more than I ever have at the Harbor/Embarcadero. On August 21, 2021, my friend and I finally booked our ride on the Patriot jet boat and that experience did not disappoint. This was our late birthday gifts to ourselves. We had a blast at 50 miles an hours or plus on the speed boat, touring the harbor, doing twist and getting wet and throwing our hands up in the air with all kinds of excitement like on this water roller coaster!!! I have been in San Diego over 20+ years and have never done their jet boat ride and I can't wait to come back and experience this time and time again with friends or family or just because. It's a thrilling 30 minute ride and worth it!!! I love walking down the Embarcadero... the smell of the hotdogs wrapped in bacon are just captivating with the fresh fruit on the side. I still need to try this TJ style hot dog and get some elote!!!!!! There's several stations set up here in there with collectibles representing San Diego, hats, jewelry all kinds of interesting things that people are selling along that nice trip that is nestled by the Harbor. Near the restrooms towards the center of the Harbor, by the Carnitas shack there's an outside bar and when the night falls the DJ was out there doing his thing turning it up people were dancing, laughing and just having a really good time. I'm not a dancer but my friend is but that didn't stop me from shaking and moving in my chair. And one can never forget the view is extraordinary. As a sunset it left this glistening liner glow in the middle of the water. It was so cool to offer couples an opportunity to take their pictures of this beautiful view. A walker's paradise where you can walk along the waterfront for miles checking out locals and tourists enjoying the fresh ocean air and sunny skies. You will find food and merchandise stores and kiosks along the way finding anything from trinkets and ice cream to high dollar sit down restaurants. On a good day you can find local musicians providing entertainment. Crowds will gather nightly to watch the sunset. I have walked the Embarcadero many times without every feeling unsafe. read more

I've had the pleasure of leisurely walks and early morning runs here when in town for conferences, and was thrilled to be back recently at a time when the trees were in bloom. Being a midwesterner, I had to look up what the beautiful purple flowering trees were, and per Google, they are Jacaranda trees. So gorgeous! There are a ton of historic ships here including the Midway, which is now a museum. I've never been able to do a tour since the hours are 10-4 which doesn't work with conference schedules, but it looks impressive from the outside! The path along the bay is peaceful in the morning, but you'll have the company of other runners and people walking their dogs, so it feels very safe. Afternoons are busier, but not insanely crowded. There are a ton of vendors along the path in designated areas selling everything from home made food items, shirts and hats to tarot card readings. There are also a lot of bricks and mortar restaurants and shops in Seaport Village which is along the path. There are a few parks as well with some nice trees if you're looking for a break in the shade. read more

The Bayside/Harborside at the Embarcadero is one of the jewels of San Diego. This area, along Harbor Drive, extends from the north, just before the airport and the US Coast Guard Station, to the southern end by the Hilton. It encompasses Waterfront Park, Broadway Pier, Midway, Tuna Harbor Park w Unconditional Surrender statue, Seaport Village, the Embarcadero Marina North & South parks, and the promenade alongside the mega yacht slips. The entire are is under the jurisdiction of the Port of San Diego, which supervises all activities fronting The Port of San Diego, which is the fourth largest of the 11 ports in California. Broadway Pier, as a central core, along with the Midway and Waterfront Park, sit on scenic San Diego Bay along San Diego's North Embarcadero, a major tourist mecca. A monumental temporary public art exhibit is now on display on the waterfront of San Diego Bay. There are numerous public art displays, including "Our Silences," by the Mexican artist Rivelino. This is a monumental temporary public art exhibit now on display on the waterfront of San Diego Bay. There is a large collection of U.S. military heritage art in Tuna Harbor Park, on the shore of San Diego Bay. This commemorates a generation of Americans who grew during the Great Depression, went on to fight in World War II and later helped build and shape the post-war America we know today. The spirit of those men and women is felt here. Some notable examples are: Homecoming, Battle of Leyte Gulf Memorial & Admiral Sprague Bust, Unconditional Surrender, and the Bob Hope Tribute. The San Diego Unified Port District, as administrator of the Trust, does an excellent job of protecting the Tidelands Trust resources by providing economic vitality and community benefit through a balanced approach to maritime industry, tourism, water and land recreation, environmental stewardship and public safety. Another beautiful bayside view. I have to commend San Diego for building such a long and big walking path from the top of Little Italy all the way past the convention centre. It gives you a spectacular view of all the boats, cruise ships, and water while being able to leisurely walking or quickly running. Most seaside walkways can be smelly... or worse, sketchy. The San Diego has kept the entire area feeling safe, open, and super clean. I'm amazed how well it's kept. I walked this area one afternoon and say a lot of families enjoying the day here. Whether they were using the pier to get onto the Coronado ferry, take in the Marine Ship museum, or just enjoy the sun in a relaxing setting. I believe this area includes the stoic and amazing USS Midway which is a must do even if you're not avid read of military history. It's such an interesting view to see the inner workings of an incredible feat of engineering. There are also many Military statues commemorating either fleets, achievements, or key moments in history. Some are sobering but it's still good to see. Overall, just a wonderful way to see the beauty of San Diego's bay. Definitely take the time to spend one or two hours walking this area. read more

The breeze, the salty air, the ships and water.. what more do you need? This area is such a jewel for San Diego. This is where you can catch the cruise ship out of port, the ferry to Coronado, check out the maritime museum, the USS Midway, and a lot more. You can very easily walk from one end all the way to the convention center if your heart desires. Simple walk to seaport village as well. Parking is everywhere, mostly with meters to pay. You can also find parking at seaport village if you need or behind the midway. Street parking is optional along pacific highway or even on broadway street if needed. I'm so very glad that Disney cruises will be here more often now that San Diego got a contract with them and the port! That'll be really cool to see them pull in once in a while. Also, the sunset view from this point is great. Perfect place to get some seafood and just sit back, relax and enjoy a sunset here in beautiful San Diego, along the famous harbor line of the city. read more

This is a wonderful spot to walk. It's a great walking tour that takes you past floating museums and a couple of great restaurants. You have some of the best views looking across the Harbor. You can take cruises of the bay from here it's a nice way to spend time. read more
