We first saw Emotion Picture Studios on a preferred vendor list and after reviewing some sample work they sent us and reading reviews on other wedding sites, we decided to go with them. Marc and company were very communicative and answered our many questions in the lead-up to the wedding. They have you fill out a questionnaire which gets you to think about which style of video you'd like, documentary or cinematic, and which songs you'd like included. We opted for cinematic. A few days prior to the wedding, we were notified that Jessica would be our videographer. She showed up right on time the day of the wedding after verifying which rooms we'd be getting ready in. Jessica was lovely to work with and it helped she also got along great with our photographers (I think she'd worked with some of them before). Right on schedule, about two months later, she reached out to us to let us know that both our trailer and our full wedding video were ready. The videos did not disappoint; they were equal parts beautiful and touching and included several of our favorite wedding songs including our first dance song. It was the right call for us to opt for cinematic; it was very moving to watch our wedding day unfold as if it was a shorter feature length film. We asked for our full video to include the entirety of both of our vows and it was wonderful to have those both captured. Marc and the Emotion Picture Studio was recommend to us by our photographer, and are we glad we went with them! Marc and Lorelei tag teamed to film our big day, from our getting ready, first look, ceremony, and post-ceremony portraits, to all of the festivities in our reception. We began with Marc early in the morning. He had a great sense of humor, which put my husband and I at ease. We're both camera shy, and we weren't certain about how we'd do with a videographer following us around, but we both agreed that we hardly noticed Marc was there. In the evening, Lorelei was just as subtle; she truly was like a fly on the wall but was capturing each and every moment. Communication was via e-mail, and it was a breeze. We had access to an online portal and questionnaires to better aid the team when they edited our film. Marc was very patient and understanding when I didn't make the deadlines; thank you for this! It was a tad challenging to wait two months for the finished product, but it was well worth it. My husband and I are amazed at the cinematography and the details that were captured to piece our story together. The Emotion Picture Studio took great care in listening to what we wanted in our video, as well as exercising their expertise and creative license to merge our musical preferences with the best selection of film to create a masterpiece. I don't like to post bad reviews and I thought long about posting one here. I used this company for our wedding. I spent over $250k on our wedding at Disneyland and decided to use this company for videography. The sound during the film is different in many places so we have to adjust the volume. The editing was the sloppiest. Looks like they just threw a bunch of stuff together. I called Mark to tell him I was unhappy with the final film he sent me and he had the nerve to tell me he would charge to edit it again. It is a terrible video and just embarrassing to show people. They won't edit your video as you would like it so beware before hiring them. Most of the time they just stuck a camera on a tripod and did nothing. read more

We were beyond amazed by Emotion Picture Studio. About 3 weeks prior to our wedding we realized that we absolutely had to make room in our budget for a videographer. Marc was very professional. I called him with just a week's notice because my sister in law wanted to have a video of her husband's funeral. Although Marc couldn't attend, he did send a videographer (I'm blanking out on her name) who was lovely. She was very professional and sympathetic to our needs during this difficult time. Although the first draft of the video didn't download properly, Marc was great and made sure it was right the second time (which was still received in less than a month after the event). I have to say that I am overall very disappointed with our Emotion Picture Studio wedding video (Cinematic Short). The audio quality was very poor. The only person that could be heard clearly during our vows was our friend who was officiating the wedding. I was not given a microphone for my vows (which I was told I would be getting), and even my now husband who DID have a microphone can not be heard clearly on the video. During our first dance, a stationary camera was used to capture the moment. There was no videographer manning the camera, and as a result the back of my sister's head blocked a good portion of the video. This was later edited when I asked, but of course, there was no way to completely edit it out. Finally, we were asked to provide 6-8 songs for the video. I had expected that a sampling of most of the songs would be used for the video. Instead, only 3 or 4 songs were used in total which made the video overall less interesting to watch. Also, our first dance (a slow number) was shown during the cinematic short with a very upbeat, club-like song playing; it just didn't fit the feeling of the moment. In retrospect, my husband and I should have either gotten a friend to video our wedding, or spent significantly more money on a better wedding videographer. I have tried really hard to be less disappointed with our video, but the more friends' wedding videos I have seen, the more disappointed I have become. My video was nothing at all like the beautiful sample videos on the Emotion Picture Studio website. I am not one to leave negative reviews (in fact, I have only ever written positive reviews on Yelp), but I absolutely cannot recommend Emotion Picture Studios to anyone. read more

Marc and his team at Ashley Video / The Emotion Picture Studio are amazing! We hired them for our wedding on October 27, 2012 and we got our DVDs just in time for Christmas. They were fabulous! My groom and I had a few disagreements over whether or not to spend the money on a videographer and how much coverage (hours) to pay for. I cannot stress enough that Marc and his crew were worth every penny! We went with the longer version (you have a couple different options) and we love, love, love our video! We have actually had friends in our bridal party ask if they can watch it when they come over - honestly! Our parents love it too of course, especially some of the music, which you get to pick yourself. It's true what they say, the day goes by so fast and trust me, you'll wish you could have seen much more than you'll actually remember the next day. Let the Emotion Picture Studio be your eyes and ears and preserve those awesome moments for you. We are deliriously happy that we did and like I said, it was worth every penny. I would give them zero star if I could please please stay away from them, as other reviews mention the quality is really bad and they use stationary camera :( the whole video is terrible we first ask for non edit version, then they called and say will be nicer to edit and we agreed and pay the difference, then we get the DVD and the whole DVD is wrong we have 15 minutes of silent and ... , there is nothing from a cocktail hour or our toast then song we chosen wasn't there we contacted them and they promise they fix it and now is almost two years and nothing the last time my husband letting them now they like no is good if you want extra editing will be $200/hr, is an important day in your life stay away from them ...... read more

Marc with Emotion Picture Studio is the definition of a professional. From beginning to end, I knew I didn't have to worry about the videography. Marc helped with timing decisions, videography packages, questions, etc; he had us covered. Marc did exactly what I wanted with the final cut since I was very specific about not cutting speeches or parts of the ceremony. I've heard of so many awful stories where the videographer takes matters and music choice into their own hands and run wild, but that was so far from how Marc works. It was a pleasure doing business with Marc and The Emotion Picture Studio. This was for my daughter's wedding in September 2013. Marc was extremely easy to work with, and professional in every way. And we are all so pleased with the video. Marc was able to capture all the meaningful moments and put it all together in a beautiful way. We just love it. Absolutely amazing!!! Marc and his team of videographers did an absolutely breathtaking video. They captured all the important, fun and silly moments that really made our wedding special.
