The rooms are fairly dark and we struggled a bit with seeing some of the hints. Fairly linear order of solving puzzles relative to some escape rooms so having a larger group is not an advantage and letting the kids get a stab at some of the mechanics may not be recommended for the more competitive groups. This was not a top 5 escape room but somewhere in the top quartile. They had some very cool interactive programming that was impressive. Some of the video sequences were on the slower side with a slight lag. The Harry Potter theme was def a plus! In Seattle region the top 1 is still Locurio - Storykeeper. But wizarding school was better than some others I been.

We only used one hint in each room, the puzzles were challenging but not so difficult that we couldn't solve it. They were also very unique, definitely not traditional puzzles and the decor made them all the better. I wouldn't recommend doing more than a party of 4-5 players, there were some puzzles that some of our party couldn't quite join in on or having too many cooks in the kitchen made it more challenging than it needed to be. Our game master, Mindy, was super sweet and helpful and only offered hints when we asked. We're interested in trying out the other rooms the next time we're in Seattle!

Awesome theme, great room decoration, and a solid mix of puzzles that were a nice spread of challenging. THOUGH! I will say, I recommend you take on this room with a group of people you know well/have done an escape room with before (so you know what behavior to expect). I can't imagine trying to do this room with strangers or people who shut down when frustrated. The Facility. I wasn't sure what to expect trucking all the way out to the Georgetown warehouse district, but I was pleasantly surprised! Its clear that having such a large building allows Seattle Escape to build big games with multiple rooms and lots of decor/detail. There is also plenty of space to park, which is a rare and beautiful thing in Seattle. THOUGH---I will say, if you are an out-of-towners/generally nervous about parking in odd places---I recommend booking a room during the day. This is definitely a warehouse district that might look sketchy to anxious individuals. The Staff. We had Maddie as our Game Master, and she was wonderful! She did a great job explaining everything, was patient with us in all the right moments, and was generally a lot of fun. I also LOVED that Seattle Escape had a system set up to digitally tip the game masters! Seattle Escape won a lot of points from me by having a system like this in place to support their staff. All in all, great experience, highly recommend, and my group will definitely be coming back to try out the other rooms soon!

There seems to be an abandoned building across the street that has some odd people hanging around. Be sure to lock your car! There is parking available so that part is nice. Once you're inside the environment is very cozy and friendly. Our game host check us in quickly and have us a locker to lock away our things. If you haven't played an escape room before, they recommend that phones/wallets and etc. Be placed in the locker. Make sure your most "responsible" adult has the key. As they will be the ones to hold it for the duration of the game. The escape room itself was creatively built and just the right amount of challenge. They have a variety of rooms that offer different and unique experiences. We were able to escape and then captured a nice little picture at the end. For the price and experience - this place is worth it.

I learned these things and more from the Stray Boots app tours! Today I did the Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market tours. They were both really fun! Even though I've lived in Seattle for years, the tours helped me discover lots of Seattle history and took me to places I've never been as well as old favorites. I will definitely be recommending Stray Boots to visiting friends and family. I liked that the app let me proceed at my own pace, and everyone I asked for help, from shopkeepers to random strangers, was really friendly. What a neat way to explore a city! I'll be doing some more tours myself next time I travel.

Also upset that with all of the options for clues at the market, they had some that you could not solve on a Sunday. The market is limitless for clues- since they don't give you that many they could at least give you clues that are available every day of the week. Completely NOT WORTH $24. Meh.

Pirate Escape Review!…read more Just turning into the parking lot gives the vibe of a first generation room escape; an almost too residential feel. By first generation I mean this room escape uses more locks and simple creations rather than investing in the crazy technology that these newer rooms use. One thing that set this room escape apart from the rest is that it felt like it was fewer puzzles and harder puzzles. My team of 6 worked more together than we usually do. we weren't thrown a ton of relics and random clues for no reason. At other rooms I can make a pile of all the clues and boxes and stuff we have to find. But here the room is almost empty. It really does challenge you to think outside the box. Overall the experience was really fun. We beat it with 8 minutes to spare and we had to use a few clues which in hindsight we didn't need.

The place is not that hard to find if you know what you are looking for. They have their (small) logo posted out in the street so we found it pretty fast. The escape rooms was very fun. It's not as high tech or tech savvy as other escape room but I actually prefer it because you don't have to worry about things being glitchy or not working properly. I also like that there's no fixed amount of hints you will get, the people wants you to enjoy your time so of they see that you are definitely struggling, they will give you hints. The puzzles varies in difficulty, as we solved some faster than others. But overall, it was very entertaining and even though we didn't find the treasure, we had a lot of fun trying. The only thing I thought could improve on is that some of the locks we had to open, didn't really connect to each other, so when you solve one riddle, the clue from that can lead to any of the other riddle, and you will have to try all of them to see which will fit, you won't know which puzzle will open which locks. But that's just me :)

We went to a 100 League trivia night last year and immediately knew that we'd want them to be a…read morepart of our wedding reception. It was such a blast having them as part of our big day! Brent worked closely with us to make sure we understood the process of submitting customized trivia questions. It was also so fun to have different kinds of trivia (standard, misfits, frenzy modes and more), and they have so many amazing mini games to sprinkle in amongst the trivia sections. Our guests weren't expecting it and loved it. Also, 100 League's control boxes are the best - the design is so smart, the four arcade buttons feel perfect, the emojis-as-teams concept works perfectly, and it was great not having to worry about guests using their phones as controllers (wifi / network issues and low batteries were never a concern with the control boxes).
