All I am saying is, if your family hops in SUV to drive all the way across town, just make sure you understand it is ONE house, (1), singular..not plural. PERIOD. Just ONE house that does lights. Now, that 1 house is an incredible sight to see, as you can tell from the photos and videos posted online and on yelp. They support a wonderful cause, we donated in the cute donation box set up in the front - the music is wonderful, the lighting goes perfectly - it is a synchronized light show - I mean, they did it right.... I just wanted to clarify for anyone that turns right on BELARDO and thinks...why are none of these houses lit up, why is it so dark, why does no one have lights...well...ya gotta keep on driving until ya get to the one house. Perhaps change the name to BELARDO HOME or HOME ON BELARDO or Belardo light show. That's all, carry on. xoxo

It is located right by Santana High School, which they open for parking and bathrooms! So there will always be a spot to park, even if it's a little far. We usually drive it though, since it's like one huge circle of a street. There's beautifully lit houses, light shows, art, and blow ups out! A good portion of the houses also had stands in front of them where they sold hot chocolate, tameles (one of the best I've ever had), macrons, kettle corn, cup of noodles, hot apple cider, and other holiday snacks! You can drive it as many times as you want, just look out for people walking! I highly recommend this is a free holiday must see in San Diego.

This home...I actually don't think it is even that. The house looks like a normal home, and WOW it is extremely difficult to even see this house. The road to get here is extremely steep, NARROW, fast-moving with irritated drivers, and absolutely no parking. There is also a lot of construction going on throughout the road. I'm so glad we stayed in this neighborhood over Gaslamp, as that was on my radar too but sounded like it may have been too wild. We didn't have a car, so parking wasn't a problem, and public transportation was close by. It was also easy to call for a Lyft. I also appreciated how close it was to the airport. I'd absolutely stay in Little Italy again in the future if the price permits!

My main goal was to explore the walkability, public transport options, and lodging choices. I would give Little Italy an A+ in all three categories! Throughout the district you'll find Italian restaurants at every corner, mini-marts, and boutique stores. If you'd like to vacation here, you can literally spend a couple of days in Little Italy and have everything you need in one spot. A trolley station is available near the center of the main hub and there's plenty of hotels! I wouldn't stay over the Summer as prices are exorbitantly high, I'd visit during the off season. July would be the worst month to stay in my opinion! Little Italy has a massive plaza with bistro-style tables and chairs open to the public. I couldn't help but notice the fact that I felt transported to Italy! Several restaurant owners had an Italian accent or spoke Italian. Additionally, the aroma of pizzerias and pubs were quite enticing. If you're into sports, there's several locations with screens for watching live events. My only issue with Little Italy is the lack of parking. Everywhere you go, street parking and paid parking is FULL. You'll be lucky to find a spot during the summer season. I found a spot after half an hour of circling the vicinity like a San Diego shark. The city needs to create more underground lots or more street parking.

Cute town.. walk to all the little places on the road. Too bad they close so early..! Seems like a tourist spot. Unfortunately, the locals here are not that friendly or talkative. Seems odd since I'm sure it brings a lot of visitors to the area. Nonetheless, it's a nice morning stroll before anything is open. The gorgeous backdrop mountains. Lots of street parking, paid parking lots, and business lots. The streets feel super right. So drive slow and watch for pedestrians.
